Found this place on Groupon. I scheduled an appointment and she told me NOT to buy the Groupon and that she would honor it in store. This was a flat out lie. I wanted a TRIM and partial highlights which was a deal the Groupon had for about $44. I got there and she immediately started HACKING my hair as soon as I sat down and didn’t even bother washing it first. She didn’t use a comb or anything. She would just pick up chunks of my hair and cut them vigorously like she was in a rush. When we get to doing the highlights, she doesn’t ask me what color I wanted and in the middle of doing the highlights decides to tell me that since my hair is long it’ll now cost more. My hair was only a few inches past my shoulders. As she did the highlights she decides to tell me that she added more highlights (without my permission) because the partial doesn’t look good and that it’ll now cost $75. I never asked her to put more highlights in but she already did them so I just had to let her finish.. She ripped the foils out of my hair and when I said it hurt she said “No pain no gain”. When I go to pay she won’t stop pushing products. I said no thank you and she didn’t care. She just kept telling me I need this hair oil so I just bought it for $20. The total comes to $113 and she then tries forcing me to write a 5 star review. The highlights look misplaced and horrible. She ruined my haircut so bad and I’ve been crying for days at how horrible it is. I’m so devastated. I had to get my hair fixed and it’s so short now.

Avoid this business. Bait and switch. Had many signs for $7.99 haircuts. My wife and I came in and told the woman, who claimed to be the hair doctor, and we got our cut. Then she charged us $55.00. I asked why, and she claimed she used a brush. WHAT? It cost us another $20.00 a piece for a brush. Then she kept referring to herself in every sentence as the hair Doctor, and after the 20th time it became real weird. Then she pressured us in to buying something. Then kept telling us about the new restaurant next door, as if she gets a commission. We are never going back. I would not recommend this place. Go somewhere else.

I totally agree with the review before. I found this place on Groupon expecting to pay $70 then ended up being pressured into paying $200+. Not only did I end up spending WAY over my budget but the cut and style is nothing of what I asked for. I went in thinking I was going to get lowlights and a layered cut, however the owner insisted that highlights would be a better choice. Those highlights ended up being CHUNKY and OVER-PROCESSED. She also kept saying my hair was too dry and uneven then went on saying she would make me into one of her models. The whole process was super uncomfortable. I paid extra for a conditioning treatment, which was only left in my hair for a matter of seconds; I literally leave my normal conditioner in the shower on longer. Finally, I kept checking in to see if she was doing what I wanted and she assured me of such. However when I got back home and checked out my hair none of what I asked for was true. Im considering getting a box dye to cover up this complete mess.The whole time I felt coerced and deceived by her apparent confidence as a hair style practitioner (not to mention she called herself the hair doctor 🤢) and left feeling so violated. The only positive remark is that she was quite fast, which for some could also be negative.***UPDATED*** I went back for a refund for the services and she honored it. I appreciated her understanding that what she did wasnt okay.

Exactly the haircut I needed at a great price!I spotted the $10 haircut signs and turned around to see if the offer was legit, and it was. For the price Najwa gave me my usual buzz cut, plus she shampooed my hair after and added some moisturiser to handle the dandruff, and during the cut she was quite friendly and eager to chat about my experiences in the Middle East.

Not a good place to go. The owner is manipulative and lies. Desoite having signs that say $9.99 haircuts... For a wash, trim and curl, she charged me $110... my hair is still wet, the curls have fallen out and my hair isnt even clean. After confronting her she offered me $20 from her (tip money) but as I continued she offered me another $10. I couldnt believe the situation I had found myself in. I still ended up paying $90 for a not well done service. Asked for the owners number and she said shed take mine and give it to her, that she was on vacation.... right...

I got a haircut last week and I was told layers would look best so thats what I did. When I straighted my hair I got the equivalent of a botched jack-o-lantern pattern on my hair. There was barely any layers and the cut look horrendous.

I went there years ago when the business was located at Westgate shopping center, the lady was very pushy so I stopped. I knew that my elderly husband went there for his haircut but the last two times I noticed two credit card charges for $265.00 and the most recent ones for about $115.00 I did see him brought home some hair products probably worth $75.00 at the most. I didnt know she charged him so much until I found the credit card charges. 99% of the reviews on google and on Yelp were extremely BAD. My husband usually had cash not less that $100 cash in his wallet and almost always paid for haircut in cash but the last two times it was obvious he didnt have enough cash.I will tell my husband to stop going there because we just cant afford it. Some of you may even ask if this business is legit and so do I, after seeing those big charges on our credit card. I couldnt believe she got him to spend that much money on products that he didnt even like or use. My husband is NOT a high maintenance guy, he applies lotion once every 5 years, that too when I bug him too much about his dry skin.

Falsely advertise hair cut prices and then try to force their products down your throat even when you tell them you’re not interested. One particular stylist goes by hair doctor is the one I felt with and I never plan on going back.

Stop! Do Not Go Here! I should have left when I said I wanted a military officer haircut and she did not know what I was asking for. My haircut looks like a 5 year old found moms scissors and cut my hair. It is butcherer, very uneven, way to high in the front, think side burns starting 2 inches above the ear. Do not go there.

I went because of a Groupon. Najwa was very nice and did exactly what I wanted as well as giving me some tips. Overall much enjoyed.

We showed the hairdresser a picture of what we were hoping for for my daughter and she asked a few questions to be sure she understood right (which I appreciated) and the cut turned out adorable and just like what we wanted. She gave some advice on how to help my daughter’s hair not tangle so much, which I also appreciated.

Pros:Najwa did do an amazing job for my highlights and hair cut. And she was very friendlyCons:I made this appointment solely to use a Groupon for highlights, she told me on the phone she would honor the price (and thus I would not have to purchase the groupon, presumably saving her the conscription fee) , but when I got there she did not honor it and said it’s because I had “ long hair” (in my defense, I had it cut so it really wasn’t that long). I read the groupon fine print thoroughly and didn’t see anything about that. It was a lot of back and forth negotiating starting at 180$!! Ultimately I did use this service because I had already arranged child care for that time. But I walked out paying way more than I expected. Very disheartening. Also she badgered me the entire time to give her five star Google review and that made me extremely uncomfortable

She did a horrible cut on my son and cut his ear, it was bleeding. Sides are uneven, I have to fix it myself. Do not recommend.

Najwa force me to do 5 star review before finishing the job. She did not allow to pick my highlight color, she picked it on her own without asking me. She cut my hAir even I don’t want to and using the excuse that my hair will be healthier and then she damages my hIr after. I had a horrible experience. She acted nice but it was all fake. Then she sold me hair products that are pricely outrageous. I wished I read the reviews before going there. I only saw the review on Groupon, and I know why she had a high review there she was forcing people to do a 5 star review for her. I already purchased my highlights, cut and blow dry on Groupon but I still got charged redicolously high because she said my hair is long but she cut it. I amWarning people not to go to this salon and not to have Najwa touch their hair because she will ruin them. I am so upset right now. ☹️😡😡😡😡

Najwa cut my hair and she even fixed my husband’s hair for free. Very happy! I now have long layers in the back. I came from a place with few hair stylist that have experiences with Asian hair and I’m very happy to find someone who had experience with them!!

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Worst hair experience I have ever had!! If you have long hair beware she will take off too much!! Highlights beware they will not look good!!!Went in the salon for my appointment on August 18, 2020. I walked in the salon hoping to feel a little air conditioning since it has been a hot summer day and I am currently pregnant. To my surprise it definitely didn’t seem like the AC was on at all. Then I looked around as I noticed the woman was not wearing a mask during COVID in addition to how unorganized and dirty the salon looked. I was instantly alarmed and should have walked out at that moment. I decided not to since I was trying to get ready for my maternity pictures that are 6 days away from today... I informed the lady prior to the appointment I saw a Groupon for $69 for a full highlight and cut which the lady advised me to purchase from her directly instead of on Groupon. My hair is very long and I was informed it would be extra due to length. The lady cut off at least 3 inches prior to the highlight even though I informed her I wanted my hair to be kept long. (She showed me about an inch or inch and a half prior to starting the cut and I agreed to that but not double.) When speaking about the highlight I told her I wanted to add in a dark blonde or light brown Carmel color to my already dark brown almost black color. She showed me a dark blonde swatch not quite as Carmel looking as I would have liked, (that I agreed to) but she gave me absolutely no other options. As she was putting the highlights in by foil I was growing concern about the top layer of hair and if she was highlighting enough of it. The lady washed the color out after having me sit under the hot dryer (mind you it was already roasting hot in there without the dryer.) She kept stating how good it looked and all I could think was I hope this turns out better when it is dry. As my original concern was accurate the top layer has three very distinct highlights that are about an inch and a half apart instead of having the top layer blended with many highlights. Plus the color was much lighter than the color swatch she showed me. Definitely not dark blonde, light brown, or Carmel. Then to top it off with she told me the total would be $150 more than double the Groupon price of $69 for my hair being so long. I voiced concern about the price and she insisted that was the owners price and she couldn’t do anything about it as she discounted it for me. Not sure how they can charge MORE than double for someone with long hair!!! Super upset cried as soon as I walked out of the salon with paying what I did for not getting what I want. Now I have 6 days to fix my hair before my maternity shoot! I called and she told me I could come in to have her add a few more highlights, but I don’t even know if I feel comfortable having her do it as she already cut my hair too short, gave me a color I didn’t want, and has the highlights spaced way to far out!! Of course I didn’t read the reviews so I hope someone else does so they don’t have the experience I did!

They do not want the groupon deal,the haircutter told me not. to buy it.then charged me full price for a terrible haircut. I said take off 1 1/2 inchs she took off almost 3.the underlayering was bad,I had to have it recut elsewhere. The haircutter tried to force me to buy over $100 in product.I did buy one item. She tried to force an other appointment on me,which I did make then called and canceled.I would never go back to salon24 it will take close to 3mo for my hair to grow back to a length that can take the style I wanted.

I was here at the industrial drive, Ann Arbor location and a walk in. Najia the haircut dictor, was attending to another customer and yet was very attentive and promised me to give me a cut that I was looking for. I was in a rush and just because of her friendly customer service, I thought I will take her up on it and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised and will come back again. Would rate this salon at a negative number if I could!! First of all, she used a dirty hair filled brush. When I asked for a clean brush she got another hair filled brush out of another drawer. I said I can get my own brush. Second, she is pushy with sales of products I can get else where for less. Third, she did a awful cut on my daughter. I asked for layers and she gave her two layers, one long and then an inch shorter straight across. I had to correct her hair cut later, I cut it better and I’m not hair dresser. Fourth, the place is messy and unorganized, she has time to clean and organize.

The service here is outstanding! The staff are wonderful, they greeted me as soon as I walked through the door and helped me with everything I needed right away. I would definitely recommend their services to my friends. I have to say that the tanning beds are extremely clean and for the price you cannot find a better place to tan. This is why I will keep coming back time and time again.

I got Groupon coupon for my husbands and kid haircut dint get satisfied results with either haircut my husbands she cut all uneven and my sons front like a girls bang too short to be corrected in both..I do better haircut even though Im not a hairstylist ..She is too pushy to get good reviews so dont trust any of her good reviews and stars ...I still have one more group on left that doesnt expire till Dec of anyone is interested I will just give it to you for free...

By far the worst haircut I’ve ever had, she told me that she’s the “hair doctor” she cut half of my head shorter than the other half, and tried to convince me to buy all of her products. Also the “$9.99 haircut” sign outside is a scam. She told me that is for kids. Well the sign doesn’t say kids anywhere on it. Biggest waste of time and money. Will not be returning. Stay away from this place. She asked me to write a review and this is what she’s getting. 0/10 would not recommend.

Najwa is the best!

Najwa is very pushy. I purchased a haircut on Groupon because I was going to be in the area for a doctors appt. I went in and she asked who had done my haircut last time in a manner which insinuated I had gotten a bad haircut last time. The haircut she gave me looked okay, but it wasn’t what I asked for. She then pressured me to write three positive reviews for her on three different online platforms while I was sitting in the hair cutting chair. This is one of them, I am editing it because I didn’t realize I could until now. At checkout, I told her I wasn’t sure when I would be able to come again next (I am hardly ever in that area), but she kept trying to convince me to just set up an appointment of some type, so I did it in order to get out of there. She also kept trying to get me to buy expensive hair products that I did not want. I then called to cancel the appointment she had forced me to make and she kept arguing with me on the phone for so long about coming in that I rescheduled. I told her I couldn’t come on Valentine’s Day because I worked, but apparently she had booked it then anyway, because I got a voicemail and text message saying I had missed “my” appointment that I did not make. I don’t think she’s a bad person, but she doesn’t listen at all. I definitely would not go back there, a $6 haircut is not worth the headache. Also, I would bet $1,000 that 99% of the 5-star reviews for this business were made by unsuspecting people, under pressure, sitting in that very same salon chair.

She did not do what I asked. I spent the last 4 months growing my hair out and I wanted it cleaned up on the sides and back. She just cut it all short and didn’t even do a good job then charged me $40.

Nice haircut! I went in with a bad haircut and she fixed it for me quickly. Now my backside is even and both sides are even too.

I have never been one to care too much about who or where my hair gets cut, as long as it was decent. After discovering this place by complete accident however, I have never returned to anyone else. This lady is GREAT at what she does and I can definitely say I am not afraid to let her make decisions when it comes to style. Cut after cut I have been nothing short of satisfied and would definitely recommend her to anyone seeking a perfect haircut to boost your confidence!

As a first time visitor I had a wonderful experience at the Salon 24 today. Ms. Najwa has taken a great care of me and my demaged multi-colored hair disaster while making my visit comfortable and fun. My hair is looking and feeling 100% healthier. She is truly a “hair doctor” as everyone calls her ;). I will be back to see her again.

I came in for a cut color & blow out. After spending a summer in Europe my hair was bleached from the sun and dry from the beach. Najwa styled my hair to perfection. I had a infuriating experience. I stopped in to get a quote on tanning. I was quoted $100.00 for 2 months, no co-pay. She was very pushy about selling me lotion. She kept telling me she will give me the product at cost. The price she gave it to me was NOWHERE NEAR cost. I made a few calls after I left and found out she lied. Made me feel very uncomfortable and attacked. Then she told me my total but she charged double what I was expecting. I was absolutely furious. I was lied to and scammed and I don’t appreciate that. When I went back into the salon to demand a refund, she refused. I asked to speak with the owners of the salon and she said I couldn’t because their over seas. After some research I found out that “she” was the owner. She lied to my face, yet again. I had to get Washtenaw County Sheriffs Office involved due to the amount of fraud this woman has caused with my credit card. DONT EVER GO HERE
