Dr. Buchanan provided orthodontic treatment to our son and daughter who are four years apart in age. Each child required unique, individualized treatment . Our daughters treatment in particular was complicated and required sustained care. Dr. Buchanan is thoughtful, meticulous and conscientious. Both our children now have gorgeous smiles thanks to Dr. Buchanan.

Guilderland Orthodontics has been such a great experience for my daughters and my family as a whole. The entire staff is extremely friendly and thorough. Dr. Buchanan spends time with the patients and explains in detail the procedure and time frame of what is happening. We look forward to coming to every appointment. Dr. Buchanan has been the family orthodontist for over 20 years, now. Three of my siblings and I have all had our braces done there and have been exceedingly happy with the results. I had the glue that was holding a wire to my teeth fall off. i go to a different orthodontist out of state. The receptionist and orthodontist were extremely nice and got me in immediately even though i wasnt a client of theirs. Additionally they did not charge me for the work done where other places i called would have charged me 180$. very good, highly recommend.

Im a student at SUNY Albany. Had some fixed retainer issues and didnt want to travel 3 hours home to get it fixed. Called 7 orthodontists in the area and got quotes upwards of $200, or refusal to help. Charles Buchanan was the only person willing to help. Him, his assistant, and receptionist were beyond friendly and helpful. I cant express how appreciative I am. In the end he didnt even charge me! Thank you so much Dr. Buchanan! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

What an great experience! I had always wanted braces and ended up doing Invisalign with Dr. Buchanan at 25 y/o. I couldnt be happier with the results and the care received at guilderland orthodontics. I would definitely recommend his office for any orthodontic work!

Dr. Buchanan and his staff are all wonderful! I had Invisalign braces put in at age 37. I can’t say enough positive things about my experience at Guilderland Orthodontics. Dr. Buchanan is a craftsman! He had to make room in between my lower teeth that were very crowded and avoided pulling teeth by skillfully removing small amounts of enamel between most of my lower teeth. It was quite a process for someone of my age to get braces, and over the course of the two years I had braces I got to know the staff there very well. I am a very particular and admittedly somewhat demanding patient and always knew I was getting the very best care and thoughtful and patient problem solving from Dr. Buchanan from beginning to end. I have a perfect bite and straight healthy teeth now! Thank you!!!

I spoke to a representative on the phone and was unhappy with the conversation I had with her, when stating I was unclear what my upcoming appointment would do the response I received was Well I dont have your chart. I stated several times that I did not understand how my appointment would help me and I received no assistance whatsoever other than the resulting cancellation of my appointment. I really just needed a quick explanation, and I was not even offered a chance to reschedule.
