Dr. Blad is a good doctor but one of the receptionists is totally unprofessional. She kept cutting me off and not doing anything helpful. No where near the staff that Dr. Blad used to have.

Dr. Blad is fantastic! She was a pharmacist before she was a doctor so she really knows her medicines. She has been very helpful and kind to me

My former doctor left the IU Health Physicians practice, and I needed to be seen for severe pain in my arm. So I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Denise Blad. I had a wonderful first appointment with her and her nurse. I was not rushed, the doctor and nurse thoroughly listened to my concerns and asked me questions and gave a thorough physical exam before sending me down to x-rays and ordering PT. The front office staff and entire medical staff has always been friendly and helpful over the past 13 years I have been coming to this location at IU North Hospital. This visit was no different. No complaints. I was also very pleased with how cautious and thorough the hospital and this medical office is handling patients and visitors with the COVID19 pandemic. I plan to continue my care with Dr. Blad at the IU North location. I highly recommend this practice.

I cant believe all the negative reviews! I have been her patient for 10 years & she is great! My very first visit was for pain I had in my side for four days. She didnt hesitate & sent me for CT same day. I later that day had an emergency appendectomy. Now I only really go for yearly check ups or if something is wrong. She remembers who I am even though I am not there frequently. I was able to openly speak to her about my depression & changing meds. I never felt any judgment or hesitation. I never have any issue getting meds refilled & always get a response for any questions I have (I prefer email & she & her staff are very responsive). I am very active in my health & well being. I research things before I even go. It is difficult for her to treat patients that cant explain what is going on with them or doesnt give her the whole information. People should think about how tough her job is & have some empathy.

Apparently showing any stress or concern with having to wait 6 weeks for an appointment is too much for the scheduling desk. I was told repeatedly its not my problem youre schedule doesnt work. asked if there was a wait list to potentially move the appointment up and was told I could call in every morning or accept my appointment. It wasnt so much the message, but how irritated the scheduler was on the phone when I was obviously shocked. I really dont want to start over but her medical advice isnt really worth dealing with folks who cant empathize with customers.

I hate having this Dr. no bedside manner, and even though I have had to be on a narcotic med for NINE years and have declined every time she has tried to up my dosage, still treats me like a “drug shopper”. If she’d look- my 1 month script for 1 med lasts me 6 months because I only take it when I absolutely have to. She makes me feel like a druggie and I hate having to go into her office. Can’t wait to find a new doctor!

She didnt know the basics of my condition and then tried to prescribe for it. I honestly dont trust her decisions and it doesnt help that she does NOT listen to patients. I know its hard to find a general family doctor (I know because Ive been trying to find a new one from her) but you would be much better off with someone else.

Her lack of general medical knowledge could have cost me my life. If you have more than a sore throat I recommend someone with more knowledge for her field.

Dr. Blad saved my LIFE, only doctor who ran all necessary test. If not for Dr. Denise Blad i wouldnt be here today. I always recommend DR. BLAD when anyone asks for a GOOD Physician.

Halloween night - broke a tooth on candy —- wound up in the Er and they prescribed a 5mg pain medication. Dr. Blad said I broke my contract with her for meds and discontinued my pain meds cold turkey.

0 STARS!!! I deeply regret not knowing about these reviews before going to Dr. Blad because it would’ve saved me so much pain and stress. Every single bad review is 100% accurate. Dr. Blad does NOT care about your medical needs and she doesnt even try to pretend that she cares. She interrupts you, she makes excuses, she fails to ask questions or run tests, you will never get your prescriptions filled without multiple calls to her nurse, and the list could go on forever! The last straw for me was after I caught her in 2 blatant lies related to my test results. I finally walked out and found another doctor (which takes awhile so I went without my medications for about 3 months). On top of that, the women who work at the front desk are extremely rude.It’s disturbing and terrifying to me that IU Health employs such incompetent doctors!!

This is the most incompetent Dr and Doctors office we have ever had the misfortune of depending on for health care services. Examples include: Physical exams with only blood work and referral - no basic examination. Continuous problems with prescription refills. Frequent difficulties in scheduling. Doctor unavailable for a month when needed pre-op surgery exam. After cyst removal, assistant ripped out stitches, resulting in permanent scaring and very painful experience.
