First off.. Ray is amazing! She was the first hair stylist that really listened to what I really wanted for my hair! 1st time coming into the salon atmosphere was great clean space and friendly staff.

I had the most wonderful experience here! I have not had my hair done in almost two years, and it hadnt been colored in almost five. Terri did a terrific job, and I will continue to come back to this salon for all my hair appointments! The atmosphere was so inviting, and she made great conversation with me the whole time. So, heres the abbreviated review: Lynn did an incredible job on my hair. Im not much into atmosphere or decor, I just like a stylist who gets me and thats what I got at House of Hair. If youd like the extended review read on.I have a lot of gray. Im not completely gray yet nor do I have consistent gray color but its enough to need my roots done every 3 weeks although I push it to 4. And sadly, at 2 weeks, I often put on a hat. You get the point. Add to that, that my husband and I have been traveling for work since last September. I soon discovered that finding a stylist on the road who understands that resistant gray doesnt mean you make it darker, it means you let me sit and process, is difficult. Needless to say, I soon had bands of brunette varieties in my hair and was desperate to finally, once and for all, go gray. But I have long hair and Im not prepared to cut it all off to avoid the gray glacier of growth. I should note that I asked my last 2 permanent stylists (the ones back home) to give me a whole head of highlights and gradually work toward going gray but they both discouraged me, saying that the gray is harder to maintain and that theyd still have to do my roots in brunette. Basically, I was discouraged.This is where Lynn at House of Hair comes in. My husband and I rolled in Wichita and first on my list was researching a salon. When I approached Lynn about my highlight theory, she was totally down with it. AND she didnt need to do my roots in my brunette color, wed just put in the highlights month after month until we felt they were blended. She also recommended and sold me a blue shampoo, which I love--Matrix Total Results Brass Off (no promotional credit given), and took her time letting me process. The end result: I could not be happier. The virus isolation thing has put a crook in our plan but with the highlights I have, I dont have to fret hiding my inches of gray root by the time the salon opens again. And if my husband and I move on before that happens, at least I know better than to believe a stylist who says they cant help me grow out my gray.Just an aside, everyone who walked out of House of Hair had a great style. And everyone who works there does too. But theyre not a bunch of pretty women. Theyre real. Theyll have a real conversation with you.

I had Angela today for my first time at this salon. My hair was a disaster before I came in and I left with a super dooper cut and style. Just exactly like I wanted.

Terry was wonderful. We had a bridal party there and had the whole salon to ourselves... ON A SATURDAY. They have cute faith based jewelry among others there and it is decorated beautifully. Great for a wedding but my bride gets her hair done regularly there and it always looks great!

Loved the relaxing atmosphere. Our stylist Terri did an amazing job on both mine & my daughters hair coloring today. It was our first time and we will definitely be going back. Terri got a 10 stars voiced review from my 17yr old daughter because she loved how her hair turned out and Terri is really a wonderful lady.

I saw Terri while I was there. She gave a good mens cut and listened to what I asked for. All around good experience. The pricing was a bit on the high side but not unreasonable.

Worst experience of my life! The stylist I had ruined my hair! I went in for some simple highlights and came out with a disaster! After three failed attempts of color and processing I was still left in tears. The stylist clearly had no idea how to color hair yet correct it! Im furious! My beautiful hair is now ruined.

We have gotten our hair done at many places and none compare to House of Hair. We have been coming here for about 5 years and are treated like family. They’re reasonably price for the service and quality that you receive. We’ve had our hair chopped, trimmed, and colored. We have been coming here for years. I have a sulfa allergy and they were very accommodating when it came to products that will work for me.My daughter has wavy hair with some curls that can be tangly. They were very gentle with her and recommended products that she can use to manage her hair. My mom and sisters get their hair done here also. Their hair range from fine, blond hair to thick, dark hair.The environment is very industrial chic. Everyone is upbeat and friendly. The ladies do well with helping each other ring out patrons and answering questions, even if we’re not their client. Thanks for the great work ladies!

Abbreviated version of this because i typed out the entire story only to have it erased for being too long. Ive supported this business with my every cut, colour, and styling apointment since I moved here a bit over a year ago. Every two months or less Im in there for a cut, colour, style, or combo of those. Even though I do not like the countryesqe midwestern mom atmosphere, I enjoy working with Lynn and she does a great job. On about the 15th of June I took my best friend to the salon, shes never had her locks professionally coloured b4 and this was a birthday gift. Her natural colour was lifted and purple was applied. I got a cut and fashion coloured as well. After I pay for the cut and tip both stylists, another human who works there comes up to us and informs us that fashion colours go right down the drain and I should also buy these Matrix shampoo and conditioner for us both. I buy them but think its odd that their fashion colours go right down the drain. Ive been colouring my own locks for 15+ years, bleaching and toneing and fashion colouring them. Ive sucessfully used Ion, Punky Colour, Overtone, Manic Panic, Artic Fox, and Uberliss products. Ive used Loreal shampoo and conditioner. Sure the fashion colours fade in a couple months and need touched up... Surely thats what the sales rep was meaning... I was very wrong. First wash 4 days post colour, my colour comes running out even though I used the Matrix products and continues to run with every wash since. My friend asked me to style her locks for an event one week after the salon. Her locks have a huge golden band in the middle. I am embarrassed and ashamed because I took her to the salon that resulted in this. Both my friend and Is hair was left greasy from the Matrix products and our colour was down the drain. More severely on my friends purple locks. My pink became dingy and faded but hers is worse. I become anxious and dont know what to do. I have severe anxiety and this entire incident has taken a tole on my emotional wellbeing. I feel like I let my friend down. I can find the matrix shampoo for half the cost on the internet. I called the salon and explained the situation to whom answered. She listened and said she would talk with the owners. I got a return phone call saying I could pay another $60 for my friends locks to be re glossed. No thank you. I paid about $400 for my friend and Is cut and colour and Matrix products for a colour that is designed to be noticeably washed out in a week and greasy hair. Wich is sad because its such a nice cut on both of us. Im hurt because I truly believed all this past year I was building a relationship with this business. I thought they respected and valued me as much as I did them. I wanted to share the experience with my friend. Now Im nauseous, our colour and money is down the drain, and Im stuck finding a new salon that appreciates my frequent loyal buisness. I really wish I would have been told that their products are designed to wash out noticibly in a week pre colour so i could have made an informed decision or that the salon would care enough about me as a human or my consistent business with them that they would make the situation right when I called and presented them with my issues. I love and support Lynn Cook as a friend and stylist, but I am truly dissapointed with how HoH has descided to approach this situation.

Overcharge for a few highlights and no specific special cut,just simply 2 inches off.$120 a hair school could of done the same thing for much less.very unhappy

Being newer to the Wichita area, I was looking for a new salon. There are tons and tons here. I found HOH online during my search. With them having a 5 star rating, I decided to give them a try. I am SO happy that I did. The staff was amazing and make you feel right at home as if you had been a client for years. Miss Sierra was my stylist. This gal was THE most honest and sweetest stylist Ive ever been to. Most salon stylists will tell you what you want to hear and agree with everything you want do or try with your hair, just to make money. Not here. Sierra answered a lot of questions that I had and gave me her upfront, honest opinions. I respect and appreciate that more than shell ever know! Shes gained a client for as long as shes in the Wichita area. I HIGHLY recommend House of Hair to anyone looking for a new salon!

I dont even know what I want to do most of the time but she figures it out for me. Everyone is amazing at their talent but they are also some of the best gals I have ever met. I love this place! I came to get an updo for a friends wedding and fell in love with my stylist, Lynn Cook. Ive been coming to her ever since and have never had a bad experience. Shes amazing and really takes the time to understand what you want, meet your needs. The health of my hair has definitely improved, and my cuts and colors leave me always looking my best. All my interactions with the other stylists have been good here, too, and their clients always leave looking happy with their own locks.The salon itself is in the Delano District, so its in a historical building, but is always clean, bright, and welcoming!

Terri is my favorite Stylist!!!! I color and cut every 6 weeks and have tried so many salons and stylists in Wichita, and its always been disappointing or not consistent. Terri is fun, always happy to see me, understands my hair and what to do. I am picky and my hair is a pain. She is patient and professional and makes me look amazing! My fiance wanted to do something she wasnt extremely sure about with her hair and wanted to go somewhere she could trust with the task. After reading reviews and a little research on HoH, I called and set her up an appointment with Angela. They were very friendly, got her in same day, and took care of her every want making her very happy...which in turn made me happy. They have certainly earned the 5 stars and have gained a return client for sure!

Worst salon ever :(. Yesterday I did Brazilian blow out and today there wasn’t any change on my hair . I wish I didn’t waste my money. In addition, the lady who was doing my hair dropped the hair brush on the floor and she picked it from the floor without cleaning it and she used it on my hair !!!! Literally, I was shocked.

Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. I have never had any issues with them and would recommend to anyone.
