This is a JOKE of a hospital. Literally shouldn’t be operating. I get we are in times of Covid but I have been here for 5 hours and nothing. I asked for a status update and the nurse never came back. When I confronted her about it, she’s said the main nurse doesn’t have a clue. If you don’t know, at least do your job. I highly recommend going somewhere else because there is a good chance you’ll die in their waiting room before they make an attempt to see you.

First let me start by saying you should be able to give negative stars. This hospital and it’s staff should be ashamed of themselves and the way they treat pediatric patients. On August 26 my granddaughter was attacked by a family dog and her face was tore open. I rushed her to the ER at approximately 3:20 PM. She had deep lacerations to her face including a chin wound that was wide open and the muscles were severed. They sat us in the waiting room and that is where we sat for 45 minutes until I complained about it and they took us in the back where we sat so long my granddaughter fell asleep with her face still laying wide-open they hadn’t even came in to clean it address it or anything. After sitting there for several hours I contacted Sinai Hospital they told me to bring her immediately to the ER and a pediatric surgeon would meet me there. This is how a real hospital should respond to pediatric trauma. We left Franklin Square ER at approximately 630 so they left us sitting there for almost 4 hours and then as we were leaving the ER they actually had the nerve to say we’re ready to see you now. They are lucky that my granddaughter was in need of urgent care or I probably would’ve did something very stupid. Due to the nature of the wounds and the damage to the muscle on the chin since my granddaughter was not treated immediately some of the tissue had already been damaged beyond repair and she may not fully regain muscle usage in her chin which is affecting her lips and smile. I want to write this review because I want everyone out there to know exactly what you’re getting into if you take your child to the emergency room they don’t have the manpower or the professionals to treat pediatrics so they should definitely immediately refer you somewhere else if they’re just going to let your child sit. i’m seriously considering pursuing legal action.

After a foot injury I took my husband to the Franklin Square emergency room and to be honest, the only redeemable quality of this visit was our experience with the PA who saw him. After sitting in a triage room for almost 10 hours, and after asking for medicine multiple times as well as a drink, he was forced to get his own drink form the waiting room while in excruciating pain. After we saw the Physicians Assistant, Vanessa Morales, our mind was changedShe was compassionate, understanding and helpful while making you feel like your concerns are heard. She answered questions and did not seem to be in a rush to get out of the room like some others can be. If I could Id give her a five star review herself. Tldr: wait times were awful, but the pa was awesome

I’m really disappointed about this hospital. They don’t give to you any medication for pain, they pass to you to a room after about 7 hours. They give to you a little bed like baby bed. Hellooooooo!!! we’re a patient, please give the best attention possible. Is really, really bad hospital. My husband ask 3 time for medication and they never answer him, my husband it did not fit in the “little bed at all”. Hellooooooooo they supposed to have more bed for the patient. Really bad

If I could give a zero and write a review that would be great. Unfortunately, I dropped my spouse off at 4:30pm and just picked her up at 2:30am. 10 freaking hours without being seen and no one knows when she would be called back. Good job Franklin! You should be shut down and retrained on how to deal with Emergencies. Word of advice: Assembly Line. One patient comes in and another get them triage and sent to the back. See how AAMC does there’s or any hospital.

This ER is ground zero for the COVID spread. I had to clean the chair in triage as the tech took dirty sheets from the chair and told me to sit. I opened a bottle of wipes and proceeded to clean the chair. She asked if I was in healthcare. No but I dont want COVID or MERSA. I had to argue with a waiting room nurse to get wipes to clean a chair in the waiting room which was completely filthy. I waited in my car after my blood was drawn. 2 shifts and no cleaning staff insight. The nurse and tech for the first shift didnt clean their hands or wear gloves when taking vitals of all patients in ER waiting room so I walked outside to avoid them. The guy on the 2nd shift was the only staff observing safety procedures to ensure he didnt spread germs. The tech on with him was very friendly but I had to ask her to wash her hands and watched her do so in the back before I allowed her to touch me. She had taken vitals of nearly everyone in the room and cleaned up used blankets and cups all with no gloves and never washing her hands. I was sent to the ER from Urgent care. I spent almost 12 hours waiting for an ER bed in the back to see an in-person doctor. Wasnt but another 6 hour :( til they decided on admitting and scheduling surgery. Once I reached the admitting floor I asked for the charge nurse and my doctor to be paged because the RN Susan who placed an IV in my arm told me she didnt have access to my chart so she was completely unaware of my treatment plan. Later I find out the IV order had expired good thing it was just saline. I would not recommend the Hepatologist they just want to cut and offer no outpatient treatment or follow up as non invasive treatment options to elective type surgeries. Porters were high in demand and low in supply. All were kind quick and careful. All my blood draw techs ER and on the floor were clean quick and painless. Visiting hours for code yellow suck the time should be extended to 8pm so folks who visit after work can come and see you. If you can only get one visitor a day for humanitys sake be more flexible in visiting hours. As for the hospital liquid diet offering. You all should be ashamed. I assume the that broth both chicken and beef are powder packets and water. It taste like old grease and corn starch. The cleaning service for my room was trifling. One only took the trash and the other wiped the counter tray table something in the bathroom and floor with the same wipe in that order. She did mop the main room floor and pull the trash but she didnt clean door handles bed rails or seating or the actual bathroom.

JUST DONT BOTHER TO EVER COME HERE PLEASE! This is truly the worst hospital in Baltimore, County MD. and I am not even from here. I could go on and on about my horrific experience but I wont. I only went here because it was so close to home. I got here at 12am yesterday with severe abdominal pain. I only had my blood drawn, and that was it smdh. I was there for 5 hours waiting with anger at this point. It was 5:00 am and I had no results, pain meds, or xrays, nothing! They kept calling names to the back of people who wasnt even there anymore. It was even someone still waiting in the back who had Covid. The receptionist, an other employees in the ER had major attitudes. You dont even see the doctor in person(on a screen) to assess you or answer any questions or concerns that you may have. It was a 5 month old pregnant woman there beside me bleeding and in severe pain still waiting to be seen or get results and another women beside me who almost passed, in tears from severe abdominal pain waiting to be seen. I couldnt believe what I experienced and was in complete awe. I was disgusted so I refused to stay and just ended up leaving. I can tell it was beyond short staff. They need to hire people and fast or get a whole new staff that actually cares or want to come to work. Again dont waste your time coming here!

First off let me say this is the worst emergency room I’ve ever had to experience of going to honestly if you have a choice between this and Death , Death would be a much quicker and painless option my pregnant girlfriend went there and was there for an allergic reaction and waited for about 6 hours to be seen and then another 6 hours before actually being discharged the front desk staff was the most unprofessional pathetic thing you could call employees they did a very poor ultrasound on her making her think she had a miscarriage just for us to talk to her actual doctor to find out everything was ok . They left her curtain open while her Private areas where completely exposed the nurses spend more time in the back flirting and laughing with each other then actually doing their jobs I watched security almost punch a woman in the face because she had been waiting hours upon hours to be seen they then kicked the woman out . And my pregnant girlfriend was also put in an isolation room with a man who was positive for COVID .

Giving one star is being generous!! Given this is the closest hospital to me I’ve given this hospital more try’s then they deserve. Today I took my 12 year old daughter to the ER. After check in, we went to sit in the pediatrics waiting room where we normally sit when we sadly have to visit this hospital. My daughter gets called and they notify us that we have been waiting in the Covid room though the Sign clearly states Pediatrics waiting only!!!! We get to the back where they do vitals and we attend a virtual call with a doctor. Then are given direction to wait back in the waiting room. We go back out into the waiting room feeling frustrated that there was no clear direction or notifications that the pediatrics waiting room was now a Covid room as we have been possibly exposed to Covid. I then approached the front desk for reasoning and they said there was a sign. I then looked for the sign and then see a fine print typed up paper taped that said Isolation. This printer paper didn’t stand out from any other sign or piece of paper that they had all over and around their emergency department walls. FINE black ink! The pediatrics sign was purple and visible. If this was no longer a pediatrics waiting room than this sign should have been covered up and modified to avoid putting patients in immediate risk of catching Covid. I can only imagine how many others have been exposed to Covid due to this error of whom ever is in charge of ER guidelines. In general-Drive the extra mile to the next hospital. You won’t be impressed with this one. Sadly!!

They drew my blood with the curtain open. Nobody told me they were placing an IV port. They said blood draw so I was quite surprised when she put it in as I wasnt prepared for that. Then they sent me out to the waiting area where I spent most of my 6 hour visit. They were doing BPs in the waiting room. That is a HIPAA violation. Then they finally came to get me to supposedly take me to my room. No it was the same room they did my EKG in and the chair was horrible. Can you imagining spending most of your night in the waiting room to be brought to a chair? They treated me for something I didnt come in their for. It didnt work because that wasnt the problem! My symptoms never resolved. They told me my bloodwork was fine only to log into the portal the next day to see my Iron is low and TSH levels are high. How is that normal? That is ridiculous. People come for help and it seems they just do the bare minimal and send you on your way. Its no way that doctor reviewed my labs correctly. Hypothyroidism is serious and has serious effects if left untreated which could explain why I am having chest pain but according to the doctor my labs are fine. I would never go there again!

Due it her chest pain when it became unbearable for her to.sit in the chairs or half lay on the couches at 3am in the next morning. We even asked at this point how long it would be and we were.told 3 more patients for the next 3 hours. We also asked if she can lay down somewhere and we were.told yes we do have beds in the back but specific emergencies by the reception staff . She told us to simply wait even after we requested that we dont care even if we see the doctor put here. When I asked if we are being delayed because no doctor is on duty she said no in fact we have 3-4 doctors in the back with a laughing manner. My sister is in a lot of pain at this point, frustrated from being here all night and crying due to no help from the hospital. We had blood work and EKG done twice with no information about how they turned out. The repeatedly kept saying 3 more or 2 more patients ahead of us and not helping us at all. This was a horrible experience and I will never come.here again. It seemed like all the staff cared about was making money but working really slow. They were literary walking at snail speed. Other people were crying in pain and were given no help or treatment. Some patients had been there for 12 hours. This is horrible operations management at this hospital. It you cannot service that many patients, you need to.turn away patients and not care about money but this hospital does not feel that way. I saw a person bleeding and still sitting there for 11 hours. If I could complain to some higher place about this I would. I will definitely share my experience online as well as with any friends and family who think about choosing this hospital for service. The most greedy and inconsiderate staff ever.

The nurses here at the ED work extremely hard. They are understaffed, but still continue to treat those that require an Emergency room. Thank you for all of your hard work! Now on to you whining bunch of people that gave this place a 1 or 2. Welcome to the day and age that people no longer have a primary care provider. Everybody gets a little sick and decides they need to go to the ED. Here is the problem. If you have been sick for a couple days, and notice your symptoms getting worse, this is the time to call your primary care provider. Schedule an appointment with them. Or better yet, visit an urgent care facility, that does incredible at serving those with minor cough/cold.Second, some of you may not know how triage works. If you do decide to go to the ED for your sore throat, if your vitals are stable, youre not a top priority. If you scream at the top of your lungs because your abdominal pain hurts, youre not at a top priority. Just because you scream, doesnt mean youre going to be seen.. it means youre making a very unpleasant situation for the rest in the waiting room. If you say you have chest pain / trouble breathing, and your vitals / EKG determine that was a lie, guess where youre going? The waiting room. If you call 911 because you think youre going to be seen faster, guess what? They place patients in the waiting room too. What Im trying to say is: go to the Emergency Department for an EMERGENCY. Dont waste your time if you have a cough and cold. Thats just poor judgement on your part. But dont rate a hospital as low as 1 or 2 because you made the poor Judgement in not calling your own primary care physician.

Horrible. I wish I had looked at the reviews before hand. I was called back immediately and barely looked over before a nurse took a sample for strep throat. She leaves the sample for an entire hour, My S.O had come out to ask someone at the desk in the back of the nurse was coming back for the sample and she said wait for a nurse to come I had to flag down another nurse to complete checking me in. I hadnt been checked in at all for an entire hour. Once I get a nurse to take the sample we were sent back to the waiting room where after waiting for another 2 hours ON A STREP THROAT TEST am told that there are two people before me and to hang in there. A strep test at any other hospital had not taken me more than 25 minutes of my time at most. Its going on three and a half hours and I can hear the desk workers and the nursing staff joking over coffee. I saw five more staff members come in and yet and still the emergency room service is barley at a slow crawl.Do not come here if you value your health and time. Im ashamed for all of the staff involved.

Horrible triage prioritization. Horrible lack of any senses of urgency. 3 hours to be seen while in obvious pain and distress. Currently four hours in, and still waiting for actual treatment. It seems that the majority of the work being done here is for insurance companies, not the patients. Next time, we go to Mercy, despite being twice as far.

The old er at this hospital was sloooooowwww BUT was much faster than this newer one!! Came for chest pains and numb arm and got ekg right away then 2 hour wait to get bloodwork. 3 hours later still waiting for bed in back so I can see dr and get results. I assume the results cant be all that bad if Im still just waiting in the waiting room!! Have seen 3 patients leave to each 1 they have called back. So the should be needs available unless theyare stacking people on top of each other! Worst experience ever and I wont return here voluntarily!

Came in the ER after having a seizure and elevated blood pressure after them taking blood work and pushing me back into the waiting area I’ve been here over 5 hours now they have only checked my blood pressure 1 more time I’ve asked for my results and a paper just showing I was here just so I can return to work tomorrow since the seizure happened at work and they sent me here I’ve been told they can’t give me one without seeing the doctor and he’s not available after a seizure my body is weak and I’m tired they won’t even allow me to lay down and rest lets hope I don’t go into another one on their time clock THIS USED TO BE THE BEST PLACE IN MY OPINION TO COME FOR AND EMERGENCY boy have times and people changed the attitude of the staff here is terrible

Their policies are not service-oriented. I needed a first trimester screening done, and was unable to come to my appointment because I wouldn’t be allowed to take my child. I wish I could say whether or not they were understanding, but I couldn’t get anyone on the phone! I had to wait to speak to someone the next business day, and they did not reschedule my appointment. I was told to call my doctor and tell them that they cannot complete the services.

This hospital is the worst! My son has chest pains and kept passing out at home. I brought him to the ER at 11:30am this morning and it is now 10:30pm and no end in sight. Weve asked how much longer will we be waiting several times and are told I have no idea What kind of hospital treats people this way!?

Total ridiculous that people in pain wait this long. My fiance breast feed our baby and she is showing signs of mastitis which she just had in February. That month they must have cared because we didnt have any issues. Mastitis is very serious as the infection can get into your bloodstream. Im about to lose my shot on the staff here. Horrible someone should look into their horrible employees.

Wife in pain, over eight hours waiting to see a doc, should be unacceptable. Told the front desk and a nurse but no one seemed to care. Wont come back here voluntarily.

2nd time at this ER in 8 hours and the emergency room front staff is more worried about completing a chart than assisting a SEVERELY asthmatic patient who does not have enough breathe in them to speak a single word, let alone a sentence! And its all on video.. I believe this is also a racisism issue.. while the Caucasian lady refuses treatment due to having to complete a chart an African American woman (staff member) comes immediately to the rescue with a wheelchair understanding how serious this emergency was!! This is not okay, and could have seriously cost someone their life. Franklin Square WILL be hearing from an attorney!! If youre staff is not compassionate, understanding & willing to do their job, its your job to get rid of them!! Disgraceful!!
