This was my 6 year old daughters first time every needing anything done to her teeth, past a regular cleaning. The Assistants and the Doctor were beyond amazing. My daughter had work done (was scared about it), but the Assistant showed her everything that was going to be used, what she would hear, what they would do.. my daughter sat perfectly thru it. I was shocked. I couldnt be more happy to find an incredible Dentist and Office for my daughter.

Can I just say that I LOVE this dentistry!! I took my daughter here for a second opinion and I felt soo relieved by their options and care. My husband has gone here since childhood, I wish I took my daughter here sooner!

I have no words that can express my gratitude for the wonderful team here!Our daughter Johanna, has expressive communication barriers and was pushed from clinic to clinic for two years! Not one practice wanted to expedite treatment for our normally happy daughter. Her dental problem became so bad, she would cry and scream day and night. She had lost 18 pounds unintentionally and about two years of schooling. Dr Barber went above and beyond to help her. She even called us from home when the clinic was without power from recent severe storms as were were hitting a crisis point!She is definately a powerful special needs advocate. I would like to give Dr Harry Miller, her Pediatric Anesthesiologist and am giving him big virtual hug as well. After trial and error of several different dentists, we thankfully found Blossom and we will not be going anywhere else. They listened to us, cared for my daughter who has some speech delays and were able to quickly get the correct appointments scheduled with ease. Im thankful for the doctors there and will be taking my second child when he grows up. I left with a huge feeling of relief and Im just beyond grateful for the experiences from our first appointment. 10/10 recommend

This Tuesday my son gets his braces removed, this company has been a blessing, taking a kid with extreme amounts of anxiety after only a few visits they made him feel safe and secure. The staff at the office are fantastic. If you live close to the area, I would highly recommend.

Every appointment exceeds my expectations! We just were in for my 3.5yr old and they were so calm and patient it blew me away. This appointment was more in depth, and they actually were able to scrape tartar, and clean with the adult tools because they take the time to let your kid relax. Highly recommend!

Lots of clear communication about what to expect on our first visit and a clear treatment plan going forward. Our 6 yr old son also loved watching TV during his visit and wearing special glasses. He felt very special!

From routine cleanings to after hours emergencies, the docs are always courteous, safe, kind to my kids and to me. Ive been extremely pleased with my daughters experience at Blossom. They have been consistent with their covid protocols which makes us feel safer. All of the staff are kind and extremely patient with my daughter. They are seasoned in caring for children and it definitely shows. Dr. Barber and the rest of the staff do a great job at explaining things and making my daughter feel very comfortable. She is starting to get excited about going to the dentist which is nice.

For some reason my 6yr old sons baby teeth wouldnt come out before his adult teeth fully grew in. He needed to have them pulled and I was a nervous wreck!! Prior to today, Ive never been in the back and always let my kiddos go alone but today I wanted to support my son while he had his teeth pulled!Long story short- we were there for 30mins, and I wanted to hug those ladies when it was over. Its so nice and kid friendly back there and my son never knew there was a HUGE needle stuck in his gums!😳I soooooo appreciate the staff and I am confident that my kids are in good hands for every service

Everyone was very friendly. They noticed that my daughter was starting to get a cavity and before it got worse they filled it. Before they did anything they explained to her what each tool would sound and feel like and made sure she was comfortable. My daughter was so excited and already wants to go back.

This was an amazing experience. The office is really cute, and engaged my kiddo, which was nice. The dentist was really patient, and really fast. Our five year old received some fillings, and they were done with the entire process in 20 minutes. I am super grateful!

I felt compelled to write this review because I had such a hard time finding a good pediatric dentist for my child. We had such a great experience at this office. My daughter is 5 years old and has already had to undergo a lot of dental work. We recently changed to this office due to insurance purposes and I am so happy we did. I felt well informed and my daughter was at ease with Dr. Justema, Dr. Barber, and all of the staff at the office. She is no longer afraid of the dentist and was terrified to go after previous experiences that she had very similar procedures done. I will never take her anywhere else. My daughter has been coming here since she was a toddler. She is now a pre-teen and is about to have her braces removed. We love the staff here, on both the dental and the orthodontic office side!!! Everybody here is so caring, and sweet. You will without a doubt feel like your child is with family.

My daughter Quinn had an amazing experience at Blossom! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. She wasn’t very cooperative but that didn’t phase the hygienist or doctor at all. They were so wonderful with her!

We felt comfortable with staff and atmosphere. They listened to my concerns and addressed all my worries for my sons procedure. They made my son and I feel super secure in their office. The staff as a whole displayed themselves as a fantastic TEAM! What I loved the most is their attention to detail and the small things they did to make my son feel safe. Not sure who’s Medela bottle I saw as I quickly glanced into an office but I want to give that mom a huge high five and 500 golden stars for being a working mom and pumping. Keep up all the good work at this office! As much as I want to say See you next time, I hope we don’t need any visits 😂 but I’f we do I know where I’ll be going again.

Our experience in the office and with the providers was great. The problem arose when we received a surprise bill for routine, preventative dental care. Despite my due diligence to make sure they were listed as in network providers on my dental plan, apparently at some point they withdrew from the plan and were no longer considered in network. We were never notified of this, including on the day of the appointment when they verified the insurance card and had us sign the paperwork. Since my original post, the office reached out to me - which I appreciate — and offered a discount for the trouble. I have since updated the review. However - I advise everyone to be sure to double check your insurance plan is accepted and you understand whether the office is consider i -network or not, in order to avoid any surprises!

We love Blossom Pediatric Dentistry! I have twin 11 year old boys, who have had previous major anxiety about the dentist. Not with Dr. Barber. She has an amazing bedside manner, that puts my children at ease. She’s very quick and efficient, and her sweet and friendly personality is a pleasure to be around. Her office is beautiful, the staff are great, and her dental assistants are wonderful. I feel like we’ve won the dental lottery! Highly recommend! 5 stars!

Dr. Barber and her team are amazing! I bring All four of my children to her. She’s located in Ann Arbor and we reside In Jackson, Michigan... It’s about a 45 min drive and if she were any further, she’d still be worth the drive. I’ve had terrible experiences with other doctors but Dr. Barber is patient and carries a gentle spirit... My kids love her, she’s done amazing things to protect my children’s teeth!!

We would recommend Blossom to any parents, especially for kiddos with anxiety. Maxie and Laura are great at taking the time to describe the tools they use, how things will feel/taste and how long it will take. They kindly listen to our kiddos, remember small preferences from visit to visit and don’t mind if we hold our kid’s hand if they need it. A recent visit for dental sealants went smoothly with Dr. Justema calmly giving a step by step plan of what comes next and gently reminding our kiddo to take deep breaths when the worries crept up. The staff at Blossom have gone above and beyond for us, making our visits positive experiences. We feel pretty lucky to have found such caring, skilled professionals.

Blossom Pediatric Dentistry has been so kind and compassionate towards my three year old. The first visit with Dr. Barber was calm and took place in a comforting environment, which put my child at ease. For the second visit, my child had his teeth cleaned by Maxie and she allowed him to select his own flavors of toothpaste and fluoride, and also experiment with the apparatuses in the room, to further his comfort with unfamiliar surroundings. Sunglasses were provided to shield his eyes from the overhead light, and he’s still wearing them today. Maxie and Dr. Barber answered all of my dental questions regarding my child. From the welcoming lobby with toys and a digital fish tank, to the fresh new exam rooms, my child’s experience was extremely positive.

We had an amazing experience at our first visit at Blossom Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. Dr. Barber and her entire staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent with children. The environment is impeccably clean, and the waiting room is filled with toys and books to entertain the children while waiting. We were called back for our appointments on schedule, and the hygienists worked efficiently and thoroughly. I was concerned before my children’s appointments because they have a long history with severe reflux and mouth sensitivity issues. All of my concerns were put to rest, however, thanks to the excellent care we received from Dr. Barber and her staff. I would highly recommend Blossom Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics to anyone!

I have followed Dr. Barber since she was at U of M. She has taken care of my childrens dental needs since they were babies. My twins are now seven. I would refer her first before anyone else. I LOVE Dr. Barber! I brought my son for his first dental cleaning and Dr. Barber was so patient with him. She was friendly and kind and most importantly very informative! Good dentisty

I have 4 kids (age 6-13) and they have all been seeing Dr. Barber for several years now, with a routine cleaning every 6 months. We lucked into AADS after moving and needing a new dentist, and they took our insurance. I have never had any issues scheduling cleanings for all 4 kids in one go every 6 months, or getting kids back in for fillings/sealants at my convenience. Ive never had a problem with insurance claims. I have never experienced a frustrating wait there, so they must stay on schedule. The staff is friendly, great with young kids, and has methods that help cut down on anxiety while getting done what needs to be done. One of my kids had to have a 2 teeth extracted for orthodontic reasons, and the procedure was designed to help her feel calm and it went very well. Dr. Barber is professional and kind, and always gives me a report after the appointments about follow up care and suggestions to get the kids to take better care of their teeth. Im very glad we found this practice. I highly recommend it.

I love this dentist office. My kids have gone for years. Ill be sad when they outgrow Dr Barber. They also are very kind to special needs kids & young adults & take special care to attend to their individual needs.

Update 2: Now that Im allowed to go in with her, my daughter is not nearly as afraid to go here. She really likes Dr. Barber who has been super patient, informative and kind. She explains to my daughter everything before she does it so shes a lot more calm about things. Totally turned around my opinion. I highly recommend her.Update: Ive updated to add a couple stars since Ireceived a call from the other dentist here, Dr. Barber, who was willing to allow me to go into the office with my daughter. They called me and set up an appointment to have her treated. Staff has been professional and kind. Im looking forward to the next appointment where I hope the work is as good as their follow-up.--------------------------------------------------One star is for the staff behind the desks, they were kind and clearly wanting to provide a good service to their patients.The hygienist was nice to my child, although a bit rude with me (see below about irritation with my question). Maybe it was just a bad day for her, however....They do not allow you to go in with your child for any of the procedures and they did not make this clear ahead of time. My child is just 4 years old. After I was waiting in the waiting room 45 min for my daughter to get cleaning and x-rays. She came out visibly upset and tear stained. I told them that she probably wouldnt have been so upset/scared if I had been allowed to be there with her and asked if I could be with her next time for work she needed. The answer was absolutely not. Responses to my question were meet with irritation.My understanding is that perhaps other dentists here are flexible with that rule but Dr.Clark is not.As it is, my kid didnt like this dentist, and since I wasnt with her, I cant help her understand what it was that she may not have liked.So we will definitely not be going back.

We recently adopted our 7-year-old daughter from China. She had never seen a dentist and had a lot of black holes in her teeth. We were worried that she would be very afraid of a dentist and that getting her mouth healthy would be difficult. Dr. Barber and her team have done an amazing job of taking care of our daughter and getting her teeth and gums healthy. Our daughter goes to every appointment smiling and comes out smiling too! I am amazed by how efficient and quick Dr. Barber and her team are!! I highly recommend them.

Im going to admit that my childs first appointment I forgot the date and had to reschedule but I had a appointment for this morning for my 4 yr old daughter and 5 year old son. Last night I was up till about 3:30am with my daughter that was projectile vomiting! And my son has runny nose cough and diarrhea. I called to let them know that obviously they wonte be able to make it. She had a additude with me and told me Dr.Barber said she will not reschedule there appointments because it took a nice chunk of there time NEVER once did they care about my children getting or feeling better! Do not take your children here! They dont care about children! Obviously just money and if there time is waisted. I should have still brought my kids in and let my daughter puke in there face! Im very upset when it comes to my kids! And you call yourself a pediatric dental specialist???? You should not be able to work or care for children! It wasnt about another appointment for me! It was about the health and well being of my children! Which your supposed to specialized in!!!! My children will be fine and cared for because of me. If it had anything to do with Dr.Barber and her crew! They would only care if it took a chunk of there time
