I didn’t have a dentist so I called their practice because I was experiencing pain in my back tooth. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. I was able to get an appointment the next day. Everyone there has amazing customer service. The dentist does a great job as well. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and available to help you. I like that there are no hidden fees when it comes time for payment either. They have a long term customer.

I have always had a great experience with the staff at the Art of Dentistry. Personally I see Dorfman as does the rest of my family. He is great with adults and children. He is professional and is great with patient interaction. I also have had no problems with the staff in the office. My hygienist is great, and all of the front office staff have been accommodating and helpful as well. I also appreciate all of the extra measures they are taking during this pandemic to ensure patients are safe.

My appointment was on Feb 6. But i just found out this email from the dental clinic. My friend referred me to Dr. Horowitz. Although it was a long wait I finally got my appointment with Dr. Horowitz. On the day of my appointment, while I was having my teeth cleaned, I was told that he took off for vacation. Thats nice! What is the use of waiting to have an appointment with him. Lesson, dentists are all the same, go to dental clinic near your place.

WOW, just WOW, never thought that I would look forward to Dentistry visits but Dr D and all staff was/is efficient yet gentle throughout the entire procedure(s) including billing. Since I am terrified by syringes, I insisted upon no local anesthetic. They initially questioned that decision but agreed to proceed with caution. The procedure was not painless BUT was amazingly tolerable. Wow, these folks are great at what they do and I am very greatful and happy to have found them. I highly recommend them to any and all looking to improve their dental health. 10 stars if I could, thank you.....much love!

I felt very safe coming in to get my cleaning. They screened me and my hygienist talked me through all the new safety steps that, we, as a team, have to go through now. Best dentist in Hampton Roads! The people are all great, very friendly and helpful. Dr Horwitz always has a great, positive attitude and explains everything he is doing. Went for my regular cleaning appointment with Jenny Ross. I had another good checkup and cleaning Tuesday. I am now on cleanings every 4 months instead of every 3 months because I am using my electric toothbrush twice everyday for at least 2 minutes each time. Jenny always gives me good feedback on how well I am brushing, flossing, water picking and gargling. Thanks for taking good care of my teeth for the last 18 years.

I have been going to this dental office for the past 25 plus years and I would not change a thing. Their office is 30 minutes from my home, but it is worth the travel. They are always on-time, super friendly, and very accommodating. The office is clean and the entire staff is great. When I do have to have dental work done, there is never an issue. The procedures have all been successful the first time with no pain and no follow up required. I have had the same hygienist for more than 10 years (my other one retired), and she is amazing. When anyone is looking for a dentist, I always suggest Dr. Horowitz and Dr. Dorfman and their practice.

I came here for a second opinion regarding a minor crack in my tooth. While my regular dentist couldnt offer any remediation beyond watch and wait, Dr. Dorfman offered to shave the tooth down ever so slightly so that when I bite, I wouldnt hit that tooth as hard. It made an immediate difference and now I can chew more comfortably on my right side again - a huge relief!!The office is very technologically advanced, with top of the line photographing instruments, x-ray capabilities, and more. I was very impressed with the knowledge of the dental assistants as well, who made a point of educating me about the technology and the remediation that was offered. All in all, I felt like a part of the conversation, which was a nice relief since it can be a little scary to go to the dentist sometimes. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone looking for an excellent dentist and team of professionals!

Terrible tooth/jaw pain increasing over a couple of days. The folks here got me an appointment within 24 hours. At the appointment, Dr. Dorfman and Jenny methodically went through all the potential causes, settled on the least invasive of checking/adjusting a crown, and proceeded to do so. Very gentle handling. I left with a primary plan, and a secondary plan. Great service!

There is nothing like walking into your dentists office and getting called back for your cleaning as soon as you are done signing in...and this happens EVERY SINGLE TIME...a sign of excellent schedule planning. In addition, my hygienist is same every time, so she knows my teeth and history. She is friendly, quick, skilled at cleaning gently, and most importantly thorough. Notably, they arent about upselling every chance they get either, which is what Ive dealt with many times in the past. Ill stick with Dr. Dorfman and his staff as long as we live in VA Beach. The doctors, hygienist and assistants are wonderful. The front desk seems to have an attitude problem. Not only with their other coworkers but to us patients as well. We know nobody wants to be at work but at least pretend while your there!

I have been going to Abbey Horwitz since I was a kid and now that I have a family myself it was important to me to make sure they too had a great dentist as well. Katherine by far is one of the best hygienist, but all the staff there is wonderful. This past appointment my whole family went as a group not only did the accommodate us all they made it a wonderful experience for my daughter whom was having her very first dental cleaning. Her hygienist made her feel comfortable and made her feel safe the entire time. My husband’s hygienist even allowed her to sit in with my husband to observe, talk about a team that cares about their patients and their level of comfort. My son loved his hygienist for talking him through the process and listening to his concerns. As we all are aware the dentist can be a scary place, but Abbey and associates make you feel like a family, they remember your name and treat you like more than just another set of teeth.

Abby is the best dentist to ever have worked on my teeth. Even though I brush twice daily, my mouth still produces a lot of plaque. Abby has me on a schedule of dental cleanings every 3 months now and that has greatly improved the health of my teeth. He has also replaced most of my old fillings teeth with crowns which have greatly improved my smile. Abby and his staff and are extremely knowledgeable in explaining the procedures and ensuring that no surprises occur. Id recommend Horwitz DDS & Associates to anyone who wants a knowledgeable and friendly practice to help them with their dental care.

I have always had a good experience here. Thus far, I only have to go in for my six month prophylaxis. My hygienist (Sara Jeffers) is always prompt, thorough, and takes time to share with me any condition she runs across during the procedure. Dr. Dorfman never fails to disappoint with his explanations which are concise and in laymans terms. Highly recommend this team.

Recently my insurance changed which made The Art of Dentistry out of network for me. Because this practice has provided impeccable service I decided to remain a patient.
