I can’t remember the receptionist name but she was hilarious! Made my first time at a dermatologist a breeze! Emily was FANTASTIC. She was kind, gentle and knowledgeable! She also gave me some good tips to get my medicine a little cheaper. I’ll definitely be coming back to her if I need work done. I was the last appt of the day but I didn’t feel like she was out of energy. I didn’t have insurance and they didn’t act all funny on me. They treated me like they appreciated my business and I appreciate that!! It’s only been a few days and my skin issue is dissipating! Thanks again Emily!

Dermatology affiliates is the BEST doctors office I’ve ever been to. The people are personable, the doctors are knowledgeable, patient and thorough and the follow up is incredible. I wish every office had the same clear communication! I have seen Dr Clay at DA for 5 years and i would recommend her to anyone. If you need a dermatologist, this is the place to go!

Dr. Adam Carter and his team are awesome. They really care about their patients, and dont treat them like customers. I really appreciate that. I hope I dont have to go back, but I know Ill be in good hands if I do!

Would not recommend. Not understanding to their patients. After I called the scheduling department to let them know I would be about 5-10 minutes late due to traffic, I was told that my appointment should be fine. Upon arriving the lady at the front desk said my patient profile wasn’t filled out completely which I didn’t realize, obviously never having been here before. But I let her know that I did fill out something which I believed to be correct. After I figure out what else was needed in the patient portal, I’m told that my appointment is cancelled and there’s nothing I could do, or any way to be seen. After I repeatedly told them that I wasn’t aware of any policy that automatically cancels your appointment after 10 minutes, or failure to fill out the profile completely, they were not understanding at all. Not sure if this is specific to Dr. Tiffany Clay, or the office but definitely disappointing to me that I specifically came here for her, a black doctor, and then to be turned away.

Dr. Forney is the best dermatologist. Her staff is amazing. A nurse gave me a Good RX coupon with my prescription that saved me a substantial amount when I picked it up. I did a skin treatment that had no down time and I look and feel noticeably better.

My third and last visit with this clinic. I’m sure we all are experiencing Covid fatigue. Lives have changed and one would hope that our attitudes would have become kinder. Everything about this visit today went south. I’m not getting into details I’ll only say if your seeking, time , clarity, and compassion with your Dr. you may want to look elsewhere.

I do not recommend coming here for treatment. They are not very understanding of their patients when it comes to arriving on time for their appointments. I scheduled an appointment for today at 4:10pm. As a potentially new patient, I used this address to get to the destination coming directly from work (it would’ve been a 4 minute drive). When I got there at 3:45, I pulled on the doors, the doors were locked. There was a note on the door stating that they had moved to a new location. So I typed the new location on my gps drove to the new location, just to find out they were not located there. Then I called the number, a receptionist informed me that they were at the first location I was at, but they were in the back of the building. So I drove all the way back to the first location. I explained my frustrations to the front desk receptionist & the nurses replied I would have to reschedule. Really an inconvenience for me as a first time patient, I would’ve thought they would be a little bit more understanding of my confusion but they weren’t. I will not be back.

I saw Dr. Clay for my first appointment at the Buckhead location. Oddly setup office, you have to then take a picture with your Covid info to get “checked” in. Then you have to carry a sign to your seat and place it in the seat so that they know it is dirty, although the office is empty. As I have some concerns around my skin, I was under the impression that Dr. Clays nurse Treva and also Dr.Clay would be a little more insightful and would actually look at my skin. This was not the case.I must say Dr.Clay and her nurse made me completely uncomfortable. As I completely understand the guidelines around wearing a mask I do not need to be talked down to in your office. I pulled the mask just slightly below my nose with my mouth still covered (so that I could show them my problem area) however, the comment I received was “we don’t take mask off” and the nurse was also unpleasant. All the while I wasn’t even taking my mask off.On top of having limited interaction with individuals, I have also been vaccinated and I understand Dr.Clay taking these precautions as coronavirus is still prevalent. However If you are just going to glance at patients skin and just have them explain everything to you instead of actively looking at it, your time, nerves AND the patients time can be saved by just doing virtual appointments as clearly you are not comfortable at all seeing patients in person.I am all about good vibes and feeling comfortable in offices and I did not get that here, I will NEVER go back to this establishment. I am also all about safety but if your this uncomfortable seeing patients in person while you’re pregnant just do everyone a favor and go virtual.

Dr Emily was super sweet and accommodating, I saw her for a rash on my eyelid. Excellent virtual bedside manner. Just an all around excellent experience! Thank you!!

Dr Clay and the staff at Dermatology Affiliates (Buckhead), helped to feel at ease and listened to my concerns, during the height of the covid-19 pandemic, allowing me to feel secure to openly discuss my issue. They exceeded my expectations, and they were super fast at competent providing care in a friendly & professional manner. This is why I love living in Atlanta.

Find somewhere else to go. Two days later and they still havent sent my prescription to the pharmacy. The whole experience was bizarre. They charge you $68 even if you arent supposed to have co-pay. I had noted two issues I wanted checked and the nurse told me those are time intensive so we can only do one. Three minutes later the appointment was over - time intensive, huh? Now I cant get ahold of anybody to get my prescription sent.

Quick and painless intake experience. Staff was knowledgeable, informative and happy to answer any questions. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I’ve been seeing Emily Didrick, PA for over a year and can say she is a great dermatologist! She is always cheerful, attentive, and recommends products that work for my skin type. When I visit I feel like the entire staff is respectful of my time and attentive to my concerns. Emily guided me through Accutane and helped me deal with cystic acne. She’s also helped get me on a regular skin check cycle and taken care of several mole removals. She always does a fantastic job. For my more serious surgery I’ve seen Dr. Forney and was equally impressed with her attentiveness to my concerns and friendliness. I definitely feel at ease when I visit the Buckhead practice. I recently had an excision done by Dr. Forney and am amazed with how well it has healed and how clean/straight and unnoticeable the scar is from the surgery. I highly recommend this office and feel really comfortable in the care of Emily and Dr. Forney.

Be careful. I have been with this practice for years, but my visit in July 2020 changed the landscape of my life and for the worse.I cannot tolerate hand sanitizer because of a corn intolerance. Hand sanitizer is made of alcohol, which is made from corn. The receptionist insisted I allow her to apply a generous amount of hand sanitizer to my hands. I countered that I would put on the new gloves I had with me and showed her those. She refused. She refused to allow me to have the sanitizer put on the gloves. She said the policy was Dr. Forneys, who would not allow me to see a physician unless I allowed the application of the sanitizer. I had had part of a tick removed from my leg the day before, was worried about Lyme disease, and needed to have the rest of the tick removed that day.The sanitizer was applied. By the time I got to a treatment room and was able to wash it off it was too late. That evening my joints, especially my hands, became swollen and started to hurt, and the constant pain and resulting deformity has not stopped. What was once a case of regular, unexciting osteoarthritis turned overnight into inflammatory arthritis. My orthopedists say I will now need surgery on all eight fingers. And I cannot begin the surgeries until I am clear of the corn intolerance, since corn derivatives are present in surgeries as washes, in injections, and in some of the prosthetics themselves.Pictures of my fingers and the most recent x-rays are attached. The finger deformity is worse now than what is shown in the x-rays; it worsens with time. If you want to run the risk of being in pain and having deformities for the rest of your life, by all means use this practice.

Yesterday was my second visit at Dermatology Affiliates and I’m still blown away by how caring the staff, clinicians and doctors are. They explain all procedures, lab results and aftercare in great detail so I feel confident in the care I’m getting. I also appreciate that they tend to lean towards the side of precaution rather than risking anything. I had gone to a dermatologist a few months prior to my visit with dermatology affiliates, where I was told there was no need to biopsy a mole that looked somewhat abnormal. Then upon my first visit at dermatology affiliates, for an appointment unrelated to the mole, Dr. Clay showed concern and asked if she could biopsy that same abnormal mole that another doctor had told me not to worry about. It made me feel confident in her ability to assess and prioritize my health. I had the mole biopsied for a second time yesterday with a PA named Emily who was very friendly and quick with the minor procedure. The medical assistants are also very knowledgable and really support you through the visit. Overall, the staff at Dermatology Affiliates are experts in their field and I recommend anyone looking for healthcare providers that go above and beyond to visit their Buckhead clinic.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a medical office. Dr. Rutledge Forney was borderline rude to me, cut me off while I was asking her questions, and looked exasperated. I came here for 2 skin concerns but she told me I could only talk to her about one of them. They left a voicemail to tell me they lost my blood work. Came back in to get my blood drawn again and they tried to charge me for another office visit. I do not recommend this place nor will I ever go back here again!

From the original booking of the appointment, to the actual visit with the doctor; I was disappointed. When I booked the appointment, I explained there were a number of issues I wanted the doctor to review. However, when I did the online paperwork; I noticed only one issue listed as the reason for the visit and it was the issue that LEAST concerned me. I wasnt surprised the wrong thing was listed considering the individual who booked the appointment was not helpful (this was my first dermatologist visit in life) and was borderline rude.Since Dr. Clay came highly recommended from my primary care physician, I ignored the red flags and continued with the scheduled appointment. The check-in process was efficiently quick and the wait time minimal; this was the best thing about my ENTIRE visit.The PA verified that I was there in regards to a rash and I corrected her and explained all the reasons I was actually there. She then advised she would need to check with the doctor to see if my concerns could be addressed.The doctor did address most of my issues by rushing through explanations, providing erroneous referrals, and a prescription. When I asked the doctor to address the main issue I came for (acne), she advised that was a longer appointment and could not be addressed today. Dr. Clay explained because of how my appointment was coded when it was scheduled, the appointment time allotted was not very long.This was very frustrating for me considering when I called to book the appointment I expressed the numerous reasons I wanted to see a dermatologist. I guess they chose the one they felt was most convenient for their scheduling.Overall I did not get the sense that Dr. Clay was concerned that my appointment was improperly coded. Nor did I feel she was concerned about me as a patient or my dermatological health. Hopefully the prescription provided will work (assuming I was diagnosed correctly for such a short visit and minimal examination).I was told to follow up in a month. I will not be returning to that practice. Instead I will be doing my due diligence to find a dermatologist that actually cares about patient health.

The lady at the front desk was very very rude and disrespectful. There was no one sitting at the lobby and my sister and i had a mask on but she explained that we could not sit in the lobby. I have been to dermatology affiliates in midtown and my sister was allowed to wait anytime she follows me. I know there is a pandemic going on but please don’t be disrespectful about it. I also wanted to reschedule and she was having an attitude about it too. I just don’t want to return there ever again

50 dollar copay was charged on intake, and then I still had to pay a copay to my insurance company. They sent my biopsy to a pathologist that was out of network, leading to even more bills. Finally I never received the biopsy results, just a message from the MA saying that there was nothing to worry about. That’s fine, but I’d like to have the results for my own records. I was told I’d have to come into the office to get them. Not impressed, but this may just be the reality of our fragmented and money oriented healthcare system. I did like Dr. Clay, but I probably won’t be coming back.

They have a really nicely organized practice with a critical mass of providers to accommodate “emergency” visits as well as the day to day business. Dr. Cynthia Abbott has proven highly competent and I feel well-attended-to and can vouch that she both listens AND informs. I am pleased with DA, and don’t intend to shop around when I’ve got it good right where I am.

I had an appointment at Dermatology Affiliates Buckhead and it was the worst medical office experience that I have ever had. When I spoke to someone to schedule the appointment I was very clear with what I was coming in for- I hadnt been to a dermatologist in years and wanted to make sure my skin was healthy and find some products recommended by a certified dermatologist. No one mentioned this would be a problem. When I arrived the nurse let me know that there would be a $150 cosmetic consultation fee to see the Dr. or they could schedule a time for me to see an esthetician. My questions and concerns were not worthy of seeing an actual Dr. I said I wanted to see a medical professional which everyone in the office seemed to be annoyed that I came to the dermatologist to see an actual dermatologist. When I did see Dr. Clay I was informed that she -could not tell me what kind of skin I had- That I had to inform her. This wouldnt have been such an egregious statement had she actually looked at my skin. I was never even asked to sit in the exam chair. She said that since I had tinted lotion on it was hard to see my skin and couldnt really tell what was going on. So for $150 I was given the earth shattering advice to wear sunscreen. I cannot put into words how disappointed I am in the experience I had at Dermatology Affiliates in Buckhead. Wanting healthy skin is not abnormal and your patients should not be treated like it is an inconvenience to be seen by a medical professional.

I saw Dr. Clay for hair loss. I waited 30 minutes for her and she saw me only for 6 minutes before vanishing away. I waited long time just for her to tell me things I have already found online. I was hoping they would do more thorough examination of my hair follicles but nope. My university doctor was more helpful than she was.

The front desk lady was very rude. If I didn’t love my doctor, I would’ve walked out of the office. It’s a shame that she feels she has to be so rude.

I am a 19 year patient of Dr Forney and I made a desperate attempt to walk in without an appointment on Friday 11/15 as I was suffering from a severe allergic reaction. My entire body was covered in a raised rash and my skin was on fire. I was in so much pain I literally couldn’t sleep the night before. I was seen immediately and treated for my illness with care and so much kindness. By 5 pm that day I was 95% cured. By Saturday 100%. This is amazing due to my PCP and Urgent Care prescribed medication to me for over a week that did not work. I am enormously grateful for the expertise of the staff and doctors who assisted me.

Had several concerns about my skin . Seen dr clay and she really didn’t care about my problems. Was very nonchalant about everything I was explaining. Maybe I should try someone else . But she has the attitude like a person who doesn’t care about the or skin but cares about her own skin

I see Dr. Clay and she is amazing. Since I’ve been going to her my face has cleared up tremendously. She took the time to learn my skin and gave me the appropriate medication to ease my acne. I’ve been to numerous dermatologist in the years but none that I could stick with. I’m so thankful that I found her.

I’m dealing with lots of age spots from sun damage, it’s a necessary nuisance to deal with, but Dr Fornay and her staff make it as much a breeze as possible. I check in, barely sit, get called back, tell the assistant where I want to address the issue, Sr Forney comes in immediately, deals with them painlessly, reception has all the paperwork seconds from completion when I walk up, and just like that I’m on my way......total time, probably less than 10-15 minutes!

I did not wait for a long time when I came in to be seen, however it has been very hard to get them to send my prescription to the right pharmacy. Hope the medications work!

Wonderful staff! I went to the Marietta office instead of the Buckhead office by mistake. The receptionist made me a later appointment giving me enough time to get to Buckhead and put me at ease about the mix up. The Buckhead office followed with the same professional and friendly atmosphere. The visit was timely and Dr. Clay was extremely knowledgeable and patient.

I saw Dr. Clay for my eczema two weeks ago. She is very nice but the experience after my visit has been horrible. The prescription they called into a mail order pharmacy never arrived, I called them three times and still no script. I finally asked the office to send a script for something different to my CVS and they sent it to another mail order pharmacy which wont fill it for 2 more weeks. I am unsure what kind of kick backs they are getting from these mail order pharmacies, but they obviously care more about that then they do about their patients. I would not recommend seeing anyone at this practice unless you want to wait weeks for a solution to your problem.

Steer clear of Dr. Clay. She was late, very disrespectful and clearly annoyed with my questions. When I tried to share more about my condition and what had happened, she became even more annoyed. I felt like a child being scolded. Colleagues had recommended this practice so maybe the other physicians are better. The nurse Ilinda was very kind

I did not like the link with ZocDoc, so I called over the phone to make a same day appointment as a new patient and it was much easier. The staff is friendly and Dr. Choi was happy to answer any questions and informative with her response.

I should’ve checked the reviews first! Do not come here! I had an appointment at 1130am, arrived at 1126am, completed the new patient portal information, and then was advised at 1148 that I would not be seen until they returned from lunch at 1230pm! Absolutely unacceptable!

I recently visited Dermatology Affiliates for a body scan and I have to say I had a disappointing experience. First, I found something atypical that my doctor did not catch. Second, I felt like I has having product pushed during my exam (Botox, filler, etc... which was not the reason for my visit) and third, I had to commit to payment without having a quote or range of how much I could expect to pay. Im posting this review because I wish I had known this beforehand.

I highly recommend Dr. Clay. She is professional and knowledgeable and has successfully assisted me with my dermatological needs - both medical and cosmetic.

I have been getting facials with Clarie for a few years now and my skin looks AMAZING!!! She truly is one of the best estheticians around. She is very knowledgeable about all skin types and knows what will work best for your skin. Clarie is very professional and sweet. I have seen the doctors and PAs as well everyone is amazing. The office staff is always super friendly as well

Dr. Clay made my daughter who’s 11 feel very relaxed and comfortable at her first visit. Dr. Clay was very personable and I like that she talked directly to my daughter.

It was quick and informative. The doctor and her assistant were kind and gave me plenty of samples to hold me over till my prescribed items are mailed.

Dr. Forney and her staff are absolutely amazing!! I’ve been coming to see Dr. Forney for 15 years, and she has helped me deal with every skin issue I’ve encountered along the way. I plan on seeing Dr. Forney forever!
