I really enjoyed going to the dentist today. The place was very clean and was ready for Covid I really enjoy the doctor and the person that waited on me. The atmosphere is great it makes you feel comfortable. I would advise anybody that need to see a dentist to go here.

This office has been a failure on nearly every level of our experience. My husband had an appointment in May and was advised that his fillings should be replaced because they have mercury (amalgam fillings are standard and not considered a health risk; we didnt know this at the time). He paid at the time of service. Almost 2 months later, hes still in pain from the work that was done. Hes had 3 follow up visits, but Estrada could/did not provide any helpful suggestions for pain relief (he recommended a mouth guard, which we purchased and hasnt helped). He suggested a root canal if it doesnt get better. My husband saw another dentist who gave him a couple minor treatments that at least provided temporary relief. He also found that the removal of 2 of the fillings exposed tooth material too close to the root, causing pain and sensitivity. He wasnt informed of this risk before the procedure. Today, I received a bill in the mail from Estrada charging us for 2 separate amounts: 1. one of his follow up visits, to correct the pain that Estrada caused and 2. when they quoted the price and insurance coverage initially, they neglected to factor that our insurance doesnt cover composite fillings at the same percentage as amalgam. I still have the estimate they gave us when they accessed our coverage through our company and told us that insurance would pay a certain amount. They lied to upsell. Theyve taken no responsibility for the damage theyve caused. Now theyre demanding further payment.

I just had a crown removed and replaced this morning; all in one morning with no need for a temporary and with my insurance it cost less than I thought it would (thanks Maryanne for helping me navigate the federal employees dental plans last year). Dr. Mangaya and her staff are phenomenal. They made sure I couldnt feel a thing and explained everything they were doing. Of course, I always look forward to my semi-annual cleaning with Daisy who is super friendly. If youre anywhere in Hampton Roads and need a dentist, do yourself a favor and contact Estrada Dentistry. Theyre excellent.

Great experience with Crown replacement procedure, which went efficiently and painlessly. I have been Dr. Estradas patient for over a decade and have consistently received excellent Dental Care to date. His entire staff are equally most professional in their respective jobs. I feel fortunate to have them as my dental care providers.

I have been attending this office for 20years. My children the same for the last decade. My mother and sisters are apart of this team! I always feel safe, they educate you, they hold you accountable for your checks ups etc! This is a wonderful family/ team of dentistry.

I go in for a routine dental clean up - twice a year service, the hygienist does not take an authorization from me for full debridement (which was not necessary) and do not check with my insurance if it is covered but performs the service and after completing that, they ask me to pay $169. Not sure how many people are victims of this robbing. They provide service without your approval/insurances pre authorization and demand you to pay for it later. Not fair. I would not recommend this provider for anyone. Stay away.

My family and I have been patients here for years and have had nothing but good experiences. I will say that I am very happy today seeing that the COVID-19 precautions are still being taken very seriously here. Safety first!!!

This was my 1st visit with Estrada Dentistry, It was a real nice cozy environment. Everyone was so nice and pleasant (even with Covid-19 going around) all the social distancing was going on with plastic dividers, chairs, face shields and masks. Before my first visit, I spoke with Carol at the front desk to confirm they accepted my dental plan. She was very pleasant and professional and diligent in following up since to reach someone from my dental plan proved to be difficult. On my first visit I was greeted at the front door and asked a few questions, had my temperature taken then shown the front desk, Again the front desk staff was very courteous, in fact, all the staff was courteous and friendly and greeted me as I passed them by. Danielle, my hygienist was exceptional in doing a thorough job checking and cleaning my teeth. I am very pleased the Estrada dentistry and highly recommend them!

This office, dentist, hygienist and staff are awesome. After being with another dental office (starts with a K), the whole staff is professional and friendly, and let not forget attentive and knowledgeable. They do not rush out, they explain everything in detail and do not let you with questions.

Id give no stars considering i didnt even make it in the office. I called as a new patient whos in pain and pregnant with alot of work to be done. MARYANN THE OFFICE MANAGER refused me as a patient because I have medicaid and they dont accept it. Made it seem like I had some sort of disease or that I couldnt pay for it. Then proceeded to not tell me who she was when I asked to speak to a manager. I was then put on mute while I was talking and hung up on as I was asking to talk to someone else. That wasnt completely ignorant what she did. Very horrible and definitely would never take my children there just for the attitude I caught. Cedar Road Dental actually found me an office that took my insurance instead of being rude like Mrs Maryann the office manger!

We love Dr. Estrada. He is a professional dentist that is kind and caring. He does dental work with perfection. He is always watching out for his patients best interest. I love how polite he is to his own staff. The office is equipped with high tech equipment. Most work can be done in the same visit. His office is immaculately clean. I have not been to the dentist for around 20 years had a bad experience with a dentist in the Bronx in NYC, I have been so scare of the dentist once again I tried a couple of years just to clean had a dentist inform me due to my medical illness that he can not put anything on my gums and has to remove plague that had formed as a bridge on my two front bottom teeth that was painful never return..A family member recommended this office As soon as you open both doors you have two beautiful ladies with huge smile welcoming you I am Ms Rebecca relaxed me and was so gentle and numb my gums too before working on me took my blood pressure Thank you very much my follow up visit I met Estrada and Estrada nice couple...If you need your teeth done this is the place Thank you I am not afraid any more

I am glad I chose this team to be my new dentist after mine didnt take my insurance. The staff here are all friendly. Polly who worked on my teeth, always asked if i was doing okay and told me step by step of what was being done. Dr. Estrada answered all my questions and showed compassion. I am looking forward to seeing them all again!

When I came to Dr Estrada I knew nothing about dental implants but had already lost several teeth. I learned to eat on one side and had been doing it for so long I didnt realize how it handicapped me. Patiently Dr E started working with me and it was a real mission to get me through it. It took so long because I kept floundering on the process, the price, the time. Dr E and the entire staff worked with me. My best friend finally told me, you only have one life and you deserve to enjoy every minute of it. That woke me up and I finished the process. That was about 3 years ago. Thank Goodness the staff stayed with me, kept me going. My life is completely changed. I smile with confidence, I enjoy food....food I havent eaten in 20 years! And every time I visit for a check up I am proud to show them my teeth....the are beautiful and I am a new person. Big thanks to everyone at the office. You guys make visiting such a pleasure. If you are unhappy with your smile....these are the people to trust. They will work with you.

I was greeted inside the foyer by a friendly voice and smiling eyes. My temperature was taken touchlessly asked a few questions and went inside. The waiting area was nicely spaced. I was brought to the procure are are by my hygienist. Each room had heavyweight plastic over the entry ways. Every staff member had on proper PPE. There was an air sanitizer in the room.Dr. Estrada has does everything to make his clinic safe during this time. Seamless thankyou!

I had an emergency; a tooth needed to be extracted. I felt the staff considered it more important to remove it than to be overly concerned if I could pay or not and arrangements were made to my satisfaction. I love the way Dr. Estrada talks you through each step. Other than getting the area numbed, which was no more than a couple of pinch-like sticks, I had no real pain even after the procedure. I highly recommend this office and Maria was super nice as well. She is at the front desk.

Wonderful staff, wonderful dentist! They have done great work. When I missed my appointment (thinking it was for the following day), they were able to squeeze me into the schedule anyway and were VERY kind about it! I highly recommend!!

Update: Got mail today from Estrada Dental that was a bill indicating 90 days past due, and it is the first bill I received from them, and is an erroneous bill. And for what? No description, service date, nothing. Plus when I canceled all other appointments with them a while back, I was assured nothing was due and nothing further was needed from me. I called the number listed for billing questions this evening, and of course the office is closed, however I still couldnt leave a message with the service requesting a call back when they got the message, as she stated that for billing it says to contact the practice directly and that the office reopens Monday. Understandable. I previously got fillings there, the dentist forgot to do planned sealants, stating he didnt see them. I paid my portion before leaving that day. The dentist was back and forth between my room and somewhere else as well as the assistants were switched out all while Im there with my mouth open. Again, I sat with the lady and paid that day. I even had to tell her to remove the two sealant charges that day, as they were not done, not completed at all. I paid in full what I owed that day before leaving. That day was not a good experience and I even had a lot pain and much sensitivity on the side that was worked on the same evening after that and since then, which I contacted them about and my experience continued to be more unsatisfactory after that -- I wont get into all of those details of events after that. I wont make this review too long, but because of the experience with even the very few visits I had and the lack of comfort and confidence I have with the care I received, discussions had,w as as well other concerns and discomfort, I canceled all other appointments, canceled everything, and made sure nothing was pending, which I was assured so by the person I spoke with on the phone that day. So to now today, for the first time, receive a bill for over $300 which also says its over 90 days due for nothing is ridiculous and even more concerning and pretty disturbing. I need Estrada Dental to remedy this as soon as possible. Hopefully me receiving this bill showing a balance due is all just a huge billing mistake, and if so, I will update my review accordingly.Had my first visit today with Craig Estrada, and Hygienist Laura. Both were personable, professional, thorough, patient and attentive. The office was welcoming, and friendly from the moment I walked in and throughout my time in the back. Not only to me, but also what I observed the office showing to others. One hygienist opened the door to the lobby and called for a gentleman by his last name. Normal, I know. But after that, while waiting for him to walk to the door, she then greeted everyone else sitting in the lobby by saying good afternoon, everyone. I was sitting closest to that door so it was a pleasant surprise. That type of courtesy is unfortunately rare and lacking from many professional offices now, but this one has got it. Everything was very clean, too. I was referred to this practice by a co-worker, and not all referrals work out, but it seems so far this has and Im hoping it continues. I Will Be Returning. One star missing because of the inconvenience of them not having any sooner available second appointments for my cleaning. I understand and appreciate them trying to keep you with the same hygienist, but having to schedule so far until the next appointment for cleaning is still disappointing because its an inconvenience when trying to coordinate around work and other obligations. I will say they were able to schedule me in fast for my initial evaluation visit. Thank you for a good first visit.

I have been a patient here for 11 years and love the entire staff. From the office staff, the technicians, the dental assistants and the Doctors. They are all very accommodating if you have phobias, they work with you to ensure your visit is as comfortable as possible. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a Dentist.

My 17 year old had her first cavity appointment this afternoon. Although she was overly anxious and tear eyed from fear (even before the novacaine), dr Estrada took extra time and used his calm demeanor to make her feel at ease. He explained everything in advance and was very reassuring. After he was done, she couldnt believe how compassionate and caring he, as well as his assistant, were. The entire staff is awesome.

My complaint with this practice lies with the billing department. When they initially went over the cost of my crown with me she showed me a chart and explained that our dental insurance operates on a fee schedule, so based on what she saw our total out-of-pocket cost would be around $50 or so. I thought this seemed a bit low but I figured she knew what she was talking about. When I made the appointment I was told I would receive a phone call to go over what our insurance would not cover. I never received that phone call, and when I went in this morning for my appointment I was told that the pre-authorization with my insurance had not been completed yet, and that my total amount due today would be $305. I then need to wait and see if insurance will agree to cover their portion, and if not I will then be responsible for around $650. A phone call before the date of the appointment (as originally promised) would have been nice so I could have planned accordingly. Not to mention, why wasnt the pre-authorization completed prior? I will be looking for another practice for all of my future dental needs, which is a shame because the dentists and hygenists are great.

After being a part of this dental practice for many, many years, I was finally given an opportunity to become a part of the dental family, IE staff. I love the family atmosphere and friendly environment between co-workers and patients, and the attention to detail the doctors provide is superb. I recommend this practice to anyone I know in need of dental care, and will remain a patient for many years to come!

If you need a sleep apnea oral device, stay away from this practice! They wont even schedule a consult visit with the doctor until they have a prior authorization from your insurance, and then they misrepresent what is covered. I was told that, because of my plan, insurance would cover 100% of my costs. They submitted the prior authorization and scheduled an appointment without even asking me what was convenient. I couldnt make the appointment, and when I called to reschedule, I was told that insurance would cover 100% of my costs AFTER I met a $600 deductible! I told them to forget it and asked them to cancel the prior authorization so I could go somewhere else where they DO cover 100% of costs and they refused. Now I have to wait for the prior authorization to expire before I can go somewhere else. Id give zero stars if I could. TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE customer service!!!
