I appreciate Henry the barber that works there at the establishment. He does a amazing job on my hair style. He is very timely and the quality is great considering it is only $20 for a haircut (and of course whatever tip). He is one of the few if not the only Barber that can get my hairline right.

Perfect haircuts every time. I would recommend making an appointment. But every time I have set a time with them… it’s been on time- or earlier. Just to get a clean cut and on my way. Super good atmosphere as well! 6 stars!

I have been going to Henry for about 7+ years, both of my kids also get their hair cuts here. We moved out of the area three years ago, and still make the 35 minute drive for excellent service. Henry always goes above and beyond for us, including fitting us in when we have last minute needs due to our hectic schedules. Hands down, this shop is the only one I will be a patron of. Great place for a professional hair cut. I’ve gotten multiple ppl asking me how I get my fade so tight and transitioned so smoothly. All respect to Henry, he’s the person I always recommend for a great cut. Manny kills it too, giving their best each cut. Either one of the can cut your hair in the dark and still make it look better and half the ppl out there.

I have been getting my hair cut by the owner (Henry) for over 12 years, he has also cut my son’s hair for 9 years. He is a great person and barber. The atmosphere is always pleasant as well.

Would not Recommend. I came in at 8:14am on a Saturday, they opened at 8am. I sat down with my two male children and there were 2 others waiting. The man cutting hair looked at me and said just to let you know they won t get in until after 10am because im busy until my help comes in. Actually encouraging me to go ELSEWHERE. Will never take my kids here or suggest to anyone else. Will be sure to take our money and business elsewhere.

Ive been going here about 1.5 years now and have gotten good cuts with one exception. That exception turned out to be a blessing, as Master Barber Manny brought it back into the neighborhood of a good cut. Hes been my dude ever since. Great value, great cut. Dude knows his business. Hit or miss. The best thing about this barbershop is that theyre open on Sunday. Unless you mind your barber taking calls and talking on the phone the entire time hes cutting your hair, dont sit in the first chair to the left. There are a couple of guys in there who will cut you up real nice, but I havent seen them in there lately.Update: I initially gave Royal Cut a 3 but Im downgrading them to a 0. I went in tonight and arrived at 7:33, and the open sign was on. The shop was completely empty other than 2 barbers. When they saw me coming to the door one of them quickly scurried over and told me they were closed. We stop taking customers at 7:30. The Store hours are 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and the only reason places stop letting people in before close is so they wont be there until after closing, but THERE WAS NO ONE THERE! I didnt even say anything. I just got in my truck and went down the street to Gentlemans Barbershop where Mo (he is one of the good barbers who used to work at Royal Cut) hooked me up. I will NEVER go back to Royal Cut.

I’ve been going to royal cut for about 2 years now. every time i was in there was quick to get in a chair. i’m very particular about my cuts and have never been disappointed. about a year and a half ago i met manning when he was new to the shop. So when you go ask for Manning. By far the best barber i’ve ever had. and i’ve lived in many different states. He clean as hell with clippers knows exactly what you want, and if u ever wanna change something up he knows exactly what will look good on you. i’ve developed a good relationship with manning, he’s even stayed late to fit me in before close or squeezed me inbetween other appointments if one of them was running late. By far the best barber around!!

The only place I will ever go to get my haircut. I spend a lot of time out of town, but I will always make the drive to come here. Manny is my barber of choice and he definitely makes you feel like you’ve known him all your life. From the time I come in he greets me and always tells me, “hello my friend.” If I decide to be adventurous, I’ll show him a picture of the style that I want, and he will tell me what I am asking for to show that he understands, which is a big perk for me. He always line my hair and beard with a razor which I absolutely appreciate.

A very rocky start with a few unanswered calls, a call back from the shop that I was hung up on without a word, and a late start to my appointment by 20mins. However, Henry has been responsive over the phone and even texted for faster responses. He is willing to work after hours and offers multiple time-frames for cuts (day and night). Great fade and lineup. Overall, nice haircut, but could work on punctuality.

My son is very picky about his hair. Especially because some barbers push his hair line back. Melvin aka butter did a great job when I explained this to him. Did exactly what I asked for and better then I expected. We will be back.

Ive been going to the same barber for over 10 years in Ypsilanti. Royal Cut is located right down the street from me so I went in for a last minute line up since they are one of only a few open Sunday. Right when I walked in I wasnt asked what service I needed, I was just directed to the woman in the back (assuming because I am a woman). I ended up having to show her what Ive gotten in the past 3 TIMES throughout her display of inexperience. She asked me what number blade to start with...do you not have a license to cut hair???! She kept asking me if my line up looked straight! SHE ASKED ME IF SHE SHOULD JUST FOLLOW MY HAIR LINE? Also, if you have dreads...why do you choose to shave the front?? I started this visit with a simple question, have you done this style before? and was confidently answered....oh yes. My barber takes under 20 minutes, this chick takes 40 minutes AND my wife had to step in when she thought she was done to tell her to BLEND BETTER. This chicks hands were shaking with fear because she OBVIOUSLY had no idea what she was doing. We wont be back. DO NOT GO HERE!!
