The facility is very well organized with a number if interesting and intriguing design elements and specialty items. Check-in and check-out were quick and courteous. Jacob, my stylist, was engaging, very enjoyable and expert, as always. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Jacob is awesome... he listens to me and tries his best to give me the cut and style that I want. Hes professional, very attentive and quite personable. Im now scheduling 3 appointments out to be sure that I can get in to him when I need services. Wonderful experience, wonderful salon!

Brandyn is an artist and his medium is hair! He does not disappoint! I drive 2 hours since I moved for this talented stylist. I plan a day around my appointment. Call me crazy, but when you find THE stylist you sacrifice to keep him!

I really enjoyed my first experience at Salon 01! The staff was really helpful and friendly, and I am really pleased with my service. I was pleasantly surprised by their little boutique store inside the salon! Ill definitely keep that in mind for cute gifts for friends, retail therapy, etc. I will definitely be back!

My Stylist Shannon is friendly, talented and professional. I feel like Im being welcomed into her living room. The front desk staff is always so accommodating. I received a free umbrella today b/c it was raining outside and they were concerned the rain might spoil my hairdo. Who does that these days? Salon 01 does. Thats who!

Shelby has been cutting my hair for some time. She is meticulous about cutting my hair. She is always concerned about doing a great job and giving me what I want. She takes care to counsel me on the correct products to use on my hair, and has taught me ways of combing and styling my hair to keep it in the best condition possible. Because of her expertise, I believe my hair is in the best condition it has in years.

I had a great experience with this salon, start to finish. I really appreciate their online system and how seamlessly it coordinated my experience. The facility is gorgeous and spacious -- a big plus in Covid times. I felt very safe and welcomed. The staff were warm, kind and respectful. Pricing is more than fair, especially considering the amazing caliber of styling. Even the other customers were helpful (I was slightly lost about where to check in at first). The stylist who worked utter magic on my hair was Sandra. I will absolutely return.

I have been going to Angel at Salon 01 for almost 20 years! There is no one more knowledgeable about hair than Angel! And even after all these years she makes me feel appreciated as a client. Yes, they cost more than most, but its completely worth it in my book. They are better than New York or Chicago stylists, and Ive lived in both places. Highly recommended.

Melissa is a great colorist/stylist. My hair was fried from a previous colorist and had broken and thinned because of being over processed. (Its important that a colorist not continue to bleach strands where they have already been lightened.) I have been seeing Melissa for over a year and my hair has grown and gotten thicker again because she is very careful when she highlights it. She also counsels me and lets me know what is the appropriate level of highlight so that my hair stays healthy. I highly recommend her and Salon 01! I also see Alan for deep tissue massage and he is very professional and a great massage therapist!

I had a huge rats nest in my hair I couldn’t get out and Brandyn spent almost 45 minutes helping me get it out. He made making the big chop very easy for me, and it looks fabulous! He was kind, knowledgable, and took his time with me. I also have a balayage done by Melissa, who made my hair look wonderful. I’ve always had amazing service here. My mom and I have been coming here since 2011 and I will not trust anyone else with my hair needs.

I assume I just had an unfortunate experience, but I received what is probably the worst haircut of my adult life here last week. Not only did he cut my hair way, way too short, but what little hair remains is also uneven. On the left side my ear is 3/4 covered, while on the right the hair barely touches my ear. My hair is so short that theres nothing to weigh it down so it puffs up at the crown and makes my head look both enormous and strangely shaped, and the back pretty much looks like a boys haircut. I guess Ill be wearing a hat or a headband for most of the summer.

I lost all of my hair to chemo last summer. My hair is growing back nicely but is now curly when before it was stick straight. Megan was wonderful! She highlighted and cut my hair into a cute style! She also gave me tips and specific products to use to help manage this new hair texture and short ‘do. I can now ditch my hats! She is one in a million! 😊

Jessie; facial = amazing. Alan; massage = incredible. However, though both Jessie & Alam are hands down best in their fields, the wow ends here. I was not offered water after either back to treatments. So odd. Additionally, water wasnt accessible in the relaxation room. Disappointing, I would have brought my own water if I had known there would be a drought at the Salon. Lastly, I needed a restroom to freshen up before heading out. There are no sub par restroom accommodations at Salon 01. I utilized a unisex restroom with little to no space to reapply makeup & deodorant.

Super friendly and a great cut. I was expecting the $32 price but the fee was $47. The explanation was that some stylist are $32 and some are $47.

Just moved to town and was seeking a salon in the city center that was easy to bike to. I was very happy with how well everything went. My haircut was great, service at the desk was friendly, and the location is right on the Monon Trail. This will be my go-to place as long as we live here.My one request. Please upgrade the bike parking racks to the proper design that you find all over the Monon Boulevard. This will be more secure and accommodate different bike styles for all ages, abilities, and design.

Shelby took the time to view the photos of the hair styles I brought in and advised me which one would work best with my hair texture, etc. Loved the outcome!

Im so glad I decided to come check out Salon 01. I recently had a bad experience with a barber shop where I was rushed in and out of the chair for a hefty price. I did a home cut, that I wasnt satisfied with so after I let it grow out a bit I decided to head over to Salon 01.I wasnt able to make an appointment initially, which I believe is due to me being a new customer, now that I am in the system I should be able to book online in the future, however, be sure to check out the rewards system that Salon 01 offers, as a new client you have the potential to earn bonus points for scheduling future appointments in advance. You might think, why would I book future haircuts? After the quality of cut that I received from Mshinda I realized why it was important to get my appointments scheduled in advance. The facility has all different kinds of services from hair care to massage therapy.I was welcomed as soon as I walked in the door and Mshinda greeted me and welcomed me to the facility, after getting checked in for the appointment I was given a tour of the facility and the various services available. I didnt think of it as a sales pitch, I was actually interested in other services that I otherwise would not have known without asking, so thanks to Mshinda I was able to discover other areas of the facility that I was interested in. The hair cut experience was personal and respectful. After a clean and pristine cut, having your hair washed post haircut is always an enjoyable experience. I am also one that cringes at the thought of loose hairs all over my face, head, and neck from the minute I leave the chair until I get home to wash up.The whole experience was a delight and I genuinely appreciate all of Mshindas assistance, support, conversation, professionalism, courtesy, patience, and attentiveness. I had a color & cut last week which was fine, but I felt I needed a little more cut off on one side. Stephanie Allen was my stylist and she’s very pleasant and was happy to do an adjustment today. I appreciate them getting me in so quickly to correct my issue.

My hairstylist did a great job and was very social however, I was charged $52 for a haircut. After receiving the new client packet it stated a haircut and style from $32. I reviewed my receipt and was charged for extra finish time. I was told by the hairstylist she had extra time and wanted to curl my hair. Didn’t realize I would be charged for that. A little frustrated that she wasn’t up front about the cost and that there was a lack of communication. Not super impressed with it being my first visit.

The Salon 01 is great for the services they provide. Everyone is professional and the salon is clean. I have no complaints with the stylists. The only thing I consistently find frustrating is the front desk will NOT provide customer with the Venmo of the stylist. There are times when the stylist has stepped away and unavailable and they will not assist in helping the customer get a tip to the stylist. I find that very disappointing and unhelpful. I recommend a listing at the front desk of all Venmo’s for the stylists for reference when needed, especially since you cannot add on tip to your bill.
