They provided to my daughter patients and security. Made her feel comfortable for it being her first time since shes 2 1/2 yrs old she didn’t cry at all

Great staff! First time here for an emergency, my daughter hurt her tooth at schools and they were able to see us right away. So thankful. The dentist and the girls in the front were so kind and helpful as well as the assistants.

This was our initial visit and all of the staff was nice and comforting. My daughter was at ease, that made me feel at ease as well! I was able to download the registration forms, fill them out at home and not have to wait. The process was very simple, thank you! 😊

Nice and Friendly staff. Office was cleans and great for kids. One problem, they told me I was not allowed to be with my daughter who is 8 yrs old while she is having dental work!!! I do not agree with this and because of it, I will be looking for another dentist office. This is a safety concerned and will not trust anyone alone with my kids.

The employees and dentist are all friendly they explained everything for me since it was my daughters first dental visit, I love the atmosphere there its so calming and kid friendly, beautiful colors and cute kid decorations. Love how they make kids feel secure and comfortable. My kids have usually been put to sleep to do dental work but this tine around they werent. Very happy and satisfied with Smileland!! My kids had an amazing experience.

My kids love going to the dentist because of their experience at SmileLand. The colorful rooms and fun decor make them feel at ease. They love having TV’s on the ceilings to watch while they get their teeth cleaned. They look forward to their new toothbrushes and goodie bag each visit as well as picking out a prize for being cavity free. We almost have enough point stickers to get some of the big prizes too! It’s so wonderful to have my kids look forward to the dentist. They do miss the Xbox and tablets in the waiting room but hopefully one day once Covid isn’t so prevalent they will offer them to help pass the time once more.

Horrible experience. These people are dishonest and aggressive. Save your kid from the trauma and take them elsewhere. They should NOT be allowed to strap down your child to a board and tie down the wrists/ankles/waist as well. It was HORRIFIC to watch and they made you sign a waiver PRIOR to entering the room stating that you, as the parent, would not speak or touch the child during the procedure. My daughter was calm and collected as we entered the room. They immediately strapped her down for precaution which caused her to panic. This is straight ABUSE and should not be allowed. The employees did not comfort her as she screamed hysterically. They were rough and forceful with their words. My daughter was drenched in sweat and cried for the entire day following the incident. She is SO traumatized by this experience. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE. PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE SCHEDULING.

Took our daughter here for the first time today and she had a great experience. This was her first time at the dentist and staff were welcoming, kind and made my daughter feel comfortable and give her a great experience for her first time. Wait time was great had an appointment in the morning daughter got attended right away we were in and out. Would recommended this office to others and will be coming back for her next appointment!

We had all 5 of our kids scheduled for the same time. They do a temp check and Covid questionnaire at the door. There was a few other families in the waiting room and the waiting room is well spaced out. We were seen quickly, all the employees wore PPE and the place was clean. All 5 kids were done within an hour. Very happy with their service.

We just love this place, very professional, excellent customer service and so sweet to my child. Staff made my little girl feel so comfortable and not scared to go back.

My son hated the dentist that he was going to so I took him to Smileland. He loved going there and didnt complain about anything. He even had dental work done. They offer the laughing gas which put his nerves at ease.

My daughter is very shy and they all did a great job explaining everything to her and making her feel very comfortable!

The best dental place I’ve ever taken my kids to! I won’t take them anywhere else. From the building, to the reception, to the dentists, the overall experience is amazing.

The staff was wonderful, but everything else was awful. It was my sons first-ever dentist appointment, and our first time ever going to Smileland, so we werent sure what to expect. Thirty minutes after our scheduled appointment time we were taken to our chair-- one of four in a large room. The other chairs were occupied by other children, some of whom were crying hysterically because, well, dentists can be scary! Watching others cry in the same room made my son anxious and scared. After waiting in our chair for a few minutes, he had some x-rays done-- they went well. After about 10 minutes sitting in his chair again, the dental hygienist came in and gave his teeth a quick polish-- that too went well. The staff was nice and great with kids. We were told the dentist would be with us shortly. Well, an hour later we still had not seen or heard from anyone, and my son was restless. We had been there two hours now and he is a preschooler, so he is antsy and was getting hungry. I understand that doctor offices are busy and they get behind schedule, but a place that is made for children should know that children cannot be made to sit still for one hour! My son was patient and gracious about it all, which is amazing for a preschooler, but forcing that kind of a wait upon a family is unacceptable for a dentists office. I decided to leave before we saw the dentist and talked to a staff member about the experience. She was wonderful, kind, and understanding. She asked if I wanted to reschedule, but I did not. We will not be returning to Smileland. We will find somewhere that the wait time is more kid-friendly.If you have an anxious child who wont do well watching others cry, do not go to Smileland.If you have an antsy child that cannot sit still for over an hour while you wait in the cleaning chair to see the dentist, do not go to Smileland.

They made my daughter feel so comfortable about her procedure. The dentist explained everything to my daughter instead of just me making her feel included in the decisions. Wonder staff !

I Love it here! I take my two year old daughter every five months and they’re so friendly, kind and helpful. The waiting time is not bad at all. The longest I waited was probably 30 minutes. Plus they have games and tablets for your little one to be entertained.

Took my 1 and a half year old and my 18 year old and they both loved it! They were very friendly, gentle while examining my kids, great service and made us feel welcome. The girls made sure they explained everything to us about the visits and follow up/recommended treatment. Great job Smileland! ☆☆☆☆☆

Receptionist in the front were excellent, friendly , smiled and great phone etiquette. Back office equally as great . They have a great point system for the kiddos to earn and after so many points they can later purchase toys from their mini toy store .My all around experience was great for myself and most importantly for my son . I highly recommend smileland visalia. They were very efficient and everyone is very polite.There was little to no wait time. Both the dentist and assistant were amazing with my daughter. Shes 1 and it was nap time but they had all the patience in the world. They were very understanding and kind. They made it a pleasant experience for my daughter and I definitely will be back.

This place is amazing. My (now 4) yo has trauma from doctors and the staff are very understanding, really quick and they treat everyone with respect. Ive been for all of my dentist appointments for all of my children many times and never have a complaint!

The environment is very comforting to the children. The waiting area keeps the kids occupied with video games and a tablet table. My 9 year old, and 7 year old enjoyed their exam because the staff is great! My kids loved it, and are actually excited to go to their next appointment!

I took my 6 year old for a cleaning and ended needing an extraction because of a tooth being infected they took care of us right away my child did not cry she took it like a champ they strapped her down for her safety that also made it easier on the doctor removing the tooth staff was polite and professional. I would totally recommend anyone here.

The most beautifully created, kid attractive dentistry I have been too. Definitely will remain at this dentistry for pediatric dentist care until no longer needed. The environment is perfect for kids. Staff is efficient and friendly. Highly recommend.

We have a three-year-old daughter that no one could work on but Smileland came to the rescue! They did a wonderful job! My daughter even had a good experience! We love you Smileland!

I did have a wonderful experience the 1st time but the second time made me question. I made a report on one of the doctors closing my sons nose and the manager said they were not allowed to do that even if its to open up his mouth. They gave my son 2 cuts on his bottom lip and made it bleed I was not happy!

Amazing staff, very friendly. As soon as my daughter and I walked in we were greeted promptly and didnt even wait 5 minutes to get called back. My daughter was very nervous and the medical assistant that helped us was so friendly and explained everything that she was doing and what all of her cleaning instruments did for my daughter to understand. She also answered all of her questions. She had a lot of questions too. As we were signing out she also explained the points the kids get and how they earn them to get prizes. It was the first time I had actually seen my daughter comfortable with medical staff. Thank you smileland staff and Dr. B. Will highly recommend.

I needed to get my child in Asap. She was a new patient. They were able to get her in same day appointment. As soon as i walked in i was greeted. Very friendly staff.

Place is great for kids. They engage them at the lobby with video games. Then when they actually go inside, the staff are very friendly. The colors and the setup is very kid friendly. Also, once the visit is over the kids get a stamp book where they receive points that can be redeemed for prizes.

Everyone was nice and everything was ok. Except! Long long long wait! We almost left cause they were taking to long and it wasnt even that busy like in other ocassions that Ive been their. Usually they dont take too long . But the last 2 times Ive gone to take my daughters. .its been a long wait.

Great experience and they were flexible with my treatment requests but I was sad to see the floors were really dirty. It was in the morning too so its not like its was busy, they just dont clean the floors regularly apparently.

I will not reccomend this place to anyone. The staff was very unprofessional and rude. Definitely needing some all staff training. The experience was traumatizing for both our son and us. Never going back! We are so fortunate that Kids Dental in Hanford were able to take us in jist hours after leaving this place. When kids dental tried getting our information sent over to them by smileand they refused and were very rude. You have small children do not take them here! Kind of like a western dental if you know what i mean...I wish i could give 0 stars!!

A very kid friendly location even after having treatment my son loves going to smileland.

Felt very clean and safe .The wait time is always short I have two kids 4&5 and was in and out in 45 minutes. My 5 year old has autism and they are so great with him I would not go no where else.They also give you a private room if needed.

My daughter loves it here. She did better than she usually does at the place I used to take her. They were able to get xrays on her and did her cleaning without any trouble. If I could give this place 0 stars I would , my 3 year old came to smileland Visalia location after we took him to the Tulare location when he was 1. We thought everything would be great since our experience in Tulare was good . The receptionists were very nice but our second visit for cavity filling was complete and utter hell . I gave the okay for the papoose board IF my son WASNT COOPERATIVE. That was THE AGREEMENT!!! They brought in the board and said theyd PARTIALLY strap him down which even then I shouldve took my son and left but I unfortunately didnt which is my fault . They DIDNT PARTIALLY STRAP HIM DOWN THEY FULLY DID FOR NO REASON MY SON WAS COOPERATIVE. Not only did they do this to my poor baby but they kept insisting he get X-rays even though he was hysterical and gagging cause the camera was to big for his small mouth . They wanted to put him back in the board just to get these X-rays . They finally stopped after he wouldnt allow them and I was visibly getting ticked off . I would not EVER bring my child here again and I do not recommend anybody else take their children here unless they want to traumatize their babies which they did mine . My son was taken to a different dentist who doesnt believe in strapping down children and he wouldnt even let them touch him because of what smileland did to him . Now my son is terrified of the dentist and has to start all over with trust . Thats not okay and that shouldnt ever happen to children it should be a pleasant experience . Shame on you .

Treated my 7 year old daughter like a piece of meat. Doctor talked us into doing 6 root canals, 2 deep fillings and 2 regular fillings in one sitting! My poor daughter was deeply traumatized by the experience. The doctor injected her with linocane and immediately went to work drilling, no waiting to make sure the anesthetic was working at all. My daughter was crying so hard she couldn’t breathe out of her nose. The doctor never slowed down to reassure my beyond terrified daughter, and I wasn’t allowed to speak to my daughter or even touch her foot during the procedure. I’ll never take my children back here again. My poor kid was soaked with sweat from the bindings they put her in and the nightmare they put her through. They treat you and your children like garbage. Don’t let the cute paint and flatscreens fool you. They work on your child like a mechanic works on a car. Heartless and thoughtless. Unbelievable. Do not let them harm your child in for medical-cal dollars they way they did mine. After talking to one of their outreach personnel we were offered two movie tickets and an apology, saying the doctor and staff should have known better than to do that much work in one sitting. What the hell is wrong with you smileland? You’re on your way to a lawsuit if you keep these unscrupulous business practices up with children.

I’m leaving a review for both the Visalia and Tulare localions, because my children went to both locations. Please be cautious when your child has a filling done. I’m saying this because three of my four children that had fillings done at both of these locations ended up having issues between 3 and 4 months. The only reason my fourth child did not have any issues is because I requested her to be referred out to a children’s dental surgery specialist, because I did not want smileland to strap my child to a papoos (board) while they sedated her to work on her teeth. Since my other three children were having issues with the teeth that Smileland had already worked on, I decided to take them to a different dentist. What was discovered was very frustrating, because teeth that had been previously worked on at smileland the filling either had not been sealed properly or the tooth had not been filled properly (in this case the tooth continued to decay from the inside, underneath the filling, because Smileland did not drill down far enough to fill the filling properly). Insurance would not cover the teeth that needed to be filled properly, but they did cover the teeth that needed a root canal. I loved Smileland and so did my kids, because of the stickers and fun prizes they have to offer, but I would not recommend taking your children. Find a dentist who will do their job right!

Worst dental place to take a child to.They treat the child like garbage .The dentist speaks sloppy broke englishand cant understand a word she says .Rude , disrespectful, staff only concernedAbout the money and dont console the kids one bit . I asked the Dr. a question during the procedure like I was told I could and the very rude and disrespectful young girl told me to be quite because my son was screaming from the top of his lungs it hurts ouch stop and I told the rude disrespectful assistant if she was doing her job consoling my son I wouldnt have to ask any questions . They knew she was in the wrong and even switched her out with another assistant. She should be FIRED on the spot for inappropriate behavior and actions towards the children and parent.Its like putting your kid in a stray jacket and have to sit there and hear them cry their heart out because of the villainous staff and Dr.Dont know how parents would say they like this place for their kids . Very traumatizingFor a child and cant see how this horror show of a dental bussiness is able to retain their license . I even voice recorded my son in there to let everyone know about their vicious behavior towards my son and me .DONT LET YOUR PRECIOUS child go thru their meat market of a dental office . Its like a chop shop for kids .Do not take your kids here EVER .
