I arrived for my 9 am initial appointment at about 8:55 am. I checked-in and was told that my counselor had not arrived yet, which was fine because I know that East Brainerd Rd traffic can be very unpredictable. I sat in the waiting area until 9:30. I then approached the reception desk and waited for a few minutes, but no one was there. I ended up just walking out. I dont think that this was the counselors fault. I believe that nobody told her that she had a 9 am appointment. This business really needs to find a better scheduling system. Seeking counseling is already a vulnerable endeavor and experiences like this are very discouraging.

Not professional . Assigned appointments for us to come then ended up retiring with no notification. Also brought my son at one point and the social skills and demeanor of the counselor needed much improvement.

I had an appointment for 8/19. I showed up 15 minutes before my appointment. I followed instructions and texted the number to notify them of my arrival. They responded and said that they would let her know I was coming. I waited 30 minutes. I texted the number and told them I had been waiting for thirty minutes and needed to know what the hold up was. 10 minutes later they replied she doesn’t have you on her schedule. Why did it take me initiating the text? If it was some misinformation regarding my appointment why hadn’t anyone called me or contacted me or communicated with me. This is poor communication from a place that supposedly supports you and aids in communication. I will NOT be returning. I do not feel like they care and I am not willing to share myself with someone who can’t communicate or even call you. Please do not visit this place. They don’t care about your time or even have enough courtesy to call to see what happened.

Center for a Brighter Tomorrow has a vast selection of therapists, all different to suit different needs. If your first one isnt a fit for you, dont give up. I didnt, and I am so happy. Theyre all professional, all amazingly nice, and I cant fathom going anywhere else.

Love the intimate vibe. So comfortable, laid back and no pressure. Highly recommend.
