Dr. Higson, the optometrist, was amazing. She took a detailed history. Did a thorough exam. Explained everything clearly. Two thumbs up--way up. The office staff was welcoming and very efficient.

Dr. Chase Parker is an amazing eye doctor. I have a tricky prescription and he has worked tirelessly to make sure I can see as close to 20/20 as possible. Highly recommend this provider.

Very unprofessional. The guy in the glasses part was very rude to me telling me where to stand. I was brought back into the optometrist waiting area maybe 10 minutes later where one of the girls took my measurements. She had me take out my contacts and then wait 45 minutes with no contacts in——-listening to them talk about their farm house wedding. I was texting a friend about this and she said she had a bad experience and they gave her the wrong prescription. Then the optometrist came in, said to go ahead and check me out— $68 for an exam. I told them that this was the most unprofessional I have been treated at an eye doctors and left. Health insurance is very expensive and they should treat people with respect, and be professional. Also paying for a service before you receive it is not professional. I went to this place before Covid and had a great experience, so it makes me sad to have to find another eye doctor to go to.

The doctor was quick, but not rude. He answered all of my questions. Said my left eye is 20/20 but when I close my right, distance is slightly blurry without glasses on so idk about that but hes the doctor lol I probably wouldnt go here again but I didnt have a terrible experience.

My appointment was at 5 and my husbands at 5:15, it is now 5:45 and I am just now getting my exam. On top of it taking forever, when I had my pre-check, it was in the middle of a crowded waiting room, no privacy and not neat. They asked me to take my contacts out and did not offer me a place to wash my hands, which is especially crucial during covid-19 times. Lastly, the doctor was snarky, not helpful and tried to discredit all of my concerns. If I had to be blunt, Id say he was very rude. I would not recommend seeing Dr. Ben Wheeler for any reason, unless of course you want to feel belittled by the time you walk out of the office and unsure of if you are even seeing correctly.

My experience at Targer Optical in Brentwood, TN was terrible at best. When my glasses first came in I was not able to see out of them. The associate who assisted me was very rude and eventually passed me off to Diane. While Diane was friendly, the other associate continued to intervene. At one point she even called Diane over and moved into a position where I couldnt see what she was saying or doing and proceeded to discuss me with another customer in front of her. When my glasses came in a second time I received a text message to inform me that they were available. I was out of town for four weeks and totally forgot to get them. In addition, I wasnt thrilled about walking back into the office where I had been treated so poorly to pick up glasses that I wasnt confident were being changed in any way. Ultimately, I came home to a box at my front door that contained the glasses along with a note that NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS had been made to contact to me. The only attempt to contact me was the one text message I received! I am still not able to see out of the glasses and have no desire to deal with the staff at this location to get this straightened out. Im not stuck with these for two years until my insurance will pay for a new pair from a more professional optometrist. It goes without saying, I absolutely do not recommend this location.

They were nice. I broke my glasses and needed to be seen that day and they were able to acomadate. Not only that, they had a sample pack of contacts in my prescription. No eye doctor I have ever gone to has ever had samples in my prescription. Overall nice experience.

Ive been wearing contacts and glasses for 20 years and have never had a worse experience than at this Target Optical. The optometrist is very rude and moves at lightning speed to the point where you wonder if he even produced an exam. When they ordered my contacts, they not only ordered the wrong kind, but also the complete wrong prescription for both eyes. They were not very keen on taking them back since I had worn a pair, and then they could not return them, even though it was their fault. They then proceeded to order me 6 trial pairs to replace what they have given me (which Im pretty sure is not legal), three of which ripped in the first few days of wearing. These are month long contacts. Ive never had contacts rip before so I do not know what is with the quality of this brand. Overall, horrible experience, and highly recommend never stepping foot into here.

The manager Christy at the Brentwood, TN location called me crazy, ignorant and other degrading things when I simply asked her to recommend me some eye drops for my little one that was crying from pink eye. Yes he saw his Eye Dr for antibiotics but we were at the Target store later and we only asked the target optical center to recommend drops to soothe his eyes. She rolled her eyes at me and looked thru me and was busey talking casual conversation with her coworkers that was rude. She had me stupid and I was just floored and said she was the manger not the DR and pointed to a room to go to to ask the Dr and no Dr was in there just another rude optical employee . I was leaving because I realized I was dealing with racism or ignorance and she told the target store major I threatened her and that was incorrect because I have physical disabilities that to harm someone could kill me. She was grabbing for lies to cover up her racist remarks but she didn’t even care to even help my baby. My young nephew told the target store manager the degrading words she said to me and said that his aunt was not even close to her nor threatened her or cussed. Kevin the store manager would not give me her name nor let me go get a business card because he said he had to speak with her and it was evident he already did. Kevin was on his name tag. I am not going to let one other person go thru this so I will see them n court. They made my disability flare up painfully and my baby boy still crying and didn’t even care to look.

Don’t go here. The doctor told me the glasses I was wearing had no prescription in them which is not true and that I had 20/20 vision even though I couldn’t read the charts he put up. Don’t go here until they get a different doctor - he couldn’t care less about what he’s doing.
