The entire staff was incredible with the exception of the blonde woman in her 50’s. She’s the one who did my pre-exam before seeing the doctor and I have never been treated with such disrespect in a doctors office before. It was unbelievable. I came into the location because the one closer to me didn’t have a doctor and I needed to switch my contacts to daily’s. She questioned me why I was there. I tried explaining to her the recent eye issues I have had and she interrupted me. At one point as she had me reading the letters I could see I said, “I know that’s a D but I can’t see it”… and she said “if you know it’s a D then you can see it.” The reason I knew it was a D, if she had listened to my medical history, I had been to the other office 15 times doing the same thing and I could tell by the shape. She proceeded to not speak to me. When bringing me into the room she just pointed but not saying a word. When I said thank you she responded “mhm”. I even heard her ask the front desk “are we sure she even has a contacts RX?”. It was an awful experience because someone felt it was their place to be judgmental and condescending

I’ve been going to this location to get my eyes checked and my contacts and glasses ever since we moved to Nashville in 2005. The majority of that time I’ve seen Dr. Hohn. The staff has come and gone over the years. Some years they’re better than others, but they do always seem to strive to do their best. Dr. Hohn is always very personable, thorough and willing to answer any questions or concerns. I didn’t go in during 2020 but I had to go in this year. I was very pleased with the safety measures they took and this year the staff was fantastic. Super friendly and helpful. And their remodel is sharp and the flow of the shop and exam area is a lot better.

Great experience with Dr. Bob Hahn (I believe thats his name, someone can correct me if im wrong.) Regardless, he prescribed me with the perfect pair of glasses on the first try. The last optometrist I went to in the area tried two different prescriptions that just didnt seem right, and was obvious they were trying to over correct the problem, as well as it taking weeks to get the glasses to come in each time. I ended up asking for my money back and then came to vision works to try somewhere new. 100% better experience at vision works in Brentwood (Moores Ln) than where i had previously gone. The doctor was great, the staff are great in helping with the process of picking out frames/lenses, and they have the glasses done im store and ready as soon as the next day. Would recommend 10/10 times to anyone in the area.

Best VisionWorks that I have ever been to in Davidson County. My daughter and I were immediately greeted and informed of the Covid procedures. Staff was exceptional, friendly, and professional at all times. If you do not like doing the eye pressure test, this is the place to go- their machine is so gentle. I have very dry eyes and they were very responsive to my condition and how to treat. Definitely will be going back in the future.

I’ve had terrible service with this company. My first set of glasses which took over 2 weeks, had the wrong prescription due to my exam being done improperly. I’ve waited for another 3 weeks for my new set of lenses. I called the company and they’ve had my lenses sitting in the drawer. No one called to advise me that they were in. So far my glasses ordeal which started back in early December is still ongoing. Don’t waist your time or money.

My dad and I came into the Moore’s Lane Visionworks today to purchase new lenses (mine were broken). Brandon A. immediately was there to help us as we walked through the door! Great customer service and extremely nice guy. We were in and out in less than 10 minutes left with a cute new pair of glasses. I will be returning to this location because of Brandon’s attentiveness and knowledge of all brands of glasses! Give this man a raise!!!

If your insurance lets you choose, dont go here.Summary: bad service, good optometrist, messy store, unprofessional employees. Literally had a better experience at Walmart.The customer service is shoddy at best. The appointment times are mere suggestions, and their handling of the virus and sanitation leaves a lot to be desired. The store was packed, plenty of people had no masks (which is hard to pin on the store/employees, I know), and the lady taking temperatures as people walked in the door would simply wander off and let droves of people in (including me; my temperature was never taken or asked if it had been taken despite me interacting with a half-dozen people).In addition, while the doctor himself was great, the staff responsible for the quick vision screening was dismissive and unprofessional. After being left to sit on the exam chair as the assistant walked away, I could still hear the employees talking about how they needed to quickly usher me to an exam room so someone else could use the screening area. Classy. The store could use a thorough vacuuming as well.I dont often write reviews, and have never before written a negative one, but this place deserves it.

Great staff. Nice and pleasant from the front desk to check out. The optometrist saw my whole family and answered all my son’s questions. Waiting room Covid 19 appropriate. Please wear a mask to protect yourself as others potentially protect you when they wear their mask and practice social distancing.

Doctor with long hair came in and said the guy tomorrow can do it. Meanwhile, I was told before I came that the doctor they had today could do it. So, he told the assistant/scheduler I was going to come back tomorrow but didnt tell her it was his decision. ..not mine.. It was odd. It makes me feel as though he was just not being troubled with the splinter in my eye. Too much work today. I hope my medical records are correct.UPDATE: I went back today and the older doctor took a look. He told me I did a good job of removing the splinter myself and said he wasnt sure why the other guy didnt do it. Then he referred me to a different place which isnt open until Monday. He said I have a rust spot. I believe it is from blood...like a tiny scab around a hole literally in my eye. I guess the eye heals really quickly because they didnt send me to the ER. They charged me nothing but wrote me a script for an antibiotic after I made the suggestion. Im not a doctor, but a piece of wood just came out of my eye and although I sterilized the tweezers, there is still a chance of infection. The doc told me that they will buff out the rust spot because it could cause scarring and affect my vision. I am wondering if I should have asked more questions because I have a hole in the top few layers of my epidermal cells.Update 2: This is the Vision Works on Moores Lane. The address is associated with this review so in response to the store telling me to email customer service and tell them which store, you know which store to look into as its documented via this review and your CRM should have me listed, not to mention medical documents (assuming they exist) Google conveniently tracks this for you and I made sure to leave the review on the appropriate store site. Do you even have proper medical records at this point? Is that why they couldnt find my paperwork on day 2? Are you charging me nothing so there is no paper trail. Something seems amiss.Update 3: Their available customer service is a robot. Replying to emails, text or even chatting to cancel appointments is not an available function. It seems their systems do not talk to one another. You can not call, as they either do not answer and/or their answering machine does not exist. There is no option to leave a message. My eye was taken care of by a completely different location. I will not be using VisionWorks moving forward based on several things relating to proper healthcare and customer service.

I came in early for my appointment and was not seen for my appointment until an hour after it was scheduled. People who came in after me were seen before me. By the time my appointment was finished, and I was trying to decide between frames that I had selected before the appointment, the staff acted like they were rushing to get out of the building, even though it was half an hour before close. I was told not to feel like I had to rush by one staff member but honestly as her co-worker was acting like she felt sorry for her having to stay, it didnt seem genuine. I was probably already put off honestly by their history of bad reviews and didnt want a rushed agent talking me through the process of buying new glasses. Also, they werent doing anything to wipe down frames between customers, which is gross. It was treated like a bizarre request to have something to wipe down the trial frames with. They were wiping all of the eye exam equipment down, I dont see how thats different... The staff were all polite. No one was directly rude in any way, but theres a difference between southern polite, which is an expectation for everyone and actually being helpful or kind.

I’ve been getting eye exams here since 2015 with Dr. Hohn and staff. My experience has always been positive: great customer experience, friendly and informative staff, great doctor. I never had anything wrong with my prescriptions done here. The space was renovated recently - looks and feels good.

2/25/2020The doctors are fine, but the staff, with the exception of an older gentlemen, are not friendly or helpful. Contacts ordered 1/20/2020–no contacts yet. They are saying it’s the manufacturer, and will not call the manufacturer to see what the problem is. There is no ETA, no other notes. So we are in limbo. This is the second year this has happened. The first time we thought it was a glitch. Apparently not. First time shame on you...second time.... We won’t be returning.

I met with Doug today to order and replace a pair of glasses I had purchased at the Cool Springs Mall store. Doug spent almost an hour with me discussing my goals and needs, how I use my glasses, and explaining how they could help me. We finished with this new pair, then Doug walked me through how they could correct a minor issue with the computer glasses I had purchased at the Cool Springs Mall store. He is having this pair remade as well, all at no additional cost for either pair. I highly recommend Dougs location and appreciate that Visionworks stood behind their 30 Day Guarantee, and were eager to make things right for me.

Offering one star is still being generous! Most frustrating experience with customer service! They apparently do not communicate with one another. Ordered extra contacts on 9-24-19 by phone and specifically asked that they be mailed to my home. “No problem ma’am,” is what I was told. Had to call 10-9-19 to ask where they might be to find out they were in the store. Asked again...please mail them to me. “No problem ma’am we will put them in the mail today. Sorry for the inconvenience” I was told. Today 10-19-19 called to see why I had not received my order yet. Told they had just arrived IN THE STORE TODAY. WTH!!!! I thought they were in the mail 10 DAYS AGO! Come on people do you even know what MAIL MEANS!! Good grief! I may not have my contacts but I can sure SEE your customer service is AWFUL!!!

When I went to pick up my glasses, I first put them on and they were far too wide for my face. The employee waved them in front of a heat fan for maybe 10 seconds then proceeded to bend them to the point they snapped. She then got the display pair and proceeded to jam my lenses into the pair hundreds of people have tried on before me. She was unable to fit the lenses so she called over another worker (Karen) who spent an additional 20 minutes trying to force my lenses into these glasses. I was told to return tomorrow or the next day to pick them back up. There is no way they are ordering a new pair in that time so I guess they expect me to pay a lot of money for display glasses that have been put through the ringer to make lenses fit. Karen was so rude when I suggested ordering a new pair as I did not want the display pair and the lenses clearly were not going to fit. I won’t ever be going back to vision works and I suggest you don’t either.

Bad Customer Service. I had called to get my current prescription but they would not provide it to me over the phone and that I would have to pick it up in-store. I had told them I would not be able to leave the house with the current pandemic COVID-19 going on and they just hung up. I have called several other different Visionworks throughout the area and they were all able to provide my prescription over the phone or by mail.

Tried to upsell me for an additional $100+ before I had to have them itemize every single thing they added to my frames and glasses without me asking for it. They reluctantly removed the extra costs.The final receipt did not show each item add-on either, which was very sketchy. Just one total price. The person before me who they were helping was not very tech savvy and paid almost 3x as much as I did.

Really positive experience here. They are close to work, got me in the next day using a convenient online appointment maker, I was informed of the Frames sales and they worked with me to get a primary frame/lens set with upgrades and the secondary standard. The latter was available first business day of the following week and the upgraded pair was a few days later. Polite employees, a friendly doctor, and quality products. Im not sure why the other reviews are so negative, definitely go here.

I went here yesterday afternoon. the staff was SOOOON friendly and kind, very open about what they were doing.I didnt know my insurance had lapsed, so it was kinda scary. They told me the prices and the sale going on, so I got two pairs of glasses for the price of one.They were knowledgeable and I had the manager help me check out, and he had some good jokes and seemed fond of his employees. All in all, this place is full of kind people who will get you the best you can within what they can do!

My husband and I bought our glasses together. The workers are very courteous and informative. They get you in and get you out. They have a wonderful selection of frames. They take most insurance and the price was just right for us. My husband was using a previous eye doctor before going to Visionworks. At the other doctors office they couldnt seem to get the right lens, they had to order the lens 4 different times. We finally decided to try someone new, so we called up Visionworks in Brentwood. My husbands appointment was months ago, and he has had no problems with his glasses. We are very satisfied, and we plan to continue doing business with Visionworks in Brentwood.

Went in a few weeks ago and purchased 2 pair of glasses, each different from the other. Found that one pair didnt have a feature I assumed would be there. I asked Doug, the manager, that given that I wasnt informed that the feature would be missing, could they accommodate me in some fashion. He looked up my record and offered the rather expensive upgrade at no additional cost. This is service beyond the call of duty as I was willing to pay some of the difference. Ive been to this location twice and had great experiences on both occasions. Today I went in for glasses and was assisted by Andre and Jim. Andre gave me a great deal on my glasses, and Jim helped me pick out the perfect frame. He was very knowledgeable and patient, but not pushy. Both gentlemen were extremely professional and helpful. I would highly recommend doing business with them.

Ill pay someone else to get me the right lenses, I wont just keep throwing money at the people who cause problems. That must be a winning business model for them because we almost fell for it. Rushed process. Left unsure if Im nearsighted, farsighted, if Im at risk for anything, why I am beginning to see flashes of light, or why my vision appears to be deteriorating quickly. Im going to go to try an independent optometrist, but now I have to pay out pocket.

They give wonderful service and were willing to help with everything I needed help with. Visionworks is a great option for ppl who get eye care under TennCare. I did until I aged out this year. I got an eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses. They were slow at that time so I had as much time as I wanted to look at frames and they were very attentive. Then when I was ready, I checked out.

I have gone here for several years. I have always had pretty good service. The doctor and front office staff are always friendly and willing to help. At times there are long waits, but usually isnt too bad if you have an appointment. My largest concern is the cost. Even with insurance it seems like there are always additional costs that makes the bill larger than is expected.

Are they selling stuff? Sure, but they sold the right products to this customer & did not sell me more than I needed or wanted. Very happy with the final product.

The absolute worst. They got my prescription wrong and didn’t know how to help me with my contact problems. I asked about the contact solution and the difference between the two options, he said with an attitude “idk.” Don’t try to sell me product if you don’t know anything about it. Then he got mad at me when nothing worked for me. The doctor was angry that I waited so long to come back and fix it but when you work everyday it takes a while to make time. The front desk is absolutely clueless. If I’m the patient, I expect my concerns to be heard and helped and they refused to do anything to help me. Don’t go there.

I purchased a pair of glasses here. After a few weeks the lens started to crack in the corners. I came back to the store and they told me the lenses were not cut properly and replaced the lenses. A few weeks later the started to crack again. I went back to the store and I was told that it might be because I chose transition lenses with the type of frame. If it happened again that I might need to choose different frames and that maybe they were causing the cracking issue. I wore them and immediately they started to give me a headache. I went back to the store assuming the wrong prescription was used. The receptionist told me the prescription was correct and there was nothing they could do. I refused to take that for an answer so I went to the glasses technician. A sales associate politely asked if they could help, bent and adjusted the frames and it worked. No more headaches. But, needless to say the lenses started cracking again. I stopped wearing the glasses and was very frustrated that I had been to the store 7 times over a pair of glasses. I should have immediately contacted the store when I noticed the cracking. I finally contacted them today (months later)and they said that they told me last time I was there that they would not fix the glasses again. I was not told that. If I had known that I would have asked for different frames to avoid having to drop off frames and later pick them up for the fourth time. I have worn glasses for over 20 years. I have never had any of the multiple glasses I have worn in my lifetime crack. I do not recommend buying from this store at all. Total waste of money and 7 trips to the store.12-2-18 UpdateI contacted the email address that asked for more information. They NEVER responded to my email or made any attempts to contact me. They posted that for appearances only. I still have my $445.03 cracked lens eyeglasses.

No one knows what they are doing in this store. I told my Dr. that I use Acuvue and love them and they did not have any samples at the moment. When I called back after a week they still did not have samples for me to test out and said my prescription was finalized.I would suggest finding a different eye care center! The one in the Galleria mall was wonderful when I went there last year!

I went into the store about a week to have my prescription adjusted from another location and they told me they could not do that. No customers were in the store and all 4 staff members were sitting at the front counter. I went to the Antioch location and they called and got my records from the previous store and took care of me. Easy Peasy! Thanks Antioch! Moores Lane you suck!

This place is horrible. The staff have no idea what they are doing. Very unorganized. The staff doesn’t know anything about customer service. We had a appointment and waited forever and finally left. Not too mention the air conditioner apparently wasn’t working either.

First, I will note that I have gone here for the last many years.There are some very kind people that work here, but this particular Visionworks fundamentally doesn’t respect your time and your schedule. You can make an appointment, as I did, but they don’t seem to care about your time and how long you are waiting. They jam appointments on top of each other to the point you might be waiting well over an hour for your appointment (as I am now). They are booking online and on the phone, which leads to them double booking.I’m all about running a profitable business and balancing customers and manpower, but if you want to hurt a business, let your customers know that you don’t care about them as much as your bottom line. It’s a short lived strategy. To the owner or manger or the primary doctor: Sad that you don’t get it and leave your employees dealing with frustrated customers.

Worst experience ever! I I made the biggest mistake when I made an appointment at this location. My sons glasses were supposed to be ready in a week. They called me and let me know I couldnt pick the glasses up that Saturday because the technician was out, I went back the following week and someone told me the guy missed work again so I couldnt get the glasses either. I asked to speak with the manager who made me wait 30 min, completely avoiding me until I got really upset and interrupted him while helping another customer who got there after me. Horrible service! I will never go back. I will stick with the one in the mall, which I never had any problems with.

I went in today as a walk in, the lady who greeted me handed me the papers to fill out and said fill these out and bring them back as soon as possible. There was only one other person in the store asking questions. There was 3 employes behind the desk and 2 in the back. I laid my papers on the desk, because no one was up there when I finished (all of 5 minutes). The lady who looked at my papers just placed them UNDER the desk. At this point 3 other customers (walk ins) can in, and the was assisted before me. After 40 minuted of waiting I left. Been here to this location before, and i will not return.

Always an issue when we come in. They always have new staff and they act like they have no idea whats going on. Takes forever when you have an appointment. Be prepared to be there for at least 3 hours. Very slow. Poor customer service. Will not be going back at all. Have told everyone about the poor experiences -plural- cause weve tried more than once and it never gets better.

Not a place to get your glasses. They make you pay up front, they do not get the correct approval from your insurance company and even if you find glasses of sale. They will not give you the sale price. They will push you to buy more glasses that you do not need. I canceled my order and they still charge me....Do not go there.

The evening Dr and staff are clueless. Got the prescription wrong twice. Didnt call when contacts arrived (took 3 weeks each time). Then they couldnt find them when I came in to pick them up. GrrrrrI transferred everything to the VW in the Galaria Mall where they did a new exam and fitted me with contacts off the shelf. I got my contacts the same day. They told me they get lots of complaints about the Moores lane store.Advice: Skip the Moores Lane store and just go to the mall.
