Everyone from the front desk to the dental hygienist and Dentists were all very nice and welcoming. The dentist I scheduled with was not the same when I came, but the dental hygienist and dentist who helped me out were really nice and attentive. Awesome facility!!

There aren’t enough superlatives to express my opinion of Dr. Maskatiya and her staff at at First Family. Everyone is polite and professional. I had questions/issues about my coverage. Everyone put in extra effort to help me resolve them. Dr. M spent a substantial amount of time talking to me about my dental health and other relevant health issues. And a dentist’s time is valuable!Very happy with the whole practice.

The staff, dental hygienist, and doctor were so warm and friendly. I have a lot of anxiety in relation to going to the dentist and they were so compassionate and reassuring. Ive been to dentists in the past who tried to make me feel stupid for feeling anxious, but the folks here were very understanding and reassuring.

I liked how after x rays were taken Dr. Sasha sat down with you and involved you in the analysis of the X-rays. I felt in the loop and part of the process. Would highly recommend. Had an appointment yesterday and I was attended to quickly. I had to fill out a couple forms, but after was quickly given a room. My hygienist was great and very accommodating. I had to get a couple x-rays and photos taken of my teeth and after she explained everything to me, what the plan was and etc. The doctor then came and evaluated me and she was great too. She also explained things to me and gave me options. The whole process was quick and very informative. After I went back to the receptionist desk and she gave me a referral form. Overall a great experience. The staff is kind and informative. They answer whatever questions you have.

I first picked First Family Dental because it was close to my house, but Ive gone twice now and plan to make it my regular place. The staff has consistently been very friendly and I appreciate the small things they do to make my life easier such as scheduling 6 mo., Then sending text reminders of the appointment. The COVID-19 protocol was comprehensive and I felt safe during my most recent cleaning. I definitely recommend them.

I love coming to this dental office! I called for my first time today, for my 4 year old son to be seen ASAP as a new patient. They got me right in, first thing this morning and helped my little guy. I anticipate switching his primary dentist to this place with Dr. Rizwan Maskatiya. The front desk was also so very kind and helpful. I have zero complaints here and love it so far!

Seriously the best dentist I’ve been to in Chicago, bar none. I went to their office because they came up on a search with my insurance. I went there because I had a cracked crown. They immediately fixed it, I completely trust them and can’t wait to go back. Dr. Velano is the very best!They’re prices are great, but the service is unbelievable!!

Going to the dentist has always been a scary venture for me — and especially the prospect of doing so as a new parent during an airborne pandemic. The dental assistant this morning could apparently see the trepidation in my eyes behind my masks and set about to put this scaredy cat at ease. Despite being a healthcare provider myself, I have always had immense fear and anxiety in dental offices, and this kind woman used all of her skills and experience working with anxious kids and adults to make me smile and relax a bit. The dentist was professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate; she explained her findings and discussed her plan of care with me in a way that made me feel like I was part of the decision-making process. The hygienist was equally kind and professional. I also noted that both the dentist and hygienist used conscientious techniques that prevented splash to my face and/or wiped my face when it did — I’m definitely not used to folks being so mindful! The dentist also discussed options for anxiety and pain management for my next appointment — it was so nice to have the options of nitrous and pre-medication brought up by my doctor! A pleasant experience from start to finish, and the way things were conducted made me feel safe and at ease!

This is a great dentist office that weve taken our kids to for the past year. The office is clean and well presented and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The doctors themselves are great to and have good insights into how to help our kids develop good dental hygiene. I couldnt recommend them more.

Everyone was professional and friendly. They took COVID measures very seriously both in their policies and their actions. For example, I heard them ask people to wait in their cars until their appointment time and put their mask on repeatedly, which made me feel safe in an environment where there is an increased chance of COVID transmission. I will be back!

Every time I being my son here, our experience is wonderful. Today was my sons first time getting his teeth x-rayed and he was a little nervous. The dental assistant was very gracious to answer my sons questions and put him at ease (and made it a little fun, I think). The dentist was gentle and quick, even on a busy day that school was out and lots of families were bringing their kids in for visits. I wish all dentist offices were as great as this one!

My kids and I enjoyed the experience during our visit on 12/31/2020 to do some routine cleaning and fillings. The staff is helpful and friendly in spite of the COVID situation.

My appt was at 6pm. Quick entry, plenty of parking available, was attended to right away. Youre given forms that youre supposed to complete before the appt. Unfortunately, the forms were a little inefficient, I had to submit a few times because whenever I refreshed, the status would change from Submitted to Not. The doctor suggested I would need fillings and their earliest sched is Nov 23. I dont mind the wait tho, not too urgent. I asked about teeth straightening options and they dont do it but they gave me referrals.

As always, excellent and timely care in a very clean safe environment.

It was my first time at this place, so I hadnt requested a specific dentist. I assumed that would speed up things. I got there early, 20 minutes before my appointment, and was seen 35 minutes after my appointment time. After my cleaning, I had to wait another 30-40 minutes for the dentist to arrive. I got there at 210p and ended up leaving after 530p, it had to have been the longest teeth cleaning exam Ive ever experienced. I made the appointment several weeks in advance so Im not sure what the reason for the delay was.Besides that, the staff was very helpful and professional. The hygienist took her time with the cleaning and did a good job. Once the dentist arrived, she was courteous as well. Overall it was an ok place but you have to make sure you dont have anything else planned right after the appointment because the delays are unpredictable.

I can recommend 1st family Dental of Albany Park to anyone who has children- 3 and up. My daughter is 6. W e have been going there for 3 years. The dentists and their helpers are very good with children. The first experience at the dentists office is important for every child. It shapes their expectations for life. It helps them understand how important is to follow strict teeth cleaning routine every day. At Albany Park, people who work at the dental office have great attitude and proper language which encourages children to follow direction and to be able to relax when procedures are performed. I had an appointment previously and the doctor who treated me did something that was not in my tooth so for the second appointment he wanted to give me a 50% discount to reward me. It turns out that today I went to have my discount and they did not want to give it to me, I had bad attention. apart from the fact that I lost my day from work (I had to miss my job) and they were not responsible for the negligence that the doctor had and they wanted me to pay again and my entire account. It seems to me that they are not professionals because they are not speaking.

They have a very nice and clean office. Everyone has been very nice and have been able to get me appointments very quickly. I have had a routine cleaning and then also cavities filled. They did a great job, worked quickly, and checked in to make sure everything was ok during the procedure.

Dentist visits can be incredibly anxiety-inducing, let alone within the context of a pandemic, but the team at Albany Park has always gone above and beyond to create an environment that feels safe, warm, and calm. The hygienists are always so thorough and gentle; Rania in particular pairs her competence with such a cheerful presence that never ceases to bring a smile to my face. She is a ray of sunshine. I also sincerely appreciate Dr. Rizwana Lakhani’s poise and clear communication. She always offers her undivided attention and is excellent at explaining treatment steps and why they are necessary. Not only does her precise demeanor make me feel informed, but it eases my nervousness as well. I also want to acknowledge Hala. In addition to always providing a welcoming and friendly energy at check-in and check-out, she recently took the time to explain alternative payment options to me when I needed a procedure that was not covered by my very limited insurance plan. Thanks to Hala’s advice, I was still able to get the care I needed without completely depleting my savings, and that is something for which I am so so appreciative. In short, the entire staff meets you where you are and creates experiences that are supportive, sensitive, and positive. I am so grateful for the work they do and for the conscious and dedicated energy with which they do it.

I haven’t been to a dentist for a very long time. I have what is called dentist anxiety and I wished I didn’t which would’ve saved a tooth that went damage. A very kind staff and doctors. Not pushy but thorough about what works best for the process. Glad I chose them.

I go here both for my cleanings and my preschoolers dental checkups. I really appreciate how up front they are with the cost of any work that they offer to do (which for us over the course of a couple of years has still come out to maybe $50 after insurance).Thanks to the friendly staff, hygienists, and dentists my 4 year old is actually excited when its time to go in for a dentist appointment. For me as an intermittent flosser (at best), I dont go in dreading being lectured - they encourage me to do better without making a big production out of it.Ive certainly found myself recommending them to my coworkers and have had several very positive experiences there.

Took my daughter in for her first appointment and she loved it! There was a play room available while we waited; the dental technician was kid friendly and did an excellent cleaning; and they finished off the visit with a ballon. I just want my two year old to enjoy taking care of her teeth at this point, and they helped make this a positive experience.

While in traffic, my front teeth bridge had popped. I was lucky as Family Dental was right there. I walked in to try my luck and see if I can get in. The front desk girls were very nice and very helpful. Not been sure about my insurance, they go the extra mile and found it (now I know whom Im paying fir insurance 😀). I did had to wait for close to 2 hours till they saw me, but considering I was a walk-in without an appointment, it sure beets going to work the next morning without teeth!! The Dr. was nice, informative and did what I asked without forcing any other care (and my mouth have plenty of work to do). Long story short, I set another appointment and if all goes well, I might continue my treatment with this place, guess time will tell. Thank you for helping me in my emergency

If I could give no stars I would absolutely do due to the terrible service I got. The employees at the office are unprofessional , they do NOT know what they are doing or what they are talking about. I have scheduled a appointment for my kids and I have previously called twice to confirm that my insurance will cover the the visit and they said “it will be 100% covered”. The day of the appointment I called to let them know that I was on my way and they changed what they’ve confirmed before to that the Insurance will cover one child only, mind you I have 5 kids and that would be a lot of money . Then later on the same employee informs me that the visit won’t be covered for any of my kids WHILE I WAS ON MY WAY TO THE APPOINTMENT, and to just turn around and not go to the office otherwise i would be paying from my own pocket. I wasted my time and my gas for absolutely nothing. Will absolutely never ever go there again or recommend it to anyone!

Great dentists! But, be prepared to WAIT. The last time I went, I waited 45 minutes to be seen. In fact, I usually wait 30-45 min for every visit.

My 5-year-old and I have been going to 1st Family Dental for about 1-2 years now and they have always been so caring, kind, accommodating, and understanding as well as very patient with adults and children! I do not plan on switching dental locations anytime soon since 1st Family Dental and their orthodontics Midwest next door fulfill all of my families dental needs.

Dr. Xu and Dr. Lakhani are so kind and informative! Im cavity-prone so Ive had my share of drilling done but Ive never had a bad experience here.

Finally found a competent dentist in Dr. Velano (didnt lie to me as others have regarding unnecessary & costly procedures). Dental office staff worked with me to maximize (use all) insurance benefits, leaving only my share to pay.

After an exhaustive search for a Dental clinic, not far from my residence and acceptable to my insurance, I found 1st Family Dental as my final choice. Visited first time on 7/25/2017 and after my detailed checkup, I was told that my treatment needs prior approval from my insurance plan. Asked to wait for 3-4 weeks. I am yet to know the worth of the clinic, doctor, and the staff.

I recently switched dental insurance and as a result I had to switch dentist, I have about $600.00 credit with 1st Family Dental due to major work they did on my teeth. Right now I have a bad toothache, I learned I need a new crown and of course the new dentist requires me to pay my coopayment which is more that $250.00 so I need my credit from 1st Family Dental but they are giving me a hard time giving me my money back!. After spending more than one hour on the phone as usual, I have been told I wont see my money until 2 or 3 weeks!!!!Extremely upset with a bad toothache!,Emilio Flores

I had an appointment with them once a week for a month or so, and my experience every visit was so pleasant. Plus theyre very honest with billing, and reasonable price. I would definitely recommend their services.

Im in so much pain and was told 2 weeks ago Id be scheduled to have my wisdom teeth pulled out. I was prescribed medication and was told to take if for 1 week. 2 weeks later I get a phone call from 1st family dental telling me Id need to make another appointment for more X-rays. I ask them why havent they called me a week ago or 2 weeks ago telling me this. They said the doctor is only here once a week.I mean what kind of facility has a doctor come in once a week? Especially for just wisdom teeth ? Come on 1st family get it together! Ill be going elsewhere where Im treated much better then just a pay check!

I have a horrible experience at this place, I used to be dr Sherman’s patient, and I had a tooth pain that needed a filling nothing else. I was so surprised when I heard the Sherman telling me that the tooth needed a crown, I told her how come it needs crown my tooth doesn’t have root canal ? Well she said it doesn’t mean anything we put crown even when the tooth doesn’t have root canal ‘’ I was so amazed from her words, I didn’t agree and I told her I want just a regular filling not crown, I made the appointment and she did the filling. That tooth is perfectly fine and doesn’t hurt anymore but the biggest surprise happened when dr Sherman did the filling and the assistant accidentally cracked another tooth. I didn’t noticed at the moment but the next day in the morning, I went back to an other dentist and when I told him what happened and if he could fix the crack he was trying to convince me that cracked tooth COULD BE from grinding the teeth which I don’t have any problem with grinding teeth at all. I would suggest all the people that see this on the web not to go at this place because if they keep up with this, in couple of years you aren’t going to have any teeth left.

I had A cracked tooth in excruciating pain on a Sunday morning! Called everyone with no success, and finally came across 1st Family Dental. I told them my problem and I was able to come in immediately. Everyone there gets a 5+*s Dr. Stojanovic, Wow she was amazing and gentle and kept me calm and so reassuring! She knew I was in pain, scared and she did her business! Finally some relief! Thank you all! Great group even better weekend hours Sundays!
