The doctor I saw was kind and thorough. He took the time to expain my treatment options and allowed me time to ask questions. He also understood my need for treatment affordability without eye plan insurance. I left very pleased with the experience!

The eye exam was very detailed from the provider answered my questions and asked if I had any additional questions for him. The one concern that I have the pre-exam room is not customer friendly. The eye exam machine is to close to the wall for the technician to receive a proper reading from the customer.

Dr. Wong was fantastic! He took plenty of time to really figure out which contacts and prescription would work best for me. I had tried a different eye doctor for my last appointment, and it was a huge difference how much better this one was. From the receptionists, to assistants, to Dr. Wong, everyone at The Eye Center was exceptional!

Dr Ritter was very patient and helpful. The optician assistant was pleasant and has great bedside manner.

I recently had the pleasure of being seen at The Eye Center in Burlington and I couldn’t be happier. The doctor is outstanding and very attentive, which makes for a great doctor. The staff made sure I was in and out which I loved and the lovely lady Angel provided much needed information and was very friendly. I would highly recommend.

Eye exam is good, however the front desk communication was terrible. The first young lady told me no copay with my blue cross blue shield insurance and I also have EyeMed which is a 5 dollar copay. I told them a regular eye exam no 35 dollar image picture taking, so after my exam another young lady tells me I owe 40 dollars, I refused told her what the other lady told me so they went and got another lady. She tells me my copay is 5 dollars, I tell her my blue cross blue shield is 0 copay, well we gonna by your EyeMed insurance, I told her it wasn’t right, and she says well you don’t have to pay anything, you just won’t receive your prescription. I paid the 5 dollars for my prescription and they lost a patient,

Every time I leave a message, I do not receive a return call. My eye exam was great but my exam was over 2 months ago and I still have not received all of my contacts order. I was understanding when there was an abrupt management change but if I don’t go in there myself to check if my order is in, I doubt I will receive a call about it. I’m quite disappointed in the customer service side of my eye care.

They young lady that started my visit was really nice and had great personality! She did her job very well and was professional and very easy to get along with! I really like my doctor and Im glad I get to see him every time I come in. He does a good job and makes sure Im comfortable with my prescription before I leave.

The experience with the doctor was great!! She explained everything so I could understand it :) it took longer than expected but there were technical issues so that is understandable.

Always friendly check-in and help from the receptionists. The ophthalmologist is thorough, answers all questions, provides follow up.

They were professional and yet they made you feel comfortable in the process.

All too often when I go to get an eye exam, I feel like I’m an inconvenience and that I can’t fully explain what I need because the doctor is rushing me. That was definitely NOT the case here. I felt seen and heard, I was asked questions, I was able to just chat with the staff, even amidst COVID. I would highly recommend this great staff! Very professional, knowledgeable, and flexible. The office was also super easy to locate. Definitely will be returning as long as I live in the area!

Doctor and staff are very nice and friendly.However, they are very tricky about the charges.With insurance, my charge was going to be either $10 or $45, which is mentioned up front.$10 if I choose the dilation method.$45 if I choose fancy new computer method of taking picture of pupil.When I asked, which is better, I was told neither is better, but no side affects with the computer picture method. (some blurriness etc with the dilation). So I said, might as well do dilation method.I was told, they could help me decide when I go back with doctor.So after being placed on about 4-5 different machines for tests, pictures etc. and discussing my eye health with doctor, Im finished and owe $45.Was never given the option to dilate instead of picture.Had my daughter with me, so owed $90 total. She wasnt given the option either.I dont understand this method of being up front. I clearly preferred the dilation method since there were no benefits explained to me other than some minor side effects.Had I known which machine cost the extra $35, I would have spoke up, but Im only being told to go here, look there, etc.That was very disappointing in what could have been a very nice experience.

Even though Ive been there several times before, you must now fill out an online form prior to your appointment. You must attach photos of your insurance cards and drivers license. Not everyone has the ability to do that, but you cant submit the form without it. I canceled my appointment and went to an old fashion talk-to-a-person optometrist, where internet, mobile phone, email, text-messages, etc., are not required just to get your eyes examined.

Front staff was friendly ans welcoming, Dr. Waa very informative and helpful. I recommend this place.

I went to the Eye Center next to Lenscrafter in Burlington NC today. The staff was very attentive. The tech was very pleasant and knowledgeable.I was extremely impressed with the technology. It was first rate.Dr Ritter really impressed me! He is extremely knowledgeable, competent and took his time with me. I was very impressed with how patient he was with me.I have been wearing glasses since I was 13 years old and I am older than dirt now. I have never been as impressed by any eye care professional!I can see myself going to Dr Ritter for the rest of my life! I would give Dr Ritter 100 stars, buy Google will only let me give him 5 stars!

I was skeptical coming in here as I had read several scathing reviews. I was pleasantly surprised that there was NOTHING to be worried about! Everyone was extremely helpful and nice. If I had questions they were answered in a calm, professional manner. I will be returning here and recommending it.

My exam by Dr. Ritter was impressive. He explained the examination to me in layman’s terms and the function of the equipment used to exam my eyes. I’m very pleased with the glasses prescribed for me because I read a lot. Dr. Ritter was quite thorough, so I had no questions, which is unusual for me...thanks Dr. Ritter.

I had a really bad experience at The Eye Center today. Every other experience has been great. The staff is nice and knowledgeable. I had a contact lens fitting last week with Dr Ritter and he sent me home with two trial packs of contacts and he was ordering a different kind that would be there in a week. I made an appointment for today. As soon as I was back in the exam room, the staff didn’t understand what I was there for. I explained that Dr Ritter ordered a new set of contacts for me and I had an appointment to get them.Dr B was my provider today and she was more than rude as soon as we started talking. She said I should have brought both types of contacts and that I had messed up and they didn’t know what to do and she was implying that it was my fault. I felt patronized the whole time and I was given no instructions to bring those trial pair to this appointment, since I had already used them all. I will be looking for a new provider at another location after this awful experience.

I love Lens Crafters. I always leave feeling that I just had the best eye exam of my life. I did not feel rushed in the exam and every test and result was thoroughly explained. They have a very kind and friendly staff, too.

I came here and purchased my glasses about 5 months ago after getting my annual eye exam next door. I was helped by multiple people, I wish I could name all of you but everyone was very helpful.Today I stopped in because my glasses were annoyingly sliding down repeatedly for the past month and were slightly bent. As soon as I walked in I was quickly assisted by Keith from the lab who adjusted them in less than 10 minutes! I was in and out after getting off work. Thanks Keith!

They assisted with a new prescription and offered a price match and made me aware of an upcoming black Friday discount. They offered to make an appointment for me to see and test the replacements. Excellent experience, from beginning to end. Everything was explained in detail. The doctor & his assistant were both extremely professional, I didnt feel like a number I felt like a well respected patient. I will definitely return for all my eye care needs.
