I had this experience for the first time where the doctor will give you estimation for fixing 3 issues, takes the estimated money (after fixing 2 issues) and refers the most important extraction work to a ortho dentist. This was kind of cheating.

My children love their dentists. Dr. Bak & Dr. Rachel is very caring, assuring and professional. The whole staff there are very professional & great at what they do. I drive across town for my daughters because they feel comfortable at Windward Pediatric Dentistry. The atmosphere is fun & inviting.

We are really happy with this dentist/orthodontist office. Until now we have only come for dental check-ups and cleaning, but now we started the orthodontics process - so far so good! The staff is friendly, caring, and professional. My kids LIKE going to the dentist now!! Well done, Windward Pediatric Dentistry.

They are so welcoming, so efficient as well as very understanding with regards to working with you when it comes to appointments. Five stars is not enough to describe how amazing this dental team is!

As a parent they set my mind at ease. They will not prescribe treatments if not needed. Also will give you ample time to understand what may be needed in future and the best possible options.The front desk staff is equally friendly and sweet. They will take the time to explain and answer all your queries.

This is a beautiful, very modern facility and practice but a cozy and happy group to work with, real people that made great connects with their patients and families. I have taken my kids here for years, I wish they did adult teeth! :-)

I love this dentist for so many reasons. No long waits in the waiting room- finally a doctor who schedules appropriately! No guilt approach to dental hygiene. Kid friendly environment and rewards for the kids. Dr. Bak is wonderful with the kids- they really respect him as a doctor. They cant wait to tell him at their next visit if they have lost any teeth. Front desk staff extremely patient and answers all your questions regarding billing. They have handled all my insurance and billing wonderfully. Great dentist office! I wish they saw adults because Id go there!

I was taking my kids to this practice since they specialize for kids with TVs on the ceiling, movies playing, cartoon characters on the walls, etc.. Very kid friendly, but the support staff there was horrible to work with and was ONLY profit driven. There were 5 to 6 people sitting up front adding no value. They lied to me saying they contacted my insurance company to obtain the exact amount that insurance would cover. I overpaid by $80. Two weeks later I took my son in for the exact same procedure on a different tooth and I asked the office why the mistake. They since have changed their story and stated they estimated it and never called. When it was time to pay for the second tooth, they insisted on charging me the overinflated price. I told them they were crazy, and did the math for them, taking into account the $80 they owed me. Then they said they couldn’t do it since they haven’t entered the discrepancy into their accounting system yet. Any overpayments (once entered) would then be credited accordingly. I insisted further until 1 of the 5 useless people went in the back to get approval from the dentist. No way should I as a customer be expected to overpay by $160 and have the practice carry that credit for me until the next dental visit 6 months later. If you multiply this scenario by all the families that go there, the practice is cash flow happy on the backs of their patients. It gets worse… When my son went in for the procedure, they left my son breathing in the nitrous for nearly 15 minutes before the dentist came in to start the procedure. She was busy with another patient. I can understand needing to run out for a minute or to check on something, but to leave a 4 year old on the table for over 15 minutes breathing in gas took me over the edge. They could have easily waited 15 minutes until the dentist was ready before they put my son under the gas. Never again with this practice, they will not see a dime from me. Stay away. They are only profit driven and overcharge left and right, screwing the patients. The TVs, cartoons, toys are all a facade to guilt the parents to take their kids there. Go to a real dentist.

Dr. Bak is so great with my kids. He and his team set them at ease. Even when its something that doesnt feel very good, like a filling, he walks her through it and answers her questions. They really talk to the kids and want them to have a good dental experience with them.

We have been coming here for years and theyve taken great care of us. Friendly and welcoming office, friendly staff, and Dr. Bak always makes the right decision for each kid--he doesnt over or under treat. Definitely recommend!

We have been going to Dr Bak since the children were babies and toddlers! They love the no cavity club and our family has always felt their teeth are in the best hands. Wonderful dentist for children of all ages. He is great explaining to parents what is going on in their kids mouths. :-)

Dr Bak is the best for kids. My son needed a lot of dental work and every time he gets anything done (crowns, fillings, pulled teeth) he says he never feels anything. He is really good at making the kids feel comfortable. And for a child with other anxieties he has none for the dentist.

Dr. Bak and his staff are excellent. I had gone to other dentists before Windward Pediatrics and they did not even come close to Dr. Bak. The hygienist we saw was very sweet, patient and made my 3 year old very comfortable. After finding out my child needed some dental work, Dr. Bak went out of his way to make sure my child was taken care of. This is more than what I had hoped for in finding a dentist. They understand that kids,especially the little ones, can be scared of the dentist, but they make it fun and inviting. There is a huge aquarium with Nemo and Dory fish, which my 3 year old loved. They have TVs everywhere and always have great movies on to keep the kids occupied. Im so glad I found this dentist. Cannot say enough nice things about them. Try them out, you wont be sorry!
