Dr. Cox and his assistant were kind and compassionate. They really listened to my concerns when formulating my treatment plan. I also liked the fact that Dr. Cox requested my follow up appointment be scheduled with him--not a PA--so he could personally assess my progress. To me, that indicates a strong commitment he has to his patients. Only down side to my experience was the office location and having to pay for parking. However, these are minor inconveniences I am willing to deal with in order to receive top-notch care.

Everything was outstanding once I was escorted back to an exam room (I say this despite a few minutes wait in a paper gown). Under our current circumstances, I would like to see more attention paid to prompt service. I was not really excited to sit even in a socially distanced waiting room. I think they would probably think of a better system from that.

My experience at Perimeter Dermatology was beyond phenomenal! My dentist referred me as I had a small bump on my face. From arrival, the intake staff were super friendly and atmosphere overwhelmingly positive. Dr. Carter diagnosed my issue in literally seconds and I left with no bump. I am still a bit blown away by the experience. I was not expecting such a quick resolution in one visit. I highly recommend Dr. Carter and his team! I visited them for the first time for my acne and have seen Dr.Burns. She prescribed a topical for my face, and I bought it there for 45$. When I wanted to check something, I happen to remove the sticker they placed on top of the original packaging and was surprised to see that the BUD date on the product is expired, and they just wrote a different date on top of the sticker and sold it to me. I felt very deceived, and when asked for a refund, they said to contact the manufacturer even it was them who sold it to me. Please check the expiration dates from these fraudster sellers. I recommend avoiding them instead

You will wait a long time for the doctor to see you for 2 minutes and pay a lot with all of your questions unanswered.I went in for a full body cancer screening which only took them 3 minutes... The doctor asked me Why I was there?? when he first walked in and didnt make me less worried about anything ( I was there because I already had a smaller mole removed that was pre-cancerous). Its like he almost forgot that I was there to remove more moles and not for him to sell me Botox. My primary care doctor informed me recently that she has stopped referring her patients to this office.

I switched from another highly rated dermatologist in the area because it always felt like they were more interested in selling products and anesthetic services. Dr. Burns was recommended by a friend and Im very pleased with my initial visit. She took her time, answered all of my questions and concerns and Id highly recommend her.

The staff is always friendly and Taylor is great at making sure that you feel at ease.

Other reviews have said this too, so dont say you werent warned. Even extremely minor cosmetic mole removal is going to be crazy expensive with these guys. Sure, their work is good, but slicing off a mole and cauterizing it is NOT rocket science. Be prepared that:1. They will not tell you the cost of ANYTHING up front2. Youll get a bunch of incomprehensible charges for things you didnt want, like tissue analysis, which your insurance didnt cover3. NINE months later, theyll review your bill, determine they didnt charge you enough the first time and send a new bill for the same services. YES, THIS HAPPENED TO ME.Good luck with Forefront. I wont be going back.

Went in for a consultation on a skin concern, which took less than 5 minutes. One month later I received a $300 bill. The doctors may be good but their billing is ridiculous. STAY AWAY from this place or they will make you broke.

I saw Dr. Rupley and she was an absolutely wonderful doctor. She is caring, took time to explain everything, and I was confident I was getting excellent care. I recommend her highly. The reason I am giving 3 stars is because of the practice itself -- even after insurance (I have pretty good insurance) my bill was over $800 for office visit and mole removal. To me, this price is exorbitant. It was also a surprise bill. The billing department was unable to provide any help lowering the payment amount. I recommend Dr. Rupley but this billing is very frustrating to deal with.

I’ve had severe acne for so long on my back and face (Even after accutane I still had terrible break outs). After a month of seeing Dr. Rupley, my acne was under control. She is so friendly and helpful prescribing me great products that really helped.Kristi on the Aesthetics side is amazing too! After 3 chemical peels my acne scars were visibly lighter. She is so friendly and remembered who I was each visit.I cannot thank PD enough for curing my acne when numerous other dermatologists could not.

New patient, I didnt know what to expect. Setting was very professional. Dr Carter was clear, concise, respectful, helpful: made us feel like we were getting the attention we needed. He answered all our initial concerns, developed a plan of care / treatment which seemed appropriate to the situation. He answered a couple of related concerns in the same area and we have a plan for that too. He recognized my wifes experience as a retired RN and considered that immediately in addressing her (and by extension, us) at an appropriate level. A very productive first encounter. Ive been really happy with my recent visits to Perimeter/Forefront Dermatology. I was overdue for a full body scan and Taylor (PA-C), as always, was so informative and educational about my concerns and treatment options. I ended up booking a Vi Peel for the melasma I have on my face. Sadly, due to a storm the power was out in the building when I showed for my 8am appt, but Ashley at the front office was incredible with her communication throughout the day. She went above and beyond to work with Cady and Kristi to get me rescheduled promptly. I had my Vi Peel with Cady--she is the best Aesthetician Ive ever had. She has a wonderful chairside manner and excellent communication. I actually needed a revision peel, and she was awesome in facilitating it. It is clear she is passionate about what she does and cares about her patients. I look forward to tackling my next problem area with IPL on my sun damaged chest in the new year. I’m incredibly happy with this practice!

I made an appointment with Dr. Burns about two very small bumps on my face.After signing some paperwork and 30+ minutes wait, Dr. Burns saw me and toldme that the bumps could be removed but might leave scars. I told her that I wouldnot mind. She then called her assistants in and started removing them. I was notprepared for a procedure on that day so I asked her how long it would take. Shetold me five minutes. I did not ask more because these five minutes would save meanother visit. But I was a bit concerned about the cost of the procedure so I askedthe front desk when I checked out. I was told I only owed copay for the visit.A month later, I received a bill for the lab test of the removed tissue, $170 after insurance.I called them asking why I was not told about the cost beforehand. They told me thatthe doctor ordered the test to check if it is cancer. They also told me that there is anotherbill for the procedure $240 after insurance. I told them that I was not told about this chargeas well and I did not ask to do the procedure on the same day.The representative told me that the fact that I did not stop the doctor to do theprocedure was my consent. I was astonished to hear this argument so I talked to her supervisor.The supervisor told me that I indeed signed a consent form that allows the doctor to do thatprocedure — it was one of the paperwork that I signed before seeing the doctor.I really do not recall signing such a form unless the consent is hidden and the front desk certainlydid not tell me that one of them was a consent form.In summary, Dr. Burns did a 5-minute surgery removed two bumps on my face. I was happy withmy face but upset about the $400+ bill. In particular, I do not like the fact that they did not informme about the expenses and ask me for a verbal consent before the surgery.

Great doctors but terribly mis managed office. Second time this year made to wait way to long in a very crowded waiting room. Very bad. If i were elderly i would have never walked in the room. Just not very respectful of other peoples time

Dr. burns is knowledgable, professional and personable. I have seen her numerous years for full body scans. She diagnosed my skin cancer and sent me to an excellent surgeon.

Edit- they asked me to email them and I did without a reply back.Went to get a dermatofibroma fixed and was left with atrophy and discoloration. My leg looks worse than it did when I started and Im out almost 400 dollars. Went back for a check up to pay 150 dollars for them to say just wait for it to get better and prescribed me 80 dollar cream to help with discoloration. Why should I have to spend more money to fix something they did. Asked another doctor and he said it looks like they messed up and it went into my lymphatic system and I need to wait at least 3-6 months to try and fix it then.(Its been five months since my appointment and its still bad and I have a indented leg and the red spot looks worse, I updated pictures)

LONG overdue review! Overall one of the very best medical and skin care practices in Atlanta. Dr. Cox is patient, thorough, extremely smart, and thoughtful. When he enters the room, you have his complete attention and hes fully engaged with you. Hes never rushed, and for his great care, I never minded the wait times. His skin care specialists who are co-located are wonderful, especially Hilary, whom Ive seen for over five years. Im 55 and thank Hilary every time someone says no youre not, youre skin looks so good!. You can be 100% confident they will never over treat you or prescribe a peel thats not right for you or too aggressive. They give you excellent post procedure care instructions, and educate you about sun exposure and hyper pigmentation risks following procedures. Plan well in advance and book your preferred time with Dr. Cox or Dr. Burns, and remember their great skin care department!

High competence with friendly approach and appreciate that they demonstrate that they truly care for patients by taking time to find least cost meds to meet my needs and even provided a discount card for me that reduced medication cost from $45 to $14. Prior to my appointment, someone told me that the dermatologist that they use in East Cobb tended to prescribe unnecessarily expensive medications. My experience was exactly the opposite with Dr Burns. Though Dr Burns is outside East Cobb, it was well worth driving to this office.

For a simple consultation they charged 400$ altogetherAt the time of the consultation I asked if there was anything else to pay. They said no. 2 months later I got another 200$ bill..... FOR A SIMPLE CONSULTATION. OUT OF POCKET.Edit note: got another bill for 100$ another week later... when will they stop??

The front desk fit me into their schedule after I explained I was losing my health insurance in a few weeks, huge relief. I saw Taylor Stone. She was extremely professional but also listened to all of my concerns...which I have quite a few because I have a connective tissue disorder. Great experience. Highly recommend.

The most professional group in town for your skin needs

Hillary Grady Seymore does an amazing job. She is great with kids and adults. My children have seen her for multiple procedures as have I. She is better than any medical aesthetician I have ever seen before. She and Dr. Burns get nothing but my praises. I highly recommend the practice.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cox and his staff for 25 years +. I credit him for keeping my father alive for 10 extra years as my dad was blue eyed and fair and flew open cockpit airplanes and a deep sea fisherman who didnt wear sunscreen. I am also blond and blue eyed and Dr. Cox makes sure Im well checked each time during my appointments. His bed side manner is far surpassed any Doctor Ive been to and his staff as well makes a patient feel like they are cared about and not just a number. This was a return visit to the Esthetic side where previously I had some laser treatments for hair removal and age spots. My charge was the same $195 even though the areas covered were about half.Also, when I made the appointment with Dr. Cox he showed as a Preferred In Network “green” provider on my Aetna insurance. I have met all my out of pocket for In Network.Now I see that his status has changed to the secondary tier. How can that happen in a matter of weeks? They changed their name from Perimeter Dermatology and I asked if his status with insurance companies changed and I was told No.Well, guess what? I would have scheduled with another doctor in the same practice if they had been honest with me.
