Absolutely love my experience at Shear Paradise !!I went in for color and highlights. Greg transformed my hair from wispy to full, shiny and healthy looking in a matter of 4 appointments. The color and highlights turned out great , they totally brought out my eyes and my complexion.He recently suggested a smoother. It seemed expensive at the time but was worth every penny.It left my hair shiny, frizz-free and cuts down my drying time in half.I absolutely recommend the salon to everybody looking for a great hair-stylist.

After one cut from Greg, my hair naturally fell into a professional styling that I use every day. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxing and the process is quick and professional. After 5 years in the Ann Arbor area I have FINALLY found a stylist that I dont have to draw what I want out in crayon for. Greg is professional, friendly, and awesome at what he does. I LOVE my cut and color and it was really nice not having a ton of people around, blaring music, and the reek of nail stuff (which irritates my allergies, Im not being a snob I swear!). Great, relaxing atmosphere and QUICK! It was nice not having my muscles cramp up from sitting for 3 hours!

The only barber you would ever need to see. Ive been going to Greg since he was located on Jackson road, and grew up having my hair cut by him (in the very early 90s). Now, even as an adult I continue to go to him for my haircuts, and he does such a great job and is such a personable guy that it seems really rude to even think of going to another barber/stylist. Get an appointment and youll have your hair just the way you want it.

I was a client of Greg Dawsons for more than 20 years and referred numerous friends and family members to him. In turn he repaid that loyalty by coming up with a lame excuse less than 6 hours before the wedding of my nephew to try to cancel an appointment I had made for my mother and my husband. Despite this I thanked him for his graciousness, even though he showed none. Subsequently he hasnt returned calls and Ive found Breathe Hair Salon in Brighton that I would recommend far more highly. Its unfortunate Mr. Dawsons personal problems are interfering with his ability to appreciate long-time clients and run his business. - Beth

Came in looking for an easy-to-manage, professional look for work. I walked in and he took my jacket, offered some coffee (giving me a second to sip on it), then sat me down and lopped off my giant locks, fixing me a great looking head of hair. He did a quick beard trim afterwards and I was out the door in about 35 minutes. I dont see myself getting my haircut anywhere else as long as Im in the Ann Arbor area.
