Not my first time here. Had a routine exam and cleaning today and feel like its worth saying that everyone here is so nice. Dr. Azzam and the team were so warm and lovely. I had a great experience and am finally convinced, after years of putting it off, to get that night guard. No pressure from them, just reassuring and informative conversation. No pain during my cleaning either!

I was very satisfied with the office staff and of course Doctor Amri who took good and kind care of me , an old man !!

Besides having a painless experience at First Family Dental, I find that both the Staff and Dentist are very considerate to the patients needs. I personally, have had a Dentist office anxiety since I was a kid, however, all my experiences with Dr. Azzam have been psychologically relieving to say the least. You can expect clear explanations as to what your procedure will entail along with an opportunity to respond and explain your concerns, if any. 1st Family Dental is the BEST!!

Had a filling done only to have tooth sensitivity for multiple months, come in upset about it for the dentist to tell me I’m “having an attitude.” Excuse me but when I pay you over 200 dollars to do something and you do it incorrectly I’m going to be upset. She then tells me that sometimes teeth hurt for up to a year after a filling. Which I’ve never heard from any other dentist, and she didn’t tell me at the time of the filling. Don’t waste your time here. These people don’t know what they’re doing and they just want your money. I will not be returning.

My First visit at FIRST FAMILY.Dr SADAF did multiple root canal,filling,and deep cleaning .she was very caring and smooth did EXCELLENT job ,so was her assistant Miss April.this is second day i dont even need any pain killer . Usually dental job u can not except but it went smooth as silk ,thanks to DR.SADAF .got follow up call to check if i have any discomfort

They are so kind here and make you feel you feel comfortable - no one loves going to the dentist but they make the experience as good as it can be! I recommend this place to all of my friends.

FEW DAYS AGO I BOUGHT HOME TEETH WHITENING GEL FROM THIS DENTAL OFFICE. THEY SOLD ME EXPIRED GEL. AFTER ONE WEEK OF USE I WAS WONDERING WHY IT DOESN’T WORK AND THIS IS WHEN I CHECKED THE EXPIRATION DATE. I REACHED OUT TO THE CLINIC TWO TIMES AND NOBODY BOTHERED TO GET BACK TO ME.After I posted this review I was contacted by the staff members and they replaced the expired gel with a good one. They also made a new tray for my upper teeth because the first one wasn’t fitting the shape of my teeth properly. The gel really doesn’t work so I will be looking to try a different brand though.

I dont know if the lady cleaning my teeth had a bad day or she is just ruff on top of the way she spoke to me as if I was in trouble. My teeth were hurting for 2 weeks with a post nasal drip as if I had surgical a procedure or something. I am debating on switching dentist at this point for that experience alone.

My office visit with Dr. Emily was fabulous. She reviewed with me all of the options for my proceedure. She allowed me to ask questions and give input. Everything she told me - based upon what was best for me, the patient - was on the money. And she did this despite the fact that I was 20 minutes late for my appointment. By the way, the office staff was very professional and helpful, too. Thus I highly recommend 1st Family Dental of Logan Square.

Everyone who works here is superb at their job. I followed dr. Williams my orthodontist from the roselle/addison location and she is just so nice and meticulous with her care. All of the front desk girls are always so kind and accommodating when it came to scheduling. I would 100% recommend 1st family dental. They accept most insurances like mines (delta dental).

My first time going to a dentist in years. My wisdom tooth got infected and I was in so much pain. They were able to get me a same day appointment and a referral to and oral surgeon. Great service and they took many precautions for covid-19. Safe and painless visit. Will definitely be sticking with them.

My visit was very prompt, professional and comfortable. The Doctor was very courteous and the assistant was also delicate with the treatments.

Im a regular patient at this location of 1st Family Dental, and even though Ive moved out of the area, Ive remained here because of their service and care. They are always very accommodating and do not suggest treatment that is not necessary. They have always been considerate of the cost and are up front about treatment options from a financial standpoint. This will be my dentist for as long as I live in Chicago!

Dr Abdallah was amazing and so was his staff. They made me feel very comfortable as I was getting both wisdom teeth extracted. The procedure went well and I was done in just 30 minutes. It was pain free and he removed my teeth so effortlessly. Amazing job. I’m happy I found my new dentist.

Wait time was great, the dental hygienist got me right on time. Hygienist was kind and communicated with me about what she noticed and was very transparent. Slight wait time for the Dentist to come in which was due to only one Dentist being in the clinic that day. His exam was quick and a little less thorough than previous dentists of mine, but I know they dont all do exams the same. Overall I would recommend!

So this used to be my dentist and I had to switch for insurance purposes. I made an appointment here since insurance now accepts them. I found they were charging $30 in fees on a bill for my child that I had paid in full 2 years ago. These fees were not for services rendered since I requested an itemized bill. They refused to let me be seen even though an appt was scheduled until those fees were paid. I paid the $30, requested my and my child’s dental records and left. I will be finding a new dentist since they wanted to lose 2 patients for $30. Don’t come here unless you want to deal with this headache.

I got into the appointment as scheduled. The entire office was spotless. The people at the front desk were kind and helpful, and the hygienist & the doctor were both friendly, professional, and did great work.

I have been taking my children there since they were 2 (back then it was another location) they are now 25 and 15 years old.The staff there is so nice and curious. The dentists there have so much patience, they take their time with you while your in their care. Youre not just a number to them. I would definitely recommend this place. 😊

It has taken me a while to find a dentist that I feel like I can trust and that I enjoy seeing. Dr. Azzam and the staff at 1st Family Dental in Logan Square are great! Dr. Azzam is always so kind and friendly and is very informative whenever I have questions. The most important part for me is that I truly do not feel like they are constantly trying to sell me products/services/things I dont need the way typical dentists in America are. I really cannot express what a great experience I have had. In addition, they are always so timely with the appointments and receiving patients and Dr. Azzam does such a great job with my teeth! I just finished my very first appointment here. When I walked in, I was immediately seeing kids everywhere which Im definitely not a big fan of kids in general, but it was a Saturday. I had to fill out a few new patient forms and was called back pretty much on time. The experience was way pleasant and the Dentist I saw was great. I feel like I got a good cleaning and walked out happy. I was told I dont have any cavities and Ive been scammed before by Dentists wanting to charge me or my insurance company for unnecessary add ons. The location was definitely tailored to treat mainly children. There are kid paintings and the walls were full of Disney characters. I could hear the sounds of children screaming (not from torture, but misbehaving). If you dont like kids, stay out. If you do want an honest, good, quick service--I highly recommend.

I was told I needed a root canal. It took 3 appointments and before the final crown was put on I mentioned to the dentist I was having pain. She did a test that determined for her that the root canal was done correctly and put on the crown. She was out the door and in her car before I was done at reception at the end of my appointment.Months later and Im still having pain. I get a second opinion from another dentist, and surprise, I still have an infection in that tooth. Its so bad that now I feel it outside my mouth from the cheek when touched. The second dentist also said that the crown sits on a filling rather than the tooth, which could damage the seal. Now I have to get a second root canal procedure and possibly a second crown, which now is no longer covered by insurance.If you need to get a major procedure done here, just dont. Go anywhere else where the dentist will listen to your pain and isnt in a rush to get out, leaving you with the aftermath.

I dont have dental insurance and finding a reasonably priced dentist who knows what they are doing was difficult. My search ended when I found Dr. Albert Abboud. He is amazing and Ive become his patient for life. He takes the time to get to know his patients. Ive come here for procedures over the past few months and have always had a great experience with him and his staff. They are all very friendly and professional. Prices are reasonable and they are always very prompt with their appointments. I love this place and have referred my family here. Honestly not one complaint that I can think of.

The most painful routine teeth cleaning I’ve ever had - after repeatedly telling the hygienist as much she just recommended a sensitive tooth paste and continued the using the same method. My gums weren’t sensitive until you started hacking away at them! The dentist apologized and offered to put a note in my file to use a manual cleaning method in the future - I won’t be coming back to find out

I really like coming to this office. Ive had a root canal done and a wisdom tooth pulled in only 2 visits, and I couldnt be anymore satisfied with the professionalism of the dentist and the assistants. There has never been a long wait time and he gets the work done in a very satisfying timely manner.

The dentist was running behind but when I told the assistant I had an appointment at 3:30 she was able to come in n do the check and start my cleaning so I was happy about that she apologized for being behind and I was done quick and made it to my appointment

Just like Laura Jacobs I dealt with the same dentist and she was very rough when doing my fill ins.It has been a month and both my teeth hurt soo bad I have never ever in my life felt pain with my teeth. I went here because I heard great things and now Im soo disappointed because now I have to go back get my work re done and miss work.Chewing anything, drinking, eating, just EVERYTHING HURTS!!!!!!!!! And now I may have to pay again for their bad work which sucks

I really like this dental office. I have good experiences with the staff, dental hygienists, and doctors. Everyone is friendly and timely--I was in and out in almost 30 minutes today for my cleaning and exam!

So far Ive only been once but my first experience with them was great!

Dr. Marina Karnaukh was excellent. She looked at my teeth and said I had no cavities. I was happy about this. Her assistant did a really good job cleaning my teeth. I will be back for another cleaning in six months. I learned how to floss properly and got an electronic toothbrush to maintain good dental hygiene. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. There was no wait time at all and everyone answered all my questions in detail and were very patient with me. I like this place a lot.

After going here for a couple of years and being unhappy with fillings I received, I was told I had another cavity (never used to get cavities before). I went for a second opinion and was told I have NO cavities. Now Im questioning whether I really needed all those fillings....The dentists here are independent contractors and will not give an opinion on another doctors work. They basically work for themselves and do not collaborate. I dont think this is a great business model for patients health.

Doctor was very friendly and knowledgeable in answering all of my questions. Extraction was quick and painless. Minimal pain with ibuprofen only needed apx 24hours. Minor aches only occasionally 2 days later. Many thanks for getting rid of tooth and making the horrible pain go away!!

Ive had good experiences with Dr. Azzam and the staff at the Logan Square location. There was a misunderstanding with my billing one time but Cathy, the office manager at the Logan Square location, very quickly and thoroughly looked into my case and was able to resolve the issue. Happy to have a neighborhood dentist I can rely on.

Logan Square 1st Family Dental ROCKS! Dr. Irene Renieris is an amazingly compassionate & patient Dentist. I am a Chicago actor; so yes, I smoke cigarettes & drink black tea laced with chocolate. Needless to say my pearly whites get dingy & stained quickly. Several years ago, my casting agent threw me out of her office when I showed up to a commercial callback audition with, shall we say less than a Colgate smile. Luckily, I found Dr. Irene & she fit me into her already booked Saturday morning schedule; sand blasted the stains off my teeth with enough time for me to return to my agent’s studio that afternoon!! I now have my stains removed every 4 to 6 weeks (that’s right WEEKS; oh vanity-VANITY!) by one of the talented staff @ 1st Family. Dr. Irene always makes sure my oral health looks good & she has designed a strategy for me on a molar that will, at some point, need to be capped. You won’t find this type of Knowledgeable Medical Hospitality at many other Chicagoland Dentists. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Scam.Incompetent amateurs. If you know your skillset is limited to dental cleanings, dont accept appointments for wisdom extraction. Paid $50 and wasted 2 hours to be told Oh, I cant do that when I was very clear what my situation was beforehand. All they were interested in was talking me into deep cleanings. Insisting I needed oral surgery. Walked out went straight to Full Smile Family Dentistry and had both wisdoms out within the hour for a fraction of what Id have been charged if following their so called referral. More like a racket. If you need ANYTHING more than a cleaning stay away from 1st family, they simply dont know how to handle anything more.Absolutely horrid.

It was great. I came in for my 6 month cleaning, and I was in and out in 45 minutes. I do have a potential spot to watch so hopefully it doesnt turn into a cavity, but that speaks more to my sugar intake than the service.

If i could give zero stars I would. I came in for my first session to get my cavities filled ( top and bottom on the left side of my mouth) My dentist (Dr. Marina Karnaukh) told me during my appointment that she would not be able to finish my fillings (without a reason) so I ended up getting my bottom side done only. She had to give me three numbing shots because the anesthesia was not powerful enough. After the filling I took a look at my teeth and immediately noticed she completely disregarded a small cavity. My second appointment, I showed up an hour early only to be turned away because their system was down and was told they would call me to reschedule. This is by far THE WORST facility to get any dental work done. I am very dissatisfied and regret getting my cavities filled. I will not be returning to this place. Getting my refund ASAP

DR IRENE SHEYNMAN is a detail oriented Dentist. I saw her for my crown toothache and routine cleaning. Since she works at 2 other locations, scheduling mixup CAN HAPPEN. Be patient. Just reschedule.

Everytime I go its always a problem they are ignorant as all hell especially the females and the manager is just as bad...there communication with patients is horrible and there is none

They do not have patience for kids. If your child has one bad day at their office because remember kids are scared of the dentist. Its up to them to make the childs visit more relaxing. But instead, they give you an apointment for a month later, then they call the day before to cancel your appointment because your kid was scared and didnt let them do their dental work. Why didnt they say look for another dentist, especially a dentist that work well with children. I been going there for 2 years and they always changing their dentist, so its like going to the dentist for the first time all over again for a kids....If you have kids dont bother because they dont have patience for kids. GO TO APPLE DENTIST THEY ARE GREAT WITH KIDS!!!!
