I was home on a Saturday right with a tooth ache which started during the day and was not letting up with the pain and throbbing. I went to the ER for help and relief and thats just what i got. My nurse was fast, caring and professional. She got me the relief I needed by providing me with pain relief medication and antiboiotics for infection. I was also provided instructions for care at home and numbers for referrals to dentist that were low cost and affordable to me. I am very satisfied with the level of service and care I received during my time of pain - Tooth ache aint no joke. I would like to say Thanks to ALL who works here at Saini Emergency Room. You do right by me. Two THUNBS UP!!

I’ve been in this waiting room for almost 4 hours and I have yet been seen by anyone. There has been many people that have come in after me and been seen before I have. This quick ER visit has turned into an all day occurrence. This is completely ridiculous it doesn’t seem busy. This hospital needs to find a way to get patients in and out without them having to wait HOURS before being seen, again RIDICULOUS ! This is my very first and definitely my last visit here. I ABSOLUTELY do not recommend coming here, unless you would like to be waiting all day to be seen.BTW: IM STILL WAITING , 4+ hours .

Arrived at 1:20PM with pains in my side as if kidney stones. Was not taken for CT scan until 10PM however was given meds while being told I could not eat anything until after scan which means I was given high pain meds on an empty stomach which further caused issues. It is 2AM and I have been here for over 13 hours without being seen but the nurses continue to give meds… however I have not seen a doctor to be diagnosed nor received info of CT scan results. This is the worse hospital I have seen. It is CORVID going on and there is no cleaning crew. I suggest you go anywhere else than here

Never have I been treated so utterly bad! Never have I had a nurse, a nurse tech, and a doctor literally yell at me for asking foe a simple cup of water. I then had the nurse tech run away from me while I was telling the conditions in the ER waiting room - which contained a serious bug and ant infestation. She told me to stop, and while I was asking her a question, she turned and ran - and I mean RAN - out of my area! Then, after waiting 6 1/2 hours, a ‘doctor’ finally got around to seeing me…mind you now, I was in the ER with a life threatening illness: my kidneys were literally failing as my bloody urine flow had utterly stopped flowing!! I attempted to stop anyone in an attempt to get someone to take my situation serious! :even though I had been unable to urinate for 2 days running, and my urologist was saying I needed emergency operation to make I didn’t die…literally !!I even had a nurse tech and a registered nurse started yelling at ONLY because I sincerely needed a simple cup of water. When I tried to ask additional questions, she suddenly turned her back to me. As she saw me approaching, she literally began to run away from me!! The nurse came shortly, and I related this story to her, she actually defended her tech stating, “well Mr. Tignor, my nurse techs don’t have to speak to anyone that they don’t want to - kind of getting the feeling of a grade school fight over lunch - and that was that. When I started to protest, and tell her that that part of her job - you know - actually speaking to her patients, she started yelling at me!!The ‘doctor’ would as me a question and NOT ONCE did I ever have the chance to complete a response. He also stopped me when I attempted to provide him with information. In the end - he flippantly told me I had Kidney stones; and started a walking away - as I was asking him questions!! He wouldn’t stop - even though I kept trying to ask him vitally important questions!!!! I’ve never had a kidney stone, so I clearly had quite a few questions; but the ‘doctor’ has made up his mind - and I was just not that important to him…

My daughter was transported here from Franklin Scare due to her being pediatric & needing surgery ASAP for a nasty broken ankle (both bones). As a mother I was an absolute mess but the entire staff here was amazing. From the Nurses, Doctors, dietary, security (sorry guys for getting stuck in the elevator 20 million times) and housekeeping I was always greeted in a caring and friendly manor. Nurse Linda, Nurse Loni & Nurse Heather were my daughters favorites. Dr. Assayag saved my daughters foot, Chief Anesthesiologist Dr. Sagal were the best I could have asked for. These two really made me feel confident and safe while my daughter was in their hands on the operating table. I can’t thank the staff at Sinai enough for making sure my daughter was cared for in the best way I could have asked for. Thank you Thank you Thank you to every one of you. You guys are the true hero’s and we will never forget how you took care of her & I during our 2 days. We will be back Friday for her follow up with the surgeon! God bless you! ❤️

There seems to be a new staff or training at Emergency Room ,even though it was a wait time for others but not myself , the staff is so compassionate and understanding that patients waited for so long and in pain have a right to be agitated when they get into a room. Patients often are nasty or rude by the time a er doctor or nurse enter-acts with them but it doesnt excuses bad behavior or vulgar language.I was help within 4mins as I checked in and had a room in about 15 or 20mins when waiting room was full upon my arrival. On December 13th I was transported by ambulance after falling down the stairs at home and suffered a complete shoulder dislocation with a severely bruised hip and leg. I would have given 5 stars, if it were not for the fact that I waited way too long to receive pain medication. I cannot honestly tell you how long I waited for pain medication , however, I was assessed by the triage nurse who looked at my very disfigured arm and indicated that pain relieve was coming very soon; next assessed by the ER nurse who also looked at my disfigured arm and immediately phoned the physician for an order of morphine. Unfortunately, the physician refused to give the nurse the order over the phone and indicated that she would have to see me first! I was crying and sobbing uncontrollably and, I could tell the nurse felt terrible for me, but unfortunately there was nothing she could do. I am also a nurse and trust me, we as nurses know when someone really needs pain medication and when some is drug seeking. I ask that you train your E.R. physicians to understand that they should always trust their nurses instincts and please don’t assume that everyone coming to the E.R. Is drug seeking!

They bypass patients for transportation based on their personal like. No updates from nurse desk unless you asked. Staff walked all loud on the hallway with complete disregard. Even during this COVID-19 crisis theyre having people sharing rooms without or little privacy. Some of them lie as far as submitting paper work on time. It took hours hrs for discharge just so they could nickel and dime he insurance companies. Patients are being left in the hallways for hrs and some without mask on. They treat people with no dignity. What I witnessed and dealt with truly saddened me because I once used to have great appreciation for this hospital. The cleaning is a joke. They pick the trash from the trash cans and thats about it. I’m really disappointed. My sister has been evaluated to this hospital a couple weeks ago and she was getting better on her own, but due to the negligence of the nurses that work there and the negligence of the doctors and helpers as well my sister got pneumonia because no one was there to help her in the room when she has vomited, no one was in that room for so long that the vomit went to her lungs and caused pneumonia. Even getting to the point she vomited was so frustrating to me.. don’t they have to monitor what she was digesting so that wouldn’t have happened in the first place ? These doctors and nurses and etc just put on a show when parents and family come to visit so they would think that they are doing a their job, but when family leaves they neglect the patients. One nurse was so rude and had a attitude when told by parents to do their job because she was slacking and couldn’t see the patient was agitated. I 100% do NOT recommend this hospital to anyone.

If I could give their ER 0 stars I would give them NEGATIVE. As a patient who came in from a car accident with back, neck and head pain, I sat in the waiting room for over 6 hours before I got moved to the back hallway in front of an empty room where I am currently sitting and waiting. I asked for pain management several times as I’ve been sitting in excruciating pain for hours and no one has done anything about it. I guess because I’m not dripping blood my “emergency” isn’t considered “emergent”. Not only did the nurse leader make me walk back to the ER area, when it was clear that I was having trouble doing so, but she just dropped me off in the middle of the hallway and stated “a provider would be with you”. After many hours of suffering and pain and already asking if I could have some type of pain management, I asked another nurse who stated she would ask “my designated nurse” who’s response was “she’s just going to have to wait”. I’ve never experienced such horrible service in a hospital EVER. And for a Lifebridge Healthcare Institution I’m extremely disappointed. This in no way displays quality of care or says that you care about the well being of your patients. I get that people have to wait, but I shouldn’t have to wait hours upon hours in pain. I’ll definitely be writing their board.

Dear Sinai Hospital, I let one really bad experience paint a haunting memory in my mind. You have been redeemed. We went to ER, my husband was not well. The whole process went smoothly. He was examined, and assessed. Everyone, really everyone, we came in contact with, were helpful and professional. Every promise made to me has been kept. The social worker called me both Saturday and today. Oh - the security officer was very kind. My impression has changed. Dont screw up!

This hospital is absolutely horrible. The routes are confusing. And who wants to pay parking for an emergency room or just to visit someone in general? Also who kicks an ill person out of their room and make them stay on a couch for 3 hours! They don’t even attend you fast. They take an hour to do the basic set up. Also the MRI machine broke. I’ve never heard of an MRI machine breaking in a hospital. Hopefully won’t be coming here ever again.

The team who took care of me was just excellent. However, the wait was a little longer but worth it. Northwest hospital is 4min away from me but I prefer to drive 20min to Sinai because they somehow better that northwest.

Neurology PAs were wonderful. Came in with a smile, thoroughly explained what was going on with my dad and how he will heal. ER in need of a rebuild. Ambulances bring people in stretchers which have to stay lined up in hallways until a room can be found.Dad wound up in room 18 of chest pain area.. so at least he had a room.. no desk to go to ask questions. Night nurse asked to change after diaper became wet. What??? Put wet blankets in soiled bin and put a covidien pad under him but no adult diaper replacement. It’s an hour later and no one after being asked twice has brought him something to cover himself. There needs to be somebody you can go to ask questions. No room at the inn.. he was cleared to go back to his assisted living facility but if Dad hadn’t voiced the concern no one is there to help him until 7am we may have gotten there at 5am and not been able to get in. Finally.. it’s the middle of the night.. how does he get there.. and no one discussed if an ambulance is covered. I can’t even talk to a social worker to discuss transportation options. At this point I am ready to report the hospital to the Medical board. They need the room to get the next patient out of the hallway and I am sure the nurses are overworked... but someone needs to train the staff on how to take care of patients. Look at the other reviews.. there are many rude staff here. And I blame administration for not creating a smile and treat people the way you want to be treated atmosphere. Hospital Board.. do your job and change this hospital or change administrators who won’t try to make it better.Final straw.. an inch of built up dirt in corners of bathroom near room 18... surprised to see that in a hospital environment where everything needs to be cleaned.

The people working here are very nice but it should not take over two hours to deal with a cut. Would have lived to have gone to an urgent Care center but none were open this late. After reading some of these other reviews Im guessing this will be the gift that keeps on giving when billing gets involved.

Awful. I had no idea what was going on. They were not transparent at all. They made me feel absolutely lost and afraid. I mustve came back about four or five times before they let me know what was going on. I lost time out of work.

I have been here three times for pediatric procedures. I have no complaints with the medical treatment we received, but the claims handling and billing can only be described as grossly incompetent. Not one bill we received was correct. After our second visit, our claim was paid in full, yet the bill was referred to a collector. It took three months to resolve the issue, and throughout we were receiving calls from a collection agency. It took multiple calls to the Vice President of billing to resolve the issue. Other than that VP, no one ever returned our calls. Most recently, multiple claims were sent to the wrong insurer. Even after repeated attempts to have the claims submitted to the correct provider, the claims still havent been submitted properly.

It’s really a shame. I’ve been in and out of here several times with a sick parent. So much so that nurses knew our names. It was great at a time but there’s been a sharp decline. They caused my mother to get bed sores. They did not clean her properly and we wouldn’t have known had a nurse not brought it to our attention. Unfortunately the strain of long term caregiving kept me from taking pictures so it was my word against theirs but they are bad. I think the issue is they over work the staff. Her health went downhill after her last stay and they kept moving her from unit to unit so that no one would take the blame for causing her wounds. I wander how many people they’ve killed due to negligence and then blamed it on “preexisting conditions”.Do yourself a favor and even in the midst of stress, grief, or whatever do not trust that they’ll do the right thing and DOCUMENT everything so that they can’t lie.

My 3 year old had surgery here. 98% of the staff is great, from the surgeon, nurses, security to cafeteria workers. Pediatric floor was only built a few years ago. On site housing for out of town families is a blessing. Only downside is admin staff making errors on billing and scheduling.

Up till recently, I have heard unbelieveable stories about Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, but never really believed them till recently. My Mother recently had surgery, and I have went to visit her on several occasions. She have complained to me that whenever she calls someone with the call button for assistance, they take so long to come, and sometimes they dont come at all.I was there and noticed she called someone to help her use the restroom. Someone answered BUT NEVER CAME!! I took her to the bathroom . So be careful of them. Theyll take your money but dont want to do their job. NORTHWEST ON OLD COURT ROAD HAVE the MOST ATTENTIVE STAFF EVER!!You family is better off going there instead of Cianide. 😌

WORST HOSPITAL IN HISTORY. How are y’all still open . I got into a car crash .. sent on a ambulance.. with a headache, pain in leg and when we got there , there was a line on people in stretchers and will chairs .. so we still in pain waiting to be seen getting off of the ambulance !!!! My sister who had a broken nose and was in the hall way just waiting . This is why people die now . Everyone was just walking around on they phones , smacking gum and looking careless as if people arent hurt and in pain .

My experience with the emergency room hasnt been too bad, since they had gotten better over the years, until my dad recently was taken there. The nurses werent attentive to his needs. He shared a room with someone who they ended up moving out to bring an unresponsive patient in. The nurses acted like it was a single room pushing chairs and table all towards my dads side of the room to make room for the new patient with no regards to the person in the other side, my dad. They bumped the stuff all against my dads bed so when I said something about it the young nurse says well sorry then she says to her coworker well I said sorry in a smart manner. Very unprofessional.

Brought an infant to the ER with an airway obstruction verified by Pediatrician and Advanced Radiology around 6:30pm is now 10:21am and they continue to push the removal back and of course no formula until after the procedure. They are taking ppl who are full grown adults and already on the schedule over a 7month old Asthmatic child. Do not take your child to Sinai if u have medical assistance. U will receive second rate services if any.

Grandmother was ill, sent her too the hospital and shed stay for three days at a time before being sent back with no answer as to why. Send her again and theyre giving her blood. Claimed she was bleeding internally but they didnt know where from and never resolved the issue. Kept sending her back home until she eventually passed away. Due to bleeding from a stomach ulcer. Wont ever forget one of the days we came to pick her up. She had messed the bed and they hadnt cleaned it. And there was blood on her upper lip from a nose bleed. Hope I never have an emergency that requires me to come here. I appreciate those that care, but the ones who dont make it hard to find trust these days.

I was in a horrible car accident and I damaged my liver. Stage 4 damages. I have not received any oral care since Wednesday and I’ve been depressed and I’m so much pain. There have been a lot of nice people but my breath and mouth is busted but haven’t received ANY ORAL CARE. This is absurd I haven’t even been wiped down. I have sensitive skin and I’ve been itching all day. I’m too nice and I don’t know how to speak for myself.
