Great atmosphere and super friendly staff! Ive spent most of my appointments with Karen who has been nothing but patient with me. She always provides me with great tips and tricks to make sure my teeth stay healthy in between visits. Dr. Rich is always very friendly and explains the procedure both before and during so you feel comfortable. Highly recommend this office.

I was referred to this office by a friend, and am so glad they told me about it. Not only is the office beautiful and the location convenient, but the staff also made my experience that much more comfortable.Michelle went above and beyond to accommodate me the moment I walked in the door. She was very knowledgeable and personable—I think she sensed my nervousness, but after discussing the procedures with her, I felt much more at ease.The facility was clean and you can tell they are taking extra precautionary steps given the current climate with Covid-19. Actually looking forward to going back for my next cleaning!

Riverside Dental Arts (now called Downtown Dental) do excellent work. Dr. Gabe Rich has done several crowns for me and they feel and work great. Dr. Puza has more recently fitted me with a crown replacement and he also does high quality work. Karen is one of their dental hygienists and she is terrific. Friendly, professional people. An excellent dental practice.

After having had a few negative experiences I seem to have developed anxiety over going to the dentist. Riverside dental has cured me of that fear. They are very gentle and the staff could not be more competent. On top of that the friendliness and cooperative nature of the front desk staff are also remarkable. I just recently started going to Riverside Dental and it was the best decision I couldve made. My dental hygienist, Karen, did not only do an incredible job on my cleaning, but she was kind and comforting, which truly did ease my worries. During a different visit, my dentist, Dr. Puza, and his assistant Jessica worked on my teeth together. They were both fantastic and did an excellent job, not to mention they are fast which is great. Overall my visit with Riverside Dental was amazing.

The entire experience was made very easy. Staff was incredibly friendly. When calling they have an option that says new patient, first dentist office that had that option, which made it very easy to set everything up. Dentist went over everything and was very thorough, made me feel very comfortable. Took a card and am recommending this dentist to my friends. The front clerk Tara was very helpful setting everything up for me, Dr. Gabe was absolutely amazing and said things like we can fix this dont worry which made me feel good, Shelly the Dental Assistant was also very very nice. This will be my dentist for the ever seeing future.

As someone who has had a fear of the dentist, I’ve been put at ease at every appointment! Dr. Rich is gentle in his approach and treatment and each hygiene visit is handled beautifully by Karen, and by Ally at this last visit. I would highly recommend this office!

5 years ago a friend recommended Riverside Dental to my and my family and I have been going there ever since. The staff are always upbeat, friendly and efficient. My appointment starts on time and Karen does a fantastic job cleaning my teeth. The couple of times I’ve needed a filling Dr. Rich went above and beyond to alleviate my anxiety (to say I’m not fond of Novocain went be a gross understatement). I highly recommend this practice to everyone that asks 😎

I have to say from the front desk to Dr. Rich and (Dr. Puza now) as well as Jessica the dental assistant this office has legitimately stopped me hating the whole dental experience. I have had some work and preventative dentistry done (which I was told would help with less visits and was never mentioned by any other dentists, as it seems they want you there more) and have had nothing but an absolute fantastic experience. I even have to shout out Michelle that takes payments is fantastic and makes parting with my money a little easier every time I am there.

I recently had a crown replaced by Dr. Rich and Jessica, the dental assistant. She is amazing and so skilled at getting the details just right. The new crown fit perfectly. Oh--Dr. Rich was also in the room. :)They both cared sincerely about my comfort during the whole procedure.And while Im raving about them, Karen, my hygienist does such a great job. My teeth have never been cleaner. Everyone there is friendly as well as eminently competent and skilled in their work.

Horrible experience... I was absolutely lied to... Dr. Rich made a financial agreement with me, took a large amount of money for the majority of the work, then refused to honor the agreement that he made...The work that he did complete needs fixed... what a nightmare... hold onto your check book..

I was a little nervous since I havent had dental care in awhile but Dr. Rich and his staff are so professional and customer oriented I was at ease from the moment I walked in.He and his staff were extremely clear on the plan they suggested for my dental care and made certain I knew exactly what to expect and what the procedures would be.The office had a homey feeling to it and Dr. RIch and his whole staff treated me as if I was the most important patient they had. They didn’t make me feel like a terrible person for not getting my teeth cleaned on a regular basis. I received a detailed analysis of my visit and was explained everything along the way. I first went to Dr. Rich for a second opinion on some work I needed. I was impressed by how thorough he was and how considered he was in describing my options. Ive gone there ever since with complete confidence in the quality of care from him and all the staff. He and they always take the time to discuss any issue I have and make sure everything is done with maximum quality.And he has great art work in the office!

Dr. Rich has saved several of my teeth from shoddy dental work elsewhere. He has given me hope that I can maintain what I have left in my mouth for a very long time. He does gorgeous work and is meticulous about color, shape, and fit of all crowns and fillings. His staff is superb as well. He referred me to a different dentist for two dental implants because he felt my case warranted having Dr. Wallace do the implant surgery(Dr. Wallace is also the best implant surgeon for people like me with bone loss). Dr. Rich did the two crowns for the implant post-they literally feel like real teeth. I actually look forward to going to the dentist now which is nuts if you knew what I have been through. You really should give Dr. Rich and his staff the opportunity to be your dental team. I love them!

Fantastic experience! Dr. Gabe had me assessed and prepped for a new crown in no time and with very little discomfort. The turnaround time on my new crown was just a few days. I have been to a few dentist in my time but never one who was so skilled and personable. Dr. Gabes staff needs a special mention too as they set a super calm atmosphere and give excellent assist to this very skilled and experienced Doctor of Dentistry.

Karen always does a great job cleaning my teeth. The customer service and kindness of this team is unmatched.

Dr. Gabe Rich has put in crowns and removed pieces of a damaged and infected tooth for me.During all of these experiences he made sure that I was not in pain. He is very sensitive to his patients needs and have their best interests at heart. He can also perform dentistry that many other dentists would have to send their patients to a dental surgeon to perform. I and my daughter think that we are quite fortunate to have Dr. Rich as our Dentist.

As i read the star rating above, I have to chuckle! 5 stars = loved it If i truly loved it, I may have some mental issues. However, as dental visits go, Dr Rich and Staff are the best! To clarify...this was not a pain free little filling or something. This was a pain free tooth extraction!!! Great Doctor, Great People! I have only one word to describe this dentist and his staff.... AMAZING. I started going to Dr. Rich because our dental insurance changed due to my husbands job change (he was not in network with our old insurance), and because I heard he was one of the best cosmetic dentists in Wilmington, and let me just say that I am so glad I did! The hygienist was so gentle when I had my first cleaning, and then, when an old crown happened to break weeks later, I had one of the best experiences getting not one, but two new crowns (the tooth beside the one that broke was close to breaking so we decided to do them both at the same time), that I have ever had! Seriously folks, Dr. Rich was so gentle with not only the numbing shots, but also the drilling, etc. that I was completely in awe. He just told stories of his past travels to keep my mind off things as he did what he needed to without a hitch! Sharon, his assistant, was equally great. They were careful to continue to make sure I was doing OK, letting me hold the suction wand and have anything else I needed. And he did the whole thing so quickly! He even let me help him choose the best tooth color for my permanent crown, and they match so well that you truly cant tell which ones are the crowns! And both experiences - the temporary and permanent crown - were great! Moreover, after I left that day, I proceeded to receive a call from Dr. Rich just to check on me, and also from Sharon a few days later to do the same. I have been to many dentists, and I also do my homework and research before going to anyone in a new city, and the bottom line is that Dr. Rich and his team are the best there is, and you would not go wrong making them your go to for all of your familys dentistry needs. :)

Dr Duffy went above and beyond for me! When visiting Wilmington for a long weekend to celebrate my husbands birthday, my temporary crown came off. Tried the over the counter cement which only worked for an hour. Even drinking water was painful and we had upcoming reservations at some awesome restaurants downtown. My dentist in Charlotte gave me the phone number for Riverside Dental Arts. Dr. Rich returned my call immediately and was out of town so he had Dr. Duffy (a new dentist in the practice) call me. We met at the office on Saturday afternoon and Dr Duffy did an expert job placing my temporary crown back on my tooth. He was extremely kind and very professional and skilled. I highly recommend Dr. Duffy and would absolutely make him my dentist if I ever move to Wilmington!
