The staff was in disagreement of the rules and procedures. Horrible horrible. I was upset when I got there and it got worse minute by minute.I tried to call and speak to someone regardingthe matters. If I could give this place no stars I would. My mother was transported here at this facility from a fall she had her doctor appt. They were horrible,unprofessional,non-caring.My mother had a bad fall the doctors didnt care. They didnt want to give her pain meds for her injury and damage to her face. When she was discharged the nurse didnt say anything to her but just handed her a folder and left out. What type of mess is that.Even on her check in bracelet they had her check in as male, clearly she is a woman.I advise none to take yourself or your family member here.Very dicusted with the service.

This is the best hospital and depts of foot, eye, back, shoulder, stomach, maternity ward, etc... They are great Doctors and nurses who have good staff and are always comforting no matter what is going on. I have a eye Dr, diabetes Dr, gyn Dr, mental health Dr, etc... All here at once!! N they have a pharmacy who is flexible and works with the patients and their own needs. Defense recommend that anyone visit here to be treated ❀

My husband was in here for 2 days. He was on the 4th floor, South wing. The nurses and techs were very nice and helpful. They made our stay pleasurable. The nurses and staff that prepared him for eye surgery were a pleasure also. If you ever need a good eye doctor, go see Dr. Grumbine. I highly recommend him.

If you want to sit somewhere for ten hours or more. Than UMMC Midtown Campus is the worst emergency room to come too. You literally sit five hours in the waiting area. To only get to the back finally and sit an additional five or more hours. The only good part too this hospital is certain staff members. This emergency room needs too be revised from front too back, A.S.A.P

I had surgery to repair my badly fractured ankle on March 20. The care i received was very good, from the admitting clerk to all of the nurses my needs were met and the staff was very friendly and prompt. I cannot thank them all enough and my Tech on Saturday named Lovie was sweet and caring

The staff are very, very rude. Customer service is the worst. One staff member in particular DEFINITELY needs a reality check WHITLOCK. AND THE SECURITY IS EVEN WORST. I SPOKE TO SOMEONE BY THE NAME OF GEORGE REFUSED TO GIVE HIS FIRST NAME THIS IS A MATTER FOR HIGHER UP OFFICIALS - THE MAYORS OFFICE AND THE CITY COUNCIL. IF THAT DOESNT WORK THE NEWS MEDIA. THIS IS A HOSPITAL NOT A PRISON VISITORS SHOULD BE TREATED WITH RESPECT. SEVERAL OTHER VISITORS HAD THE SAME ISSUES.

Never been to this hospital before but after seeing that video on Facebook today, I am absolutely disgusted and appalled by the lack of humanity and disregard for human life that your staff members displayed to that patient yesterday. Deplorable! This entire facility should be shut down and require each employee to get properly trained on how to treat your severely injured and mentally challenged patients. Surely your occupational skills should have given you a better idea than throwing a disrobed person into the street like trash. Repulsive!

Staff can make a bad situation worse. The service is bad. My grandmother care has been compromised since her transfer to this hospital. Staff are unfriendly, unprofessional and disrespectful. Its sad. Very unfortunate and its upsetting. If you want quality care, this place should be the last option on your list.

I was hospitalized for 4 days in the mental/behavioral health department of this facility for a glitch in medication. I will say that I was generally satisfied with the treatment of psychiatrist Dr.Knight. However, my parents have both been in the healthcare profession for the last 40 yrs and I have seen/visited a decent amount of hospitals in my short 25 years of existence. I can honestly state that I was extremely disappointed in the professionalism of the nurses, security, and janitorial staff of this facility. I have never seen nor dealt with such ignorance of patient satisfaction/safety/cleaninliness. There was quite a lack of patient compassion/therapy/medication distribution, also. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this facility as any form of decent therapy or rehabilitation to anyone.

My first time going to this hospital was to have my vascular surgery. The staff was amazing I never felt so welcome in a hospital in my life. They introduced me to everyone in that department. My nuser and the young lady in training stayed by myside the whole time. I pray I never half to go back to the hospital. But mudtown will be definitely my hospital of choice.

I went to get my surgery done here today. And my family, and I didnt feel like we was welcome at the hospital. The sercurity guard was in a grouchy mood. When I went back to the patient registration on the first floor to fill out paper work before I can go on the 4th floor the lady at the desk was grouchy like she didnt like her job. Soon as, I got to the 4th floor, I felt so loved, and welcome all my doctors, nurses, patient registration made me feel like, I was welcome.....my point is if your are having a terrible day. Why take that out on people that didnt do nothing wrong to you? I think you should fine a job that fits you,and not look miserable, and make the patients look like they should have a miserable day before their procedure.

I was hospitalized in the behavioral/psych unit for a few days. While the doctor Patchan (I believe thats how you spelled her name) and her social worker/partner were amazing, the staff and nurses were the worst. The facility was filthy, nurses would take too long to tend to patients needs. One staff member in particular made some rude comments about my weight. Ive stayed at one other hospital and I could say this one has a horrible time calming unruly patients. The lack of care from the ones we relied on was awful. I just have nothing positiveTo say about that place besides the therapist and social worker I saw before discharge. Please dont send loved ones here. Go somewhere else if you need it.

Pictures taken of the room in the Post Acute Specialty Program 6th floor in January 2017 but as of July 2017 nothing had changed.8/15/2017-UPDATE: My Brother is no longer with us, he died at this facility. If you care about your loved one, do what ever it takes to keep them from being placed in the Post Acute Specialty Program-6th Floor! The pictures I have of the rooms where patients are on respirators would make you cringe. If you have no other choice, then visit your loved one as much as possible to make sure they are really being cared for. If your lucky, you may get one of only two sitters that really cared about my bothers care. We came to visit my brother and found him in a state of almost full unconsciousness, the sitter thought he was asleep? It took the staff 45 minutes to get him into ICU-that was May my brother passed in July.My brother is now at what they call a hospital for rehab. It has to be the dirtiest, over neglected facility in the state of Maryland. You cannot even see out of the windows for the dirt and the window shades either dont work or are falling down. Forget air condition, fans running everywhere. The vents to the air conditioner are filthy as well. It is suppose to be a rehab facility but I feel you will need rehab after you leave. Wipe your feet on the way out. I truly feel for the people that live in this area who HAVE to depend on this hospital for medical care. Insurance is probably the reason most people are sent here, not the care for which you are told but to cut down on expenses. Shame on whoever is in charge of this facility. I dont think even the health department bothers to check this place out. GOD Bless the neighboring community that relies on this hospital (and I use this term loosely) for medical care. HAD TO GIVE ONE STARE BECAUSE YOU CANNOT LEAVE IT BLANK!

Alright so my brother came to the ER here last Saturday evening, Nov. 7th. For an abscess on his left chest. After being admitted that next day we spent the entire week on the 3rd floor with little information as to the cause, no clarity on who was the actual Doctor in charge. Finally, he had surgery, BED SIDE, they drained the abscess, leaving a quarter size hole in his chest. Two days later he was discharged. Then this most recent Sunday he was called with his lab results, turna out he has MRSA in his surgical wound, and was told to readmit himself ASAP. We got back to the ER at 7:30 pm on Sunday. It is now 12:17 am Monday morning and we are just getting to the back of the ER!!!! MRSA is contagious through contact. Why want he seen sooner?! Or allowed to sit freely on the waiting area!? Why didnt any of the nurses I spoke with see that as a priority!?

I came to the clinuc over a year ago, my drs couldnt figure out why i was having massive migraines during dialysis to the point that i was unable to form words. My pressure would shoot up to stroke numbers. I was sent home on tramadol. When I told my primary that they didnt work and it caused me extreme nausea, he told me to keep taking them.I dont know if it was because im black, or im poor.It seemed as though it didnt occur to him that i was intelligent. I dont know if he thought i was drug seeking, but needless to I left his office feeling disrespected, discouraged, helpless, and wondering who did I have to be for him to have treated me differently. This was a year ago. I havent been since.

My wife was transferred to MidTown from UMMC on 10/01/2014 for rehab. BIGGEST MISTAKE I ever made. Staff was poorly trained and not very attentive to her needs. A blood transfusion that went into her arm instead of a vein was said to be unacceptable by the attending physician as he was leaving the room. Never saw him again. Her arm was a completely bruised mess and still has discoloration. On an unannounced visit I found her lying in her own urine and feces some of which had spilled onto the floor. No telling how long she had been like that, but the stained sheets were already dry. I had her transferred to Gladys Spellman Rehab at Laurel Regional Hospital where she is receiving the best of care from a caring, responsible staff. I would not recommend MidTown to anyone considering it for reahb. I would, however strongly recommend UMMC Trauma Care. These folks know what they are doing and took very good care of my wife. Nothing but high praise for UMMC on Greene Street.
