I love Bang Salon. You cannot go wrong with any of the stylists. I got a perm there back in November and it is still going strong! I also get my eyebrows and eye lashes tinted and I absolutely love how it makes me feel and look younger. I had been looking for a place for years now. Somewhere dependable and great value and I finally feel at home at Bang Salon. Give them a shot! You will not regret it. +++Big plus+++ They have online booking that doesn’t absolutely suck like other high priced salons I have been to.

Not very happy at all me and my daughter got a perm yesterday, Im posting my pictures on Facebook a lot of people told me that the Stylist should have known not perm bleach hair or He should have done a testran!! Im very upset after what Ive heard because I knew that it was destroyed destroyed when he was unraveling the curls.. But yet I paid for it, I guess A lesson learned.. Ive gone to them once before and hes done a very good job but the thing is I dont understand stand if youve done this before and you know what youre doing why would you continue to do it.. And why would you make somebody pay for it! I have learned my lesson thank you!! Hopefully you dont do this to anybody elses hair again Tommy And maybe you will do a test strand. So not very happy about it.

Tommy Song, the owner is amazing, talented and has years of experience that you can really tell through his work. He is professional, and his salon is very safe with covid precautions. He offers amazing services at affordable prices and really gives individual care and advice of what treatments would work best for your hair. I highly recommend him and his salon, I live in Austin and I will drive to the salon to make sure I get my hair done by him.

Tommy did Japanese Magic a week ago and I was really happy 😊. After the process is done , As I felt he missed a spot and went to show him. He did everything he can to make it perfect again.Highly recommend for everyone . Ashley did an incredible job giving her a beautiful cut and blowout for a reasonable price! The salon has a nice feel and I loved how easy the booking process was. Ive known about Bang Salon for a while and finally came in to give it a try. I was an instant convert. Tommy is just as adept with mens cuts as he is with womens. Ive been very pleased with the results. Easily one of the best cuts Ive ever had. Ive had at least 4 cuts here now and plan on staying. Tommy is the best, and very friendly and good at what he does.

This is a modern and hip place. Stylist know how to cut hair. For me, as a senior, I get a great discount along with a great haircut.Thanks Tommy.

I had my first appointment at Bang yesterday and was SO HAPPY!! I hadnt had my hair done in a while and was really looking forward to the opportunity to treat myself. Tommy was so great and really impressed me by taking the time to make sure we were on the same page any color and length and everything we were doing ahead of time. He then executed that plan perfectly. I have not returned to a salon regularly in the 8 years Ive lived in TX but Im already looking forward to my next appointment with Tommy at Bang!

Had my first visit to Bang today, and am so glad to have found a salon I love and trust since my last salon closed down during covid. I saw Tommy for Japanese straightening and a cut, and he is a miracle worker! My hair was frizzy and course, and after 1.5 years without a salon visit the curl was coming back. Now, its smooth, soft, shiny and under control. I will be seeing Tommy as long as I can, because I feel looked after and well taken care of.

I just did a permanent wave by Tony. In short, very satisfied! Ive gone so many high-end salons in many cities and had not satisfied with the quality and service at the same time. Now, I found a guy for entire of my life!! (Price is unbeatable if you really care about quality.)Even though my hair is very tricky to deal with because its thick and straight, he made me a good one. I want to say the best hair, ever!My wife is usually not satisfied when I do my hair but she loved it today. I think she will go to you to do her hair, soon. Thanks, Tony!

I have been coming here for 5 years and have always been very pleased with the service, however the salon was recently sold and the person that did my hair is no longer there. I made an appointment with Tommy the new owner for highlights and cut. It was awful! He didn’t listen to what I wanted. He said he was going to cut 2inches off my already short hair. I said no I just wanted my cut just “cleaned up” not shorter. He did it anyway. The color looked no different when I left than when I came in (still grey) . He then said it’s my hair that won’t take color! I have always colored my hair! This is the first time this has happened!Warning don’t bother with this salon it used to be great but with the new owners it’s gone downhill!

I came here from a recommendation from my cousins hair stylist and this salon is phenomenal. My stylist is Joanna and Im always 100% pleased with her work! It always looks amazing and it scores me so many compliments. If you have any doubt in your mind about coming here- dont! Its totally worth every penny.

Tommy did Japanese Magic today and I was really satisfied 😌 . He did everything he can to achieve the look I wanted long time ago since I move here in USA for a long time. My hair is alot better than before. Highly recommend for everyone . He explain every procedure that he was doing and take time to take really good care of you hair and suggest some treatments that help with your hair if its damage. I got the Japanese Magic straightener done by Tommy last week and I love it! I can’t believe how much I love my hair now, it’s straight, not frizzy at all and SO much easier to manage. I’m definitely coming back here to get this done again every time it grows out.

I love this salon I went there a few years ago for the first time and they corrected the color another salon left on my hair. I went in today for highlights and a cut and I love my hair! My stylist was named Tommy and he is also the new owner of the salon. He did my moms hair this weekend( cut and color )and it came out great so I made an appointment for myself as well. Go see him if youre looking for a stylist! Hes very nice and it takes time to explain everything, he is going to do and his recommendation.

Tommy applied the Japanese straightener to my hair and I can’t say enough good things about him! He explained the process to me in detail, took his time with me, and was really nice. My hair is so smooth/soft now and I love it!It happened to ice over this day and he even helped me get the ice off my car before I left. Super kind and highly recommend him!

I just called asking a simple question about lashes, the guy who answered had no clue what I was talking about, didnt help me at all, and asked me to call back in 15 to 20 minutes. Then told me they were fully booked....lol. Terrible customer service!! #RUDE

Went in to get full highlights and had to go back because they were done wrong & not up to the root. I spent over 7 hrs total in 2 appts. & it still isnt right. The stylist tried several times & it kept turning a different color. The owner wasnt very helpful at all. She offered no advice to her stylist except cut the hair off. I know it was a joke, but some good advice wouldve eased my mind and Im sure helped her stylist who seemed stressed. Staff as people are friendly, but hate to waste time and money like this place did.

I drive 2 hours every 6 months from San Antonio to do magic hair straightening with Tommy, its worth every minute! Never disappointed, he truly works his magic every time to tame my kinky curly hair. This time I tried a hair steaming treatment and was very pleased. Thanks tommy for making my hair healthy and happy.

Joanna was great from the get go. Asked me what I wanted, if I had photos and had her own recommendations. Just a simple wash, cut and style and she was perfect. Unfortunately the first time it was not done to my liking because the color was off. Therefore, I went back and Shaun was kind enough to adjust the colors and give me exactly what I wanted. My hairdresser that I have been going to for years has not come back to work as of yet. So I used a new girl at Bang, Joanna G and I am so pleased with my experience! I have had many compliments. If you ahv curly hair go see her! Young and fastidious! Not to mention Bang Salon is keeping their place extremely clean and being very proactive in protecting their clientele from COVID-19. I have been going here for almost 2 years now, and never had a problem! I used to live down the road, and thats how I found this salon and I moved downtown Austin a year later but I refuse to stop going to Bang. My husband and I both go for haircuts (I convinced him to try and he is now as addicted as me).Mel is my stylist and I even hired the team to come out for my wedding hair and make-up and they did AMAZING! Everyone loved their hair and they looked so natural and so beautiful. Bang salon is totally worth the drive, and the team is amazing. Even though Mel is who does me and my husbands chair, everyone knows me by name and they all make it feel like home!

I was very pleased with how they cared for everyone.

I have been here several times for a hair cut and love it! The owner is always present and cutting hair right along side her employees. She is helpful and always willing to answer her employees’ questions about styling, etc, all while working on a haircut herself. Everyone knows my name and they’re very welcoming. Salon is clean and well kept.

I love this place, new location is beautiful. Owner always wonderful and work amazing. I tried other salons when I moved not worth it. Money well spent every time. I always feel like a million bucks walking out and not because the stylists talk/hype up their work... Its because it really is great skill.

It is very rare for me to leave a bad review so I am sad to have to leave one today.I love the olaplex treatment and have had great results with it in the past. After I moved I looked for a salon in my area that offered the treatment and booked an appointment with Bang salon online. I think I was sent 4 emails and texts to confirm my appointment but it wasnt until I showed up that I was told that they only had the b3 treatment.It felt like a bait and switch. I mentioned that if we had this to do all over again it would have been nice to get an email so I could research the alternative treatment before my appointment, but the stylist looked pretty angry and told me it was the same thing. I didnt stay to argue with her. I decided to cancel my appointment instead.This is only my personal experience. You may like this salon. Just be aware that this salon does not offer olaplex treatment. They have another bonding treatment called b3 instead.

Of course, I always send them directly to BANG!In addition to cut and color, I also enjoy a facial now and then.I operate a photography studio and send my clients for pre-session makeovers there as well.I have used BANG since they opened and Shaune and her staff always do a great job.

I absolutely love this salon! The ladies, especially Shaune Haas, go above and beyond every time I go see them! I have gone to every extreme on color and cut and I am always treated with care and I have yet to complain about the results! I highly recommend them if you need a new hair lady or if you are picky about color and/or want to have the latest cut. I am a brunette that has gone blonde and back to brunette and my hair is still healthy and long! :)
