This review is about two years late, but I don’t forget. I’d been going to Dove Valley Vision since they were located at smoky hill and orchard, going on almost 20 years. The last time I went there was a $10 copay that they didn’t ask for upon leaving my appointment. Come to find out months after the appointment, Dove Valley sent my $10 copay to COLLECTIONS. After 20 years of vision appointments and thousands and thousands of dollars spent with them, I was less than thrilled to find out they were willing to send a patient to collections over a $10 bill. Absolutely ridiculous and I’ll be visiting a new eye doctor as a result.

I was initially recommended to Dove Valley by a co-worker. Ive been going here for a few years and have never been disappointed. Very friendly staff and easy to work with. They take the time to listen, answer questions, and walk through my benefits. I live a significant time distance from the location but worth my drive.

Dr Reilly was extremely helpful. They squeezed me in at year end so I wouldn’t lose my 2020 benefits. Although they were extremely busy, Dr Reilly took her time w me to get the right contact fit. Staff is super helpful and nice as well!

Dr. Riley is amazing! She is so attentive and helpful. Recently my prescription significantly changed after having just been seen in May. She had me come in no questions asked and got everything changed to the new prescription. Her staff is helpful, kind and efficient. Would highly recommend Dove Valley Vision!

Dr. Kleim is hands-down the best optometrist Ive seen. Professional, courteous, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. If youre looking for an optometrist, his practice is the place to go. I could not recommend him enough.

Dr Klein is very professional and extremely thorough always willing to explain everything in understandable terms.

Very professional, clean and smooth experience. I liked that the Dr. explained the images of my eye which nobody has done for me before. There is also no attempt to up-sale. In fact, when I asked if I could buy an extra pair of contacts, the Dr. tried to find cheaper alternatives without prompting.

My first experience at Dove Valley was excellent! The support staff is very friendly, and are taking proper precautions during Covid to make sure everyone stays safe and healthy. Dr. Kleim was extremely thorough, and patient with me to make sure I was actually getting the right prescription. He did testing that I’ve never had done before, and fully explained to me my different options for contacts and other eye issues I’ve been having. I didn’t feel rushed or as though my questions were a burden. Will definitely be coming back!

Both Doctors Riley and Kleim are wonderful, detail oriented, and up to date on the latest advancements in optometry.

Dr. David Kleim is very experienced and his treatment is very professional. This is my second visit and likes the way he test. I would recommend this doctor for routine check up or even any specific issues.

Marcie and Dr Riley did an outstanding job of helping me get some contact lenses trials even though I was a new/non existing patient. They took the time to listen and understand my situation and helped with a smile on their faces. As a result, Dr Riley is now my primary optical doc and I look forward to coming here from now on.

Dr. Riley (co-owner of the practice and one of the 2 optometrists in the practice) was filling in on the picking out frames side while I was there, and shes AMAZING. She took the time to punch the numbers several different ways to utilize my insurance to the best possible advantage for picking out new lenses for my glasses and completely new prescription sun glasses. She kindly helped me pick out the best sunglasses to suit my face/skin tone, and was honest about the shapes that didnt work well for me (while being incredibly kind the entire time). The rest of the workers on staff that I encountered were also kind and professional, but Dr. Riley went above and beyond. Although I encountered her covering a role she doesnt normally fill, I can imagine that shes the same way in the exam room as well. I highly recommend this practice!

This place is great! The eye exam I received was excellent. Everyone took their time to make sure I received an accurate exam and understood the process since it was my first time at that office. The Optician Lance was great for helping me pick out a pair of glasses too, good experiences like this remind me why I keep coming back to eye care professionals even for things like frames over ordering online.

Unbelievably disappointed after making appointment and speaking with a coordinator, they refused to try to verify my insurance company even when I gave them a name of a specific person at the insurance company who I know is very helpful. No, its not a huge insurance company but it is sponsored through my employer and I provided all the contact information for them to verify just like I would with any doctor (with whom Ive never had an issue). I also found Dove Valley Vision Center on my insurance companys provider list of covered physicians. Very disappointed.

I just want to say that I have been their client for over 6 years now. This place is simply great, from the doctors, to the technician, to the receptionists, to Lance (the gentleman that does the fittings for your glasses). Everyone at Dove Valley Vision are so nice and willing to help you to make sure you are fully satisfied. They have great turn around time with glasses and contacts. My two daughters a and I have been with them for over 4 years. Now more of my family uses them.

I am always given a very thorough exam with an explanation of test results and options for my eye care. Dr. Riley is fantastic and offers great advice and tips for maintaining my optimal eye health and vision. She is also considerate of cost factors. All the staff is very courteous and efficient.

Dr Riley took extra time to discuss and attend to my special requirements. I had had LASIK that was unsuccessful and caused some unique issues. She spent almost 2 hours with me for a thorough examination, answering questions and choosing the right prescription for me. I’ve never had a more positive experience than the one I had with Dr Riley. She truly cares about her patients!

My husband had an appointment today at 10:15. He didn’t leave until 11:56. I understand that things come up in appointments but you have to realize that people make appointments based on their time as well and sitting in a doctors office longer than 45 minutes Before the exam starts is a little disappointing. We had an appointment to get our car fixed that we missed. Now it’s scheduled two weeks out. It would be different if this was the only time this happened but this is why we hadn’t been back for a couple years. If you didn’t carry the contacts my husband likes We wouldn’t have even came.

I love this place! The doctors are very knowledgable and explain everything in depth. The staff treats me like I am family and remember all the details I discussed with them in the past. This practice is just what I was looking for and more. They take care of my whole family and we wont be going anywhere else. I love that they are a small business striving to survive in this corporate controlled world. If you are looking for a great Optometrist that goes the extra mile then this is the place to go.

I tried Dove Valley Vision Center because they are a Zeiss lens partner. While I did not get the experience I was expecting as far as my eye exam is concerned (they did not use the zeiss lens specific exam tools) they were very thorough and I walked away with a very comfortable prescription and exactly the lenses I wanted. Lance was great to work with.

I work for an optometrist office and I understand the frustrations of working with people everyday. However my experience with this optical location was beyond anything I have ever dealt with. I called this office as a courtesy to a patient in respect to her past prescriptions. I spoke to an optician named Lance. I unfortunately needed to call the office twice within the day upon request from my boss to verify that the information I had received the first time was correct. I spoke with Lance the second time as well and I was completely appalled with the way I was spoken to that time around. For example here is something said to me: How do you not understand what I am telling you, you keep calling me and I have already told you. What dont you get about that? I mean i expect you to know what I am saying. Stop Calling our office. I was in disbelief, I stated Sir, I think you need to rethink the way you are speaking to me. His response was Well mam, I dont get what is so hard about this. When I asked to speak to a manager he stated he was the manager. I then stated If a patient were to call you twice in one day would you speak to them with such tendencies. You are being very rude to me? his response was, patients dont understand what I am talking about, you on the other are an optician; you arent stupid you should understand. (To be clear, I am not an optician; I am a technician for an optometrist) which i then explained to him and he replied with Now it makes sense, you just dont know what your talking about. I found it ridiculous that I was spoken down to, as though I was stupid by another optical department. I was doing my job as requested by both my doctor and My patient. If I could give them less than one star I would. You should highly reconsider your staffs communications skills and lack of respect for other business partners and I am assuming towards your patients as well. The lady who answers the phone is wonderful, kindhearted, and respectful. But I am unable to say that for the rest of your staff.

This practice is in decline and you should not subject yourself to this sad practice. They used to be good but not anymore. The front desk may as well be on another planet for all the billing mistakes and misunderstandings they generate. I bet theyll answer this review with their overused excuse that they never heard of me. Of course that may explain why after 18 years they always claim not to know me, and have lost my insurance information when I show up for appointments.

Probably the worst location Ive ever been to for an eye exam. The doctor was really nice, I saw Dr. Riley. But the support staff was certainly lacking. After having my eye exam, they told me theyd order my trial pair of contacts for me, and call me when theyre ready to pick up. They said it would take about 5-7 days.Well, more than that amount of time passed, about a week and a half, so I call to inquire as to why its taking so long. I spoke with Judy, and she was incredibly rude and condescending, and said when theyre ready to pick up, we will call you. She spoke to me as if speaking to a toddler, which I found thoroughly infuriating and unprofessional.It turns out, THEY NEVER EVEN ORDERED my trial pair, and were going to do so after I finally called.But Judy was so nasty and rude, I will never, ever go there again. If I have to deal with rude and incompetent support staff, you can certainly bet I will take my business elsewhere. Id avoid at all costs. They offer nothing any other optometrist cant offer you, and youll be treated horribly in the process.

I have been a patient here since they first opened in Aurora. Within the last 2 years the experience has been pretty bad. Appointments are never time, customer service has declined, prices have been increasing. I called to schedule an appointment and was put on hold, asked for my name multiple times, put on hold again, then was asked if I had ever been a patient before (I’ve been coming here for years), then put on hold, and then hung up on. Then received an appointment notification the morning of my “appointment”? Came to the appointment scheduled (that I didn’t schedule) early to get checked in since I knew I’d have to wait. Stood at the front door for 10mins before I was greeted even though 3 employees were talking at the front desk. Then, “ok. We are all set. What do you need?”.... uhhhhhhh really? Now I’m sitting in the waiting room.... after my scheduled appointment time. This happens every single time. Super frustrating. It’s been 30mins after my appointment and I’m still waiting.
