This was a new facility for my hyperhidrosis treatment consultation for prior treatment regimen already administered twice (within a six month window of each treatment at a separate facility) and approved as a prescription from my insurance policy’s Aetna Specialty Pharmacy. The staff were very accommodating and very friendly and we were able to schedule the next steps in a reasonably short amount of time. The in-office traffic in and out of the facility was also very efficient and staff as well as patients maintained the ‘safety first’ COVID-19 precautions of wearing a facial protective mask while at the facility. I would definitely recommend Dr. Berghoff (as the specialist I had my actual appointment with). I was able to schedule a last minute, day of, appointment with Dr. Berghoff after having an allergic reaction to a new beauty product and he was wonderful! Have a very bad rash upper thighs. Two others doctors tried to help no luck. Dr. Adar immediately told me what it was and started recommending what to try to help so far its going well.

The exam is thorough and everything is explained in an easy to understand manner. Followup instructions are also easy to follow and implement. Dr. Berghoff was very pleasant. Had great bedside manners. He was wonderful with seeing my 1yr old daughter. He was patient with her. Shes a curious little person so she moves alot and he was able to step in her world long enough to get her attention so he could examine her. He saw us together and i didnt feel rush. Love it definitely returning.

Edit: I removed two stars because of the experience I had with the billing department. I was a self-pay customer and had called ahead to verify the cost of the office visit ($100 — no tests or anything — just a brief exam). I was charged $100 at the time of the visit, as expected. But then later that month, I got a bill for $40. Apparently, the doc or the office (don’t know who) decided to upcode me (a common practice to get more money from insurance companies), even though I was self-pay. When I spoke to the billing manager, she went around and around with me, feeding me some ridiculous BS about how the “number of symptoms” a patient is having can increase the cost of the visit, even if the doctor does not run any tests or do anything other than a brief exam and discussion. Having several medical professionals in my family, I knew to call her on it, and they finally dropped the $40 charge. But moral of the story: SELF-PAY folks beware! The billing department here will upcode you, too!(ORIGINAL)I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Berghoff. He spoke TO me, as opposed to AT me, answered every question I had, listened to my concerns, and walked me through his proposed therapeutic plan.

I had a cyst removed near my scar from thyroid removal. My surgery went well. Very little pain, healing was great and then the new scar began to itch with pain, very irritating and the beginning of a large ugly scar. I am at the moment under Dr. Berghoff’s care to treat and hopefully remove this ugly addition to my neck area.

Although I was very pleased with the work performed by Dr. Berghoff and his assistant Davis, I was highly displeased with the bills that ensued. I ended up paying almost $500 for an unnecessary biopsy when all I wanted was a simple wart removal, which they quoted at $100.
