I wasn’t satisfied with my experience at the dental place. I got brace with them and when I paid off my remaining balance I still had a balance and they didn’t help me understand besides tell me either I pay or they don’t see me. Customer service wasn’t all that good and they suggest work be done that wasn’t necessary to do. Overall I wasn’t happy with experience

This place is great. It’s further from my house; however, it’s worth the trip. The ladies at the front desk are all very pretty and everyone is so nice. I’ve seen Dr. Dace a few times now and she is always very nice. Another person that stands out is dental hygienist, Jackie. THE LOCATION I HAD SERVICES AT WAS 1610 w. Fullerton, Chicago IL. The orthodontist was very kind and sweet.! Dr. Taneva was her name. During my consultation she was patient and explained the treatment plan for me thoroughly and was ready to move forward. My issue was with the building receptionist, her name was CAT (at least that’s what she told me). Cat had a real nasty attitude towards me and did not want to help me AT ALLLLL.! She told me DECEMBER 10, 2020...that I would have my dentist appointment on January 7, 2021 to apply my braces just to end up changing it because of what she called it (miscommunication) it was so unfair because with my demanding job and my sons e-learning due to the pandemic I planned my whole entire week around that appointment date.! She threatened to hang up on me several times, she placed the call on hold for 15 mins, came back with an attitude. After asking for her manager she said “I AM THE MANAGER” I then asked her who could I speak with to put a complaint on her unprofessionalism and she told me “I AM UNABLE TO GIVE YOU THAT INFORMATION” she was absolutely rude. She showed absolutely no compassion at all. She messed up the paperwork with my insurance company which also caused a delay because she gave them the wrong ID NUMBER FOR THE DENTIST ON MY AUTHORIZATION PAPER. Instead of sending my providers ORTHODONTIST ID NUMBER, she sent the providers General DENTIST ID numbers. So it took longer for them to approve my orthodontist 🦷 work far as my braces because my insurance company had to fix her error. Other than that I’ve never had a issue at this dentist office... JUST Her.

Dr. abu and his assistant are amazing. I went in for an extraction I was super nervous but they made me feel so comfortable. The process was pain free from start to finish. This will be my go to dentist from now on.

I found my orthodontist works at the Fullerton location, 15 minutes from my work place, and thought Wow! This is great. I don’t have to change locations. On top of the fact the waiting area is modern with free coffee and comfortable seating. The associates and assistants are great as well. Thanks Alana & Jackie for your great customer service.

I go here for my braces. They have a great payment plan. The staff are friendly and helpful. The orthodontist is so sweet. They have 7 locations and 3 of those has a orthodontist. I highly recommend them.

She’s straightforward, honest and extremely aware/cautious of my sensitivities when doing work in my mouth - her and Jackie are the absolute best duo. I have encountered nothing short of the highest level of hospitality while in their Fullerton office. I’m beyond grateful.

Terrible service! I had an appointment in January (at the Central ave location) for issues with my wisdom teeth, they took full panoramic X-rays, showing that one of my teeth was impacted. I had an appointment with the oral surgeon that they work with but his hours did not fit my schedule so i went elsewhere and requested my X-rays be sent there. this request occurred the day before the office had to close due to the pandemic so the X-rays were not sent. I waited until I received an email saying they were back open, called again and requested they be sent to the new oral surgeon I found. They stated they would be sent. The week Monday before my Friday appointment I called the oral surgeon to confirm they had been received, they had not. I called ADA and they said they would re-submit the request.The day of the appointment I called the oral surgeon again to confirm receipt, they had still not gotten the X-rays, so I once again called ADA, this time I stayed on the line to try to figure out why they were not being sent, and it turns out that the Central ave location was still closed and they did not have access to my records. I needed to get my wisdom teeth removed as this had already been delayed 6 months due to the pandemic and I have had issues with infections in the past along with being allergic to most antibiotics so couldnt afford to wait longer so I requested to be reimbursed the $98 I had to pay OOP for the panoramic X-rays, since i now needed to have new ones taken at the oral surgeons office and pay OOP again. I was told I would need to speak to a supervisor and that the supervisor was not in the office but they they would call me back. I waited a week with no return call and tried calling again only to be told again that I would receive a call back. This was 2 months ago and I have yet to receive a call back.DO NOT GO HERE. The fact that they cannot access records from a different location is strike one (how are these not saved on a shared database?); the fact that they were unwilling to try to get them for me was strike two; the fact that after I explained my situation and asked to be reimbursed for X-rays they are refusing to provide me with they never tried to rectify it was strike three. Bonus strike that they never called me back, tooP.S. - they are a ripoff as well. I went in and they told me I needed to have 6 cavities filled (it has been a while since my last visit to a dentist, but 6 is quite a lot) and a deep cleaning, all totaling over $350, however, Ive found a new dentist and have just been informed I have only three cavities to be filled.Would give negative stars if it was possible.

I had made an appointment for a tooth extraction back in February which obviously was cancelled due to COVID. My $100 deposit for the surgery was not refunded, and when I tried to set up a new appointment, I was asked to pay the deposit again. After a bit of difficulty, American Dental realized that I in fact has a $200 credit to my account (my $100 deposit + $100 referral credit — won’t be doing that again!) and allowed me to book the appointment without paying another deposit.Unfortunately, the week before the appointment, I was informed that my surgeon would be busy during my the time I booked (why? Isn’t the purpose of making an appointment and paying the deposit to make sure all the people who need to be there are there?) and I would have to change the time. Thankfully I was able to reschedule for a later time on the same day, at my own inconvenience. I say “thankfully” because the oral surgeon only works on Mondays; how he manages to earn a living wage while working so few hours is beyond me.When I arrived for my twice-rescheduled surgery, I learned that the laughing gas machine was broken, so I was fully lucid while my 3 wisdom teeth came out. The icing on the cake was when I went in for my post-op assessment and was given a plastic syringe to rinse out my sockets. This syringe was given to me in a “sterile” package; however, the package was not sealed (fold over sticker tab at the bottom left the sleeve completely open) so I do not know if the syringe is safe to use.Overall, my experience with American Dental has been rife with confusion, disappointment, and frustration. It seems strange that if I miss my appointment I lose my $100 deposit, but if the office cancels my appointment I don’t get it back. And why wasn’t I alerted before my surgery that I couldn’t have laughing gas? And what’s the point of using sterile packaging during a pandemic if you’re not going to ensure that it is sealed? Just a lot of questions. 2 stars because the teeth cleanings I’ve had here went smoothly and because at least the oral surgeon didn’t remove my teeth with a baseball bat.

I love American dental on Fullerton. Ive been w them for some time now and I never felt more welcome than now. I spoke to Jessica a few times this past week and every single time she was just as happy and provided me great service and guidance and answer all of my questions. I have to say, she is by far the very best at American dental. Katerina is also great. Keep up the good work guys! you two rock! Dr J does great work and she is very sweet with me and my kids. :) highly recommend them. If you call, do yourself a favor and ask for Jessica she is amazing!

I had to have a fair amount of dental work done, which I knew about and was ready to reluctantly accept. Dr. Rachel is superbly friendly, and the hygienists and front desk staff are always just as wonderful. I am not going to tell the worlds worst lie and say I enjoy going to the dentist now, but this is about as painless as it can possibly get.

Dr. Dace is amazing! Super personable, but still professional. I hadn’t been to the dentist in a really long time, but she didn’t shame me for it, but rather helped me get my dental health back on track.

As someone who grew up with the same dentist (from age 3-26) when I moved to Chicago I had a really hard time finding a dentist office that I felt comfortable at. After trying 3 others-I found this place and immediately felt totally cared for. From the receptionists at the front desk, the dental hygienists, and the dentists I felt listened to and felt as though I was getting the best treatment.I would recommended any of my friends to come here if they were searching!To say I love the dentist may be a stretch, BUT, I do love this dental office.

I was so scared to follow through and finally take care of my dental issues but this practice had such great reviews. Walking in the door, I had a warm and welcoming environment, just what I need being so anxious. Alana, the receptionist was so sweet and helpful, and Dr. Zinzalet was thorough and reassuring. This office has also gone above and beyond in accommodating my needs and timeline. Ive never felt so confident, nor have I had such expedient care.

I wasted my time with them only to not have anything resolved. I went in for a routine check up and cleaning. It was discovered that I needed a root canal, which maxed out my Care Credit, and was turned away the cleaning was not done. When I went in to get the crown put in I was told that a lengthening needed to be performed for an additional $700. I was turned away again without any work being finished. But already the dentist was trying to sell me another root canal that needed to be done. Why would I want to pay more money for half a job? Now I have a temporary filling with no crown. And Im out $1,000+ for a root canal and no crown. I just do not appreciate being put through the pain that I have been put through for over a month now. And yet, the work was not finished. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this place. Unless you like getting dental work start but not finished. Just make sure to have an open wallet.

I made an appointment at American Dental on ZocDoc and found out on my arrival that it didn’t go through and the dentist I had (randomly) chosen wasn’t in. BUT reception was extremely helpful and Dr. Jardeleza was able to see me at the last minute! She was super empathetic and walked me through everything. I have a lot of dental anxiety and this appointment was a dream!Update: having visited a few times, I can say that Dr. J ROCKS and I love her as a dentist, but administratively, American Dental sucks. I ended up paying hundreds of dollars for a filling that I had been told prior to the procedure was fully covered by my insurance (spoiler: it wasn’t). This was also partially Humana’s fault who *also* told ME it was covered when I called them, then changed their story once I actually got the filling. The front desk staff at AD was confusing and unhelpful and even rude throughout the entire billing process and it makes me never want to return even tho I do love Dr J :(

The dental hygentist was very nice and made me feel relaxed, when usually I’m super nervous to see the dentist. Dr. Rachel Z. was so friendly and informative about what was going on with my dental health which I really appreciated. It was a great dentist experience and I will be coming back again.

My first visit at American Dental was great. I was greeted promptly and was told to fill out some paperwork. The waiting area was spacious and comfortable. They called me in and started my xrays. Everyone was super personable and knowledgeable and made my experience as comfortable as possible.

They were super fast and everyone was extremely nice. I’ve had my share of dentists and this has been by far the most pleasant experience! I live in the south side and travel up here for my visits!

Waited a month for a consultation with an oral surgeon before arriving to be told that the procedure would cost more than double what was quoted due to insurance - staff didnt think it was relevant to notify me of this change.

This place was everything you would expect from a dentist office and more. The appointments were easy to set up online and when I got there it was only about 2-3 minutes wait time until I was seen. I was never left in a room waiting for the next step and everyone from the receptionist, the support staff, to the dentist were friendly and welcoming.I have had dental work done many times in my life and I can easily say that this was the most efficient and painless place I have been to. The 30-40 minute procedure ended before I knew it and they even provide some in-chair entertainment by having Jeopardy play on the TV screen above the chair.As a bonus they even had some soothing massage chairs that rubbed your upper back as you sat there in peaceful bliss.

When I needed an emergency appointment on a weekend, I was referred to American Dental and it was a game changer. Every person I interacted with (staff, dentist, assistants, endodontists) have been so nice, so thorough and so accommodating. You earned not only my business but my family’s as well.
