My entire family has been going to see Dr. Gavami for years, and weve had excellent service. Dr. G knows his stuff and always explains things to me. The folks who work there are super nice and give great service. I dont think you can find a better optometry practice in the area!

Really enjoy coming here. I moved here from california and was so happy to find such a wonderful place when moving here. The exam was quick and the doctor explained everything very well. You can tell he knows his stuff and really cares about your eye health. Overall the staff were very helpful and patient in making sure I was happy with the glasses i bought.

If I could leave 10 stars I would. I recently moved in the area and was I need of an exam and found nuvue from google. The staff was extremely helpful. I was unsure of my vision insurance and they were able to find it for me. After my exam I decided to purchase some eyewear and the gentleman there helped out a lot. If you don’t know what style you need they will help you all the way. We tried on several different pairs and he walked me through what best fits and why. It was an easy and enjoyable experience overall. 10/10 would recommend.P.S. if you hate having the dilation drops they have advanced equipment that can check all the health of your eyes without having the drops!

I finally have found a professional office with outstanding helpful staff , not to mention that you feel like your in a boutique type atmosphere with the best brand eyewear in the market. If you are looking for an optometrist that truly cares and explains the whys and what fors of everything then this is the place for you. Dr Gavami and his staff are highly on my list to recommend

Nobody likes high-pressure, dubious sales tactics. Unfortunately, thats what our family experienced at Nuvue Eyecare.Following my wifes eye exam, she was told - not asked to make her selection for glasses. Despite objecting, and explaining she couldnt see the frames because of the sensitivity in her dilated eyes, the store associates pressed on - putting a pair in her hands and saying just get these, they look great. Again, she objected and said that she couldnt even see the prices - a big red flag. The associate brushed off those concerns, saying insurance would cover most of the costs and then rattled off the charges that my wife didnt even know were optional. She was in pain and under duress but they continued pressuring her until she gave them her credit card to pay for the procedure.In the end, we received an invoice that was significantly higher than she was quoted for glasses (and almost $500 higher than our insurance would cover) that she didnt even get to see. It was bloated with unnecessary premium options like retina blockers which they touted but are scientifically unproven. I immediately called Nuvue to cancel the order. To their credit, they gave a refund - minus a $5 surcharge, which they said was necessary to cover their cost of the original credit card transaction.Its extremely disappointing that this eye care facility seems to care more about up-selling product than taking care of its patient.

A few weeks ago I brought my daughter to NuVue to get a new prescription since she had broken her only pair prior. They were able to do a series of scans rather than dilation which was a life saver since my daughter is 7 and is uncomfortable with things near her eyes. The doctor was impressive and really knew his stuff!I had been planning on getting the prescription and going elsewhere to find a full set of glasses which would have left my daughter a couple weeks without being able to see correctly, but after the exam we decided to browse their options anyway.The gentleman helping us was patient and really took the time to explain sizing (I had told him that she had always had a problem with her frames falling off her head) and let my daughter try on frames she liked. We ended up going with a frame they had and to my surprise they were able to make her glasses that same day! The staff even stayed late for us so that they could make it happen!In summary, NuVue was a great experience! I couldn’t have been more happier. Great staff, great doctor, and since we’ve had her glasses they have not fallen off once and she even seems to be seeing better than her previous pair! I will definitely be following up in the future with my own exam and likely a new pair of glasses! 5 stars

Had the best experience at Nuvue! Amazing staff, great quality of eye wear to chose from as well. The doctor was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel at ease with my eye issues. This experience all in all was the best my family has had. I won’t be going anywhere else for my eye needs nor will my family. We are sold on Nuvue!!! Please go check them out next time we highly recommend it!!!

Dr. Gavami and his staff were very professional.My eyewear is very high quality and it shows. The staff had me try eyewear that I would never have thought to try on and I loved it on me. It goes to show the importance of personal care compared to other drive thru exams. My eyes are worth excellent care.

BEST eye care experience I have ever had. As soon as I walked in the door, every one was hopping in to help me pick my frames. They NEVER tried to pressure me into liking a specific brand or set because of the price point. Everyone was genuinely concerned with making sure I loved my frames. Dr. Gavami is also wonderful, he took the time to explain every little detail of the exam, and even give me some fun facts! I have already come back to the office and recommended them to several others. Awesome awesome awesome!Update: Ive had my glasses for over a week now, and am still obsessed with them. Ive never been able to wear glasses for longer than a day or two at a time before. Usually theyre fuzzy and give me headaches, not to mention Ive never had a pair of frames which actually suited my face. Also, I have a difficult prescription, and my lenses always looked a little wonky when I had them done at other doctors. I have worn these every day the last week and a half, and am still getting compliments on them everyday. Theyre perfect!

Id give 6 stars, if I could. The doctor is great, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and, most importantly, I can see better than ever. I initially thought they didnt have many frame options, but they actually have an incredibly large and diverse selection. I had my designer glasses in less than a 24 hours. It is honestly one of the best doctors office experiences Ive ever had.

I don’t know what has changed here, but I just got screwed out of $600. A couple of years ago, I bought new frames and two pairs of lenses from this place (one for my old frames as a spare). Every thing was great. I went back recently for an eye exam and was given a new prescription for my newer frames. Something wasn’t right. I couldn’t see as well as with the old prescription in the old frames. They redid the lenses twice with no discernable improvement. I explained the problem in detail, but it seemed no one wanted to really listen. Instead they kept trying to gaslight me into thinking somehow I was the problem. When I tried to get my money back because they said they couldn’t help me anymore, they refused. Use Nuvue at your own risk.

My first experience at Nuvue Eye care was a couple of years ago. The doctor is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable from the beginning. He educated me on my eyes, and answered all of my questions without making me feel like I was taking up to much of his time. While there, I also tried contacts for the first time! Ive always worn glasses (and I actually love and prefer wearing them), and I wasnt sure if contacts would be right for me, or if I would even be able to put them in without poking my own eye out lol. However the staff was very patient, and helped me learn how to do it! However, after I tried them for a few days while waiting for my new glasses, i noticed that they werent always comfortable. I was going to decide against getting them, but the doctor worked with me on picking the right brand that was most comfortable for my eyes...I really appreciated that. And his wife is the best! She helped me pick out the perfect pair of frames, which I still get compliments on daily, two years later! I would definitely recommend this place to ANYONE...you will definitely have a great experience.

I took my mother in for an exam and Dr Gavami was able to explain everything about her eyes. It was a very relaxing visit and we felt at home in the beautiful office. The staff treated us very well (I had three of my children with me!). The glasses the doctors wife picked out for her were beautiful and she gets so many complements from everyone she knows. We will be back next year which makes it year three!

We had a wonderful experience at Nuvue! The Dr. did a terrific job with my 7 year old and her 1st eye exam. The staff was so helpful and patient as we selected her first pair of glasses. We highly recommend Dr. Gavami to all of our friends and family!

I love everything about this place. Pricing for my glasses was a bit expensive but you pay for what you get. Professionalism by the staff was great. & their fitting tech took care of me in no time. I highly recommend using them if in need of vision care. 👓😊

I recently moved here from California. What a surprise to find this little gem very close to me. The choice of frames is amazing. The staff were wonderful and the setting is relaxing. I want to especially thank Dr. Gavami and Mike. I have been puzzled for quite some time as to why my left vision is always blurry. As a new patient, I authorized the full battery of screening tests to be performed. Some were repeated to make sure the best picture was be captured. I am so relieved to finally know that there is a reason, I’m not imagining things and cleaning my glasses and using drops won’t clear up my vision. I don’t know what the final outcome will be but I am totally comfortable working with Dr. Gavami and following his lead wherever it takes me. Thank You!

Customer service and selection is great, the staff is very knowledgeable and professional. it’s a great atmosphere, with a very knowledgeable physician on site.

The only reason I am giving one star is because Dr. David Gavami is one of the best optometrist in Nashville. I made an appointment for my son and was told by Jeannie that our portion of the contact fitting fee would be $20 (she later stated she did not have that conversation with me). The day of the appointment after the exam and after my son had put in the sample contacts he was told he had to pay $90. He was humiliated when he did not have money to pay the $90. The office staff had him remove the contacts and he left with nothing. No prescription no contacts nothing! The following Monday I contacted Blue Cross Blue Shield and they confirmed that the contact fitting was covered 100% not even $20 that I was told originally. They office staff contacted him and stated they would send him $150 worth of contacts and two samples. Not at any point did he received an apology nor has he received the two sample pairs. It is very unfortunate this happened. I tell everyone how great NuVue is and can not do that any longer.

I love the atmosphere the people are extremely friendly and helpful. They have all up to date eyewear and I am always getting compliments. I have been going there for 3 years and will continue to go.

I wish I could give no stars at all. The doctor here is rude, unprofessional and offensive. When going over my medical history I told him I had recently undergone a total hysterectomy, his response what did you do?. I mentioned to him I was still dealing with other medical issues and was currently in a lot of pain and that I was nervous about undergoing an examination on my eyes and didnt know what to expect, he told me youre being a baby. They dialated my eyes and upon leaving never offered me glasses to wear outside. I can not express my disgust at the experience from start to finish. Do NOT give these people your business.

Nuvue is an intimiate and chic office with a great selection of fashionable eyewear. Its also very well staffed. It was busy and steady the saturday of my appointment but i found them all to be attentive and more than happy to explain new patient forms, insurance benefits, and finding the right frames for my face. Doctor Gavami was my favorite. I regret not selecting the screenings that check the health of my eyes as he schooled me on how these tests can show different layers of the eye and how eyes can also diagnos other ailments of the body, like diabetes. He also selected great contacts-the most comfortable ive ever worn. Nuvue gets my stamp of approval for sure. Cant wait to go back.

Ive been going to NuVue for a little over 2 years. Dr. Gavami and his staff are wonderful. Everyone is very personable and attentive. The office is warm and inviting, which is the opposite of what I previously found in the chain eyecare stores. Their equipment is state of the art as well. On my last visit, Dr. Gavami noticed cholesterol deposits in my eye mapping. He mentioned that a supplement of red yeast rice has been proven to reduce cholesterol. I have had high cholesterol for the past 5 years. I started taking the supplements before my annual physical. My overall cholesterol results came back at 155, which is not only well within normal, it is the lowest Ive ever had. Thanks for not only taking care of my eyes Dr. Gavami, but also looking out for my overall well-being.
