I’m only giving Dr.Burgess 5 Stars because I can’t give him and his team any higher marks !!I’m new to the area, and don’t have a Dentist but that didn’t stop me from having a Dental Emergency.Last week I called Dr. Burgess’s office in the morning out of the blue and explained my situation. Derek told me that while they were all booked up, he would see what he could do to help me. He spoke with the Doctor and got back to me within the hour and asked if I could come in that afternoon !! I said of course.Once I was there, they took very good care of me and my situation. Dr. Burgess and his entire team are very professional, caring, and have a great chair side manor ! I’m 52 years old, and I can easily say that Dr. Burgess is the Best Dentist that I have had. I highly recommend him !!

Dr. Burgess has been my dentist for over fifteen years, and I hope he never retires! He and his staff were fantastic to my sweet southern Mom when she suffered with TMJ. Dr. Burgess straightened my teeth with braces and perfected my smile for life. He suggests ways to address short- and long-term dental health treatments. I highly recommend him for all dental procedures. Office visits are like catching up with good friends every six months.

Dr. Burgess and his entire office staff are courteous, timely, and professional. The surroundings are always clean, neat and lemon water always available in the reception area. You can schedule your appointments to have a visit with Chip, the most adorable Norwich Terrier. I highly recommend Dr. Burgess for quality dental care.

Dr. Burgess is a wonderful, caring dentist. He is highly skilled, and keeps up to date on the latest dental developments. His office is clean and beautiful, with excellent equipment. And more important than all of that, he is very pro-active and prevention-minded with his patients. I know, because in my case, I am a cavity-prone, high risk patient, despite actively working at my dental hygiene. Dr. Burgess has made recommendations to me concerning dental rinse and paste products, and methods of dental care, which I have followed closely with the result that I now experience far fewer dental cavities and complications. My oral health has dramatically improved. I couldnt give a higher recommendation than the one I give to Dr. B!

Dr Burgess and his staff are amazing. I was in the Wilmington area for a few days and broke a crown. Without hesitation, Dr Burgess and his staff not only saw me (on their day off!) but completely replaced the crown - all in one visit. I was treated like royalty! This practice is simultaneously warm and technologically advanced - I highly recommend it!

I couldnt have stumbled across a better staff! They are all so friendly and ready to help in any way they can! I have a pretty bad TMJ issue, so keeping my mouth open for fillings is taxing, but Dr. Burgess is patient and allows me to close quite often even though that makes the entire process much longer. If youre in the market for a new dentist save yourself a lot of headaches and make an appointment with Dr. Burgess today!

OMG!!! THIS GUY IS THE MOST AWESOME DENTIST ON THE PLANET..... For 18 years, Dr. Burgess has been in charge of my dental health and has always showed me the utmost care. Words fail me here because I have so few superlatives to express my respect, admiration, thanks and - yes, love - for him. I’m 81 years old and have beautiflul, happy teeth :-) That in spite of having had to deal with root canals, implants, crowns and assorted other dental issues. Besides being absolutely the best dentist of all time, he’s funny and cheerful. He has a cute, cuddly dog, too......

I have been a patient of Dr. Burgess for more than 18 years. Being an RN and previous upper and lower jaw surgery patient with ongoing TMJ issues I can not stress how confident I am in his skill set and knowledge base. I am also very much impressed with his desire to keep his practice updated with the most recent of technology. Not only does he provide this for his patient but he participates in the ongoing education so he understands how it impacts his patients. I know first hand that he also insists that his staff is included in this educational process. There is something else which most impresses me, its something the lay person may not understand. Dr. Burgess will NOT tell u what to do. He will not just treat a crisis tooth and not look at the entire picture. He will look at you as a person. Look at the here and now and look at future implications of treatments done now ans tomirrow and so on. He will want you to be included and understand the entire picture so together both of you can provide the best possible plan of action for your situation, the most cost effective and one that suits you as a person. Can you tell I am a fan?Last I want to mention that he also considers how your general health fits into your dental health and as a nurse believe me it does. One more thing, he wont tell you but I will. He is a very generous and kind, patient person who has volunteered at numerous dental clinics. My family has been going to Dr Burgess since we moved to Wilmington in 1994. Over the years of dental services, he has consistently demonstrated professionalism, fair practices, and most importantly caring! He puts his patients and their families first. He has a great personality and laughs easily. His fees are comperable to other dentists in the area. He is not permitted to retire anytime soon. What I like the most anout his approach is, he always leaves the decision to proceed with the patient. He provides informed consent and explains risks, benefits, and alternatives for each procedure. He has served three generations of our family and all of us are well cared for and satisfied. Oh yeah, he is excellent with “chickens”.

Dr Burgess dentist office is very special to me. Ive been going there over 20yrs now. When I first started going there l was always frighten of the word dentist. My lst day going there I told Dr coleman how I felt. He took his time and talk with me and answer every concern I had. Hes very Great at what he does.if you have any problem after he done work on your mouth , He will work you in. Dr burgess put his clients first. His office staff are so friendly and professional. Theyre not just a dentist they are my family. I never thought in a million years Ill be saying this about a dentist office but it is truly the truth I wouldnt have it no other way I really truly love them they are the best in town

I went to see Dr. Burgess for TMJ treatment a year ago. He told me that my bite was not right and thats why I had problems with my joints. I drove over 2 hours to get to his office. It was well worth the drive.He is a very kind man and understands TMJ problems. Has a wonderful staff. He fitted me with a splint and I wore it all the time. I got adjustments and it fixed my problem. My jaw is very comfortable now thanks to Dr. Burgess. I am now going to talk to Dr. Jamison about braces to correct my bite. I could choose to wear this splint if I wanted to. I can eat with it and all. I almost hate to change now but I would like a permanent fix. If you have TMJ you can surely depend on Dr. Burgess to know what to do to fix it. I am a very satisfied customer and will also use him for my dental work. I got an overlay and it was great.
