I would give 0 if I could. Even as an established patient, it takes months to get an appointment. If you happen to get Covid and need to reschedule, you will need to wait another 9 months to get an appointment. Not to mention the staff talks to parents as if they’re the children. It always feels like NO ONE, even the actual doctors, wants to be there. We’ve been rescheduled constantly over two years (not even patients fault) only to get a call today saying the doctor was sick. Maybe get more doctors on staff so that patients that have waited this long don’t get thrown under the bus. ESPECIALLY ones that have to travel in.

Yes, waiting time may be an issue. But if your kids eyes are more important than your damned busy day schedule, take your time and go for Dr. Brown. I visited several other well-established neat-looking prompt-serving eye-care facilities. None of them could detect farsightedness in my 10-year-old daughter. It took Dr. Brown five minutes to figure that out and take care of it.

First off - Dr. Brown is a wonderful doctor! However, the practice as a whole obviously lacks respect for their patients time. Making a parent wait for over 2 hours with a 2 year old in a crowded secondary waiting room (theatre room) is absolutely ridiculous when you arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. I can understand having to wait if we were late or were being worked in, but we arrived on time with paperwork already completed and still had to wait that long. Not acceptable. If this is the norm, the office staff should tell the parents to expect these wait times when they schedule the appointment.

The staff is nice and knowledgeable. But we always wait at least an hour! That is too long for children which is who they see.

Gave me the run round just to make my daughter appointment. Staff is kinda rude also . Left a message last week no one never called me back .

Dr. Brown is Amazing!!!!! She answered all of my questions. Her staff was wonderful as well! The wait is a little long, but what do you expect?? Its not a drive through folks. I would totally refer her to ANYONE looking for a Pediatric eye specialist! They treat you with the up most respect and care. Thanks again, Dr. Brown!!!!!

Great doctors, but prepared to wait and wait and wait. You wait in the waiting room, the exam room, other waiting rooms. Plus there are no bathrooms inside the doctors office, you have to go outside into main building. Good luck waiting for two hours with your toddlers....and then waiting more bc you lose your spot in you line whengo out to the bathroom.

Dr. Rachel Brown is a true gift from God. She detected what she believed to be Retinoblastoma, a very rare malignant cancer of the retina, in our 11mo old and inmediately referred us to Vanderbilt where she is currently undergoing chemotherapy. We can’t thank her enough for catching this and referring us to one of the best doctors and practices treating her type of cancer. Thank you, thank you!
