The staff is so friendly, polite, and patient! My Service was quick I even got two appointments in one day. Justine was very helpful with guiding me on what I should get and she scheduled me as soon as she was able to for each visit. My dentists were very comforting and easy going. I was given so many helpful tips and alternatives for my teeth. 10/10 highly recommend they have been my favorite dentistry!

Even though we recently moved 45 minutes away, this will be our dentist for as long as they can handle our crazy family! 🤪

The hygienist was good & provided helpful info. However,I can’t say the same for her supervisor (I guess whoever the person telling her what to say/do from another room). I’m a season RN & take my health seriously! I had shared that both my cardiologist, Orthopaedist didn’t think taking antibiotics prior to regular dental cleanings was necessary! I also believe overuse when there is no real reason other than an “ADA recommendation” will possibly create an event where your body will not respond to the antibiotics when a real infection is present! Whomever she was getting directions from, made me feel threatened when she said they would do my cleaning this time, but next will need pre-med! As I informed her that I will go by my health specialist & ADA is a recommendation & everyone has different health issues! My dentist & other staff I’ve worked with for years don’t work on Fridays, so wasn’t able to speak with them about the situation! It has made me very frustrated & not sure if I will return next year, but do like my original staff that during the years have made me comfortable!

I havent seen anybody yet and have already decided I am not coming back. My initial appointment was also rescheduled. I also received multiple calls about my insurance right up to the minute I arrived. I had given them all the information in my first call and in at least two subsequent calls. Also, their mens room toilet is not flushing which is a sign of poor customer service. Also I dont care to see people eating their breakfast while they are supposed to be assisting me. Also their waiting room is poorly air conditioned which makes for an uncomfortable long wait.

My family and I had a great experience. From the front office associate Darius, our Dental Hygienist Breonna and most of all the Dentist Dr. Lanier were all AMAZING! I had mixed feelings regarding my last visit. I really do not like having a lot of x-rays taken. This last visit the hygienist took two unnecessary x-rays of my tooth that the dentist did not even need nor acknowledge when she came in to put in my permanent crown. I had expressed some concerns to the hygienist of some pain that I was experiencing with the temporary crown and wondered if there was a need for a root canal that the Dentist had suggested as a possible procedure I may need prior to being fitted for a permanent crown given how close my tooth was to the nerve. The hygienist said she needed to take 2 x-rays. I asked if we could wait until the Dentist came in first to see if she needed x-rays. The hygienist informed me that she knew the dentist was going to need them . When the dentist came in and I informed her of my concern and shared that the hygienist had already taken two -rays, the dentist looked surprise and did not look at the x-rays. Shed looked in my mouth and based on the questions she asked me determined that a root canal was not likely needed. Because of the concern I had expressed she suggested putting the permanent crown in with temporary glue and for me to come back in two weeks to see how things were going. She then asked the hygienist to take an x-ray of the permanent crown in my mouth. I feel that this office is too quick to take x-rays as if you are simply taking a picture photo of your mouth with no risk of radiation effect. More direct and personal communication with the Dentist is desired upon visits.Ouside of the x-rays, I am pleased wtith the level of services that I have recieved thus far.

This Dental office is the Best!!! The Staff and Doctor was AMAZING!!!!They are Extremely Affordable and Very Professional. They understood our situation with his teeth and were an absolute pleasure to do business with. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DENTAL OFFICE !!!!!!! My fiance was in extreme pain from a tooth that had broken. I called the Richmond office but because he was in Chesapeake on that day they referred me to the Chesapeake office. They rushed him in and got him taken care of.

I went to this dentist on Monday this week and I haven’t been to the dentist in 15+ years bc I have a horrible fear of dentist, well Ashley the dental assistant and the dentist were/are amazing. They calmed me down kept me calm made me laugh and feel so comfortable. They made sure I wasn’t in any pain whatsoever and I got a phone call from them today asking how I’m feeling am I ok having any pain issues etc which to me is amazing. I have many more appointments with them and I am happy to say I am not afraid to go back to them. They are absolutely amazing. 10 out of 10 stars from me.

I am completely disappointed in this dental office. I called almost 2 1/2 months ago and schedules a cleaning that was pushed out for 2 months. While scheduling that appointment the receptionist asked me several general questions and did not confirm my telephone number. My appointment was scheduled so far out that I forgot the time of it so I called to confirm. At that time I’m sure the “same” receptionist let me know that they tried to call to let me know that my appt had been rescheduled due to a hygienist not being available. I asked well why didn’t I receive a phone call,text or VM and they said they did. I asked them what number they had and they told me a number I had about 7 years ago. Smh so then the receptionist proceeded to tell me she couldn’t get me another appt until February 17 which is another month away. I never EVER leave negative reviews but they way that receptionist treated me over the phone expressing not 1 bit of “empathy” is what really made me do this review. Do better!!!!! I will take my business elsewhere.

I actually love going to Dr. Lanier. I been going to her seven or eight years. Her hygienists are very nice and professional. The only problem I have is I been trying to make my appointment since July and it’s November now. Every time I call they put me on hold. I hang up after holding for five min call back and they put me on hold. Was able to talk to someone in October. The person I talked to in October told me she had openings for November 19 and told me I had a balance. I asked how Is that possible? I have insurance and I paid for my invisiline in full before service was done. The person told me I’m not sure but her computer went down and she will call me back. Three weeks later still can’t get any appointment. I sent a email to their office asking for appointment in October and nothing. Maybe they short staff in the front. I’m not sure but I will be finding a new dentist. I hate to switch because Lanier and her staff is the bomb but the appointment staff...

I had two postpones for my dental checkup. I was told twice, my usual hygienist was unavailable. So when I had my appointment yesterday, I had a different hygienist??? My original appt was 6/20, then 8/20. So I missed out on my two checkups for the year with my dental insurance.

I was double charged twice for a routine cleaning for my son and I. No one could tell me what was going on with the billing and they kept calling me and sending me bills in the mail stating that I need to pay and if I didnt pay I would owe more money. It took 3 months just to reach someone who would listen to me and explained that I was overcharged. Now its been 8 months from that time and I have spent countless hours on the phone and even going to the location to get the refund they promised me would be sent and I still have yet to receive my money. This issue has been escalated to the Headquarters as well and no one has answers or always says they are going to call me back but til this day I have not received my money back Im in the process of contacting the Better Business Bureau due to this unprofessional behavior. This is unacceptable and it needs to be addressed with the appropriate force because I have been patient long enough.

Dr. David Dano was the greatest, it was my first visit to this facility. With Covid-19 I had an extremely bad tooth that needed immediate attention and was recommended to Crossroads. I have a extreme fear of dentists from a very bad experience. But this facility changed all that. They booked an appointment the next day. Dr. Dano and his staff examined the problem, told me up front the cost, as my plan was out of network but I need immediate attention, they gave me a discount so I had it taken care of. Dr. Dano make certain I did not experience any pain. Once done, he explained what I needed to do for myself to make sure the pain was minimum and I followed up with him 2 days later. My open enrollment changes in October and I definitely will be going back to Crossroads as my dentist for future follow ups. This is a caring place for sure and I definitely would recommend them to anyone.

Dr Lanier is the worst. She is very cold and her seat side manner is abysmal. The hygienists however are awesome thats what keep me coming until Dr. Laniers handiwork nearly killed me. And no thats not an exaggeration. Its been a couple of years and Im still recovering. She gave me a root canal and a temporary crown. It took sometime for the permanent one to come in, during that time my temp fell off a couple of times. Each time I was told to just use the adhesive she provided to stick it back on, finally it wouldnt go back on. 2.5 weeks later the permanent came in. When I came in I told her the tooth felt funny, she put the crown on with temporary adhesive. After a week I said it didnt feel right she had me come in shaved it down a bit and put it in permanently. A few days later I told her it hurt was red and had a little bubble near it, she brushed me off told me I had to get used to it gave it more time. A few more days I just come as I was going on vacay and didnt want to take the pain with me. She looked at said it was fine just needed more time for adjusting. 3 days later during my vacay my face swole to the point my eyes were nearly closed ,103 fever had an abscess rupture in my mouth and had to have an emergency extraction and IV antibiotics. I also ended up having to extract the tooth in front and in back of the tooth soon after. See she never re xrayed the tooth and put a crown on infected tooth. When I asked her about replacing the teeth with implants she told me she has someone that will work with you No the correct response I said is whod work with you. I shouldnt pay to fix something that wouldnt be necessary if you did the job I paid you for. Never before was I afraid of the dentist. Im slowly getting past my fear as Ive found a wonderful new dentist however Im still afraid of major work. RUN RUN RUN!!! That was my personal experience, my father didnt listen until he too had an issue with a crown she did. I know of others too. Huge words of caution dont let Dr Lanier anywhere near your mouth!

I came in for a routine cleaning on 2/18/20 and my hygienist Kelly was awesome! This was my first experience with her and she is very personable and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Lanier also made my exam enjoyable. This was my 3rd or 4th visit and this has been by far the best. The attitude and professionalism of the staff at Crossroads Dental is exceptional!

The assistants were friendly, very complimentary, discussed procedure, and explained payment. Secondly, the little dental hygienist was very friendly explained what she was going to do as far as cleaning my teeth. Dr. Angela came in looked in my mouth and gave me the chance to address any issues I might be experiencing . She was also very friendly and complimentary . I have been a patient at this practice for many years and find the doctor and her staff very professional .

I was just in for a routine cleaning and the last time I was in the staff was really great, friendly and inviting. However the receptionist didn’t even look up from the computer or welcome myself or anyone else upon arrival. After I was told I had a small balance that wasn’t covered by insurance. However my insurance sent me confirmation that everything was paid in full! So, not to make a scene, I paid with cash and the receptionist said she wasn’t able to provide change as they we still trying to locate the drawer!- This struck me as very unprofessional. Not to detract from the fact- My hygienist was great! The dentist was very friendly, currently a stand in, but he’s great! The receptionist- is the reason this wasn’t 5 stars!!

One star is the lowest I could give but I would without a doubt give less I could! I have been going to this place for years only because I hadnt taken the time to find a new dentist and the hygienist was friendly. Dr. Lanier is very rude and seems to have a chip on her shoulders all the time! My last visit was the final straw! I will not be belittled or talked down to by her or anyone else! It was my first experience at this office and I hope it was a fluke! Im a new patient and I was there for a comprehensive exam, so I showed up 15 minutes early as instructed and waited at least 40 minutes before getting X-rays. Then went back to the waiting room and waited another 20 minutes before being seen! I dont know if this was over booking but it shouldnt happen! The people were very friendly which is why I gave them a 3!

I had been a patient of Dr. Georgia Holton until she retired. Since she left and the experienced dental hygienist this dental practice has not been the same. There has been a revolving door of dentist since she left. One of the dentist that was brought in was having patients do unnecessary dental work just to pad the money. Today, April 4, I had an appointment scheduled at 4 p.m. due to the hours that I work. I received a message saying they had moved my appointment to 3 p.m. not knowing if I could make it or not. As of today, I am changing to a dental office that cares about their patients. Not some cooperate owned practice where there is no consistency.

I had an appointment on February 18, 2019. I was a new patient, so I had to fill out the necessary paperwork for new patients, which I expected. I was taken back into the examination area & had X-rays. Was told that I need to have an extraction but, due to me having Medicaid I could not be treated that day b/c they have to get authorization from the insurance company. Lets just say Crossroads Dentistry doesnt care about Medicaid recipients! My insurance company NEVER received a request from Crossroads Dentistry office, after being told by someone they didnt hear anything back. How can you hear something when you didnt submit a request to begin with. Needless to say, Im still suffering with the pain I was experiencing & have to start this process with another dentist.

The entire staff; the doctor, his assistant and the office admin were extremely helpful and kind although I was completely unprepared for my visit to have a tooth extracted. They remained patient and helpful and got me in and out of there in an hour despite the fact that I had no idea to my insurance carrier was.

. As a new patient, picking a ideal dentistry can be challenging. Its located in a convient location, very nice reception, clean and professional exam rooms and the staff seems exceptional! I called with a dental emergency and I was able to get an appointment fairly quickly. They are very warm and open. I would definitely recommend!

I gave them two stars because the staff is honestly very nice, but I was overall very dissatisfied with our care there. I had a dental assistant numb my mouth without asking me, I understand she was trying to do a nice thing, but it was NOT what I wanted and it made my situation worse. I dont think a person should ever give someone any type of medicine (even a pain reliever) without asking first unless its a true medical emergency. We have made appointments and had to wait 45 minutes past our appointment time just to get called to a room. My husband had a temporary crown put on and told the dentist that he didnt feel like it was secure. He was told it was fine but later on in the day it broke. It didnt even make it a whole day. He had to take time off of work (a precious commodity for us) to go get it fixed. It was very frustrating considering he had told them he didnt think it was right. It broke once more before he got his permanent crown too. That is just the highlights among why we wont be returning.

Today was my 2 year olds first teeth cleaning. Tiffany was AMAZING!! I cant say enough about how welcoming and fun the staff was. Tiffany was not only energetic and fun but she let my daughter try all the tools even the water gun and help her brush and suction.

My visit was terrific, very professional staff and technicians. Was in and out in getting my 6 months cleaning, and was given great advice in properly maintaining healthy teeth.

Love the hygienist. She always does a great job. She is friendly and professional. She is the only reason I continue to come back to the practice. With that being said, they as always tend to run behind. I have waited more than 20 minutes for my last two appointments which shows a total lack of consideration for the value of MY time. If I showed up 20 minutes late for the appointment, they would want me to reschedule and they would charge me a fee. One other thing worth mentioning, allergy sufferers beware, they have an automated air freshener in the waiting room that will give you a raging headache, a stuffed up nose and cause your eyes to burn and water profusely. Other than that, enjoy your visit!

Very dissatisfied with cross roads dental!! They will keep trying to upsale everything. The dentist has a bad attitude. Then to top off the terrible experience. After I thought Ive paid for everything done in full. I get a new bill from them for over $600. Now Im pissed!! I would suggest trying a different dentist. Oh if you have anxiety most dentist use nitrous oxide. Well they dont. Just so you know.

Dr. Lanier and April, are phenomenal. My smile and the health of my teeth are extremely important to me, and their attentiveness to both is impeccable. I regard them as family and highly recommend them to everyone.

The staff is very pleasant and efficient. Dr. Lanier is a great dentist. Linda is also very knowledgeable and they both are willing to go the extra mile to accomplish what is needed for the patient.

I was referred to Crosswords Dental by a client. I had a root canal done by a previous dentist and wanted a second opinion. I saw Dr. Angela Lanier at Crossroads Dental. She was kind and made me feel like I’ve been a patient for years.She is was invested on getting my root canal done properly! She even called over to the specialist to get me a appointment ASAP! The receptionist, assistants and Dr.Lanier all were excellent!

I called and made a appointment because of tooth pain. I received an appointment for two weeks. I waited dealing with pain only for them to cancel my appointment the day before. I would have been a new patient but i would pull out my own tooth with a set of pliers before i would call them back.dont waste your time people. I now see their reviews and wished i would have read them beforehand.

Dr. Lanier and her staff were very courteous, friendly, and professional. My permanent crown came off. I called on Monday and was seen Tuesday morning. Thank you all for providing such great service. 😊

Had customer service issues with one person and we received an apology. I have not had any issues with dentists or other employees prior to incident.

I hadn’t been in a while, was a little late but they were accommodating, professional and pleasant. And no cavities! I’ll be back and more regularly.

Dr. Angela walked up to the chair I sat in and immediately started cursing. Who does she think she is? She was talking about her partner WHILE IN MY MOUTH. She never even said, HELLO.Then the ladies openly flirted with my husband after I scheduled an appointment with the other Dentist who was VERY PROFESSIONAL. I stopped going to the PROFESSIONAL DOCTOR because, of the ladies behavior, which I assume was because I went to the competition. And after being so rude and disrespectful, you all still havent taken my name off your list. Stop messaging me! I bet you will take it off now.

Amazing staff and even though I was a nervous wreck,they made me feel totally comfortable! A young woman named April was my hygienist I didnt feel a thing! Cant wait for my next visit ! I highly recommend this place if youre looking!

I really dont like going to the dentist but who does? The experience I have at Crossroads Dental with Dr. Angela Lanier and her staff makes me rethink it every time. It is an exceptional experience. The comfort that is given from warm blankets to even a mini nap creates an ease in my visits every time.
