Everyone was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The dentist I saw was excellent and was able to provide insight and a direction for treatment for my long term TMJ that others have been struggling to help me with for years. The dental hygienists I saw, Ian and Devin, were also outstanding. Ian was very knowledgeable and explained things to me thoroughly, and Devin was very patient and gentle. The woman at the front desk was very sweet and had awesome energy. I highly recommend this place for patients who may need a little more TLC. I’ll be getting more work done later this week and will update after that appointment. So far, I am extremely satisfied!

Aspen dental on Virginia Beach boulevard is the best dental office in the whole state of Virginia. The dentists (Dr J, and Dr Pella) have an amazing bedside manner l, and are very knowledgeable about the information they present. The dental hygienist was very cool calm and collective, and you could just tell he knew exactly what he was talking about. Everyone person in this office from the front staff to the clinical staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I’m very excited to go back to this office to continue with the dental work they recommended. If I could give more than 5 stars for this review I would. Amazing job Aspen Dental.

The staff at Aspen Dental is very professional. I am usually terrified of the bite x-rays, but Mari made me so comfortable, she was patient with me and got me through all 13 x-rays with being in tears. Ian was amazing, gentle and very kind, he made sure I was comfortable, he announced every step he was doing to ease my nerves. Dr. Pella is absolutely amazing as well, he was knowledgeable and confident about my treatment plan and made sure I understood the plan. Im looking forward to my future visits.

Wish I could rate this place higher. Front desk receptionist was kind and professional. Dental assistant was kind and thorough. Was almost a perfect experience before the dentist himself opened his mouth and came barging in, rudely talked over everyone in the room, including my husband. Condescended us the entire time, interrupted us while we were talking, had little regard for what he or I had to say, made some passive aggressive jokes that made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable, and was eager to leave the room (we were eager for him to leave, too). By the time we were rushed out of the door, we are just thinking, is this guy serious...???? Unless they have other doctors accepting patients, we wont be coming back to this office. Politeness and common courtesy matters, personality matters, social awareness matters. Kids fresh out of college may be cheaper for these places to hire (the ONLY reason these people ever get hired), but experience is more important and worth paying the higher salary. Absolutely clueless.

This is a good dentist. I do believe the day I went they bit off a lot of the apple at once. I had a 10 am appointment. Was there a little before 9:45 and did not get seen until 10:33am. I was getting a deep clean. The process took until after 12:30. Due to them walking away for some time multiple times.one time was a little more than 15 min. They said it was to allow my mouth to get numb, but that happens fairly quickly. At first I was patient, but, the longer I sat there, the less patient and more anxious to leave I was. Communication through the process was great though. I would recommend them, however try to go at a time not too busy.

All of the staff were very professional, knowledgeable and personable. My appointment was at the end of the day and slightly complex, everyone that I came in contact with were very patient and pleasant. My overall experience was great, thank you to all.

Just got my first cleaning done @AspenDentel 4625 Va Beach Blvd. VERY impressed with the service! They were very thorough and so super sweet! Shea took amazing care of me , she was so sweet and talked to me through every step! She provided amazing service! I highly recommend Aspen!! They even have a TV in the paintent rooms, a 3D scan of your mouth without the gross gunky stuff they usually put in your mouth , and very clean over all!

Awesome experience. All staff are happy and vey profesional. My mom is on a wheelchair and the staff were carful and friendly. No waiting. Staff took the necessary time to go over every step of treatment.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The assistant was very thorough with the xrays, while making sure I was comfortable. Ian was a great hygenist. He explained everything as he went. Dr. Jay was tender on the sore tooth and made good recommendations as to plans we could make. Gabriel in billing helped me find a payment plan that worked in my budget. All over, a very satisfying appointment considering it was an emergency situation.

Ok so let me start by saying I had such a great experience everyone there is just so nice and very professional. From the time Ive been trying to get in for an appointment and the lady at the front desk was very very helpful in getting me in.. I know her name just dont want to spell it wrong. The experience was very pleasant. The receptionist, tech, hygienist and dentist were all thorough and explained what was going on through each phase. Politeness, detail oriented a 10 plus. Yes I would recommend Aspen Dental to anyone that need dental care.

The first time I went, they totally messed up my billing and it took many months to correct. I set up a second appointment and Ive left 2 messages for them to call me (because they never answer) saying its urgent because Im in terrible pain and theyve never called me back. And the first message was 2 weeks ago! So I called another dentist just now and they fit me in tomorrow morning, God bless them! So I called aspen and they answered this time of course and I canceled my appointment. I actually like the company, I went to an Aspen in MD and really liked them. Ive just had a terrible experience with this one.

The people was wonderful. The nurse was good. The Dr. Was excellent. They r wonderful people. I would advise anybody who is having trouble with their mouth to go there I do not know how the other dentist office in the area is but I do know the one I go to in Virginia Beach and the doctor is great

The treatment plan was changed which changed the charges, I got no phone call, the staff was not aware, I was allowed to pay what was discussed at the prior visit. Someone should have been able to explain the changes.The dental staff was great, the dentist was awesome, support staff was unaware.

I will change this review once I feel differently about Aspen Dental, but right now is not the case. I also want to apologize because I feel I am giving real Karen vibes in this review, but I am genuinely upset.This morning I had an 8am appointment scheduled and I arrived on time and I was told it was at 7am. I already received a text notification a few days prior and a voicemail yesterday confirming the 8am. I was told I needed to reschedule because there is nothing they could do today. Another thing, since my appointment was apparently scheduled for 7am, how come no one tried to call me for not showing up? To be clear, I was not confused about what time my appointment was, and it is additionally frustrating because I have to take time off work. Aspen Dental made the mistake.Also, how come every time I call their office, no one EVER picks up, or calls back? The week prior I had to reschedule this same appointment and I called and called to do so, even left voicemails, but no one called me back. The time they did call was at the time of the appointment to tell me I was late. To their credit, I explained the scenario and they apologized, but man.There are multiple aspects to customer service. In that regard, their staff is absolutely friendly and I appreciate that, but my experience with Aspen is that they are severely lacking in coordination and communication which is important for me.

Aspen Dental provided my sister a compassionate, thorough service today. They were kind and patient and very accomodating. My sister has a disability and they worked with it with no problems. They were thorough and friendly. The prices were good as well. They were honest about the services my sister needed and that was appreciated. I highly recommend!

They were very polite from the beginning, beginning with scheduling the appointment, the dentist was very nice and explained everything perfectly and he also gave me options and kept it real with me, his nurse was just as nice. They didn’t accept my insurance so they gave me a free consultation appointment and also found me coupons to reduce the expenses due to me technically not having eligible insurance for their company. They also allowed me to pay as I go. They are all great!

Very welcoming and personable environment. Staff appear to be knowledgeable and striving for efficiency, aimed at making sure you understand what they will be doing, and the best follow-up treatment, should there be any needed. State of the art equipment and relaxing atmosphere. The dental hygienist (Ian) and the dentist (Dr. Turkewitz) both have a bedside manner that makes the patient feel comfortable and right at home. First visit and I loved my experience.

My wife I had an appointment appointment was for cleaning. Turns out that we both received only one half of our mouth cleaned. After that we were charged $727.00, and never received an invoice of what we were paying for. Canceling further appointments. Left a telephone message to cancel future appointments until further notice. Never received a reply. Have never received a partial dental cleaning ever. Never had a billing problem ever before. Our insurance is with United Concordia of which we have become critical of. Canceling our insurance.

I was very relaxed and even commented to the dentist that I should have been coming here all of the time rather than patronizing other offices that were so far away from my home. Feeling very confident going back to my dentist at the Red Mill office during COVID19! There are many changes in place to protect the patients but I was even more pleased hearing Dr. Phaup, and my hygienist Kennady, explain how Aspen gave them all the tools they needed to feel safe and comfortable coming back to work too. I cant think of a better way to reassure a patient that they are in a safe environment. Wow! Best office, best staff!

I had a bad toothache. They were able to work me in to take care of my problem. When I went in I was nervous about what I was about to experience but I had the best experience ever. I had my problem tooth pulled but more importantly they really care about your teeth along with your well being. My tooth was out before I knew it. Very little pain. I highly recommend them as they have state of the art equipment and friendly yet respectful staffing.

I Had the worst experience of my LIFE! im still in lots of pain. I am a woman of color and im very offended by the horrible treatment i received. My temp crown fell out before i got out of the parking lot. My permanent crown fell out 4 days after visit. Filling came out also.( i couldnt make this stuff up ) Ive never had a bad tooth ache in my life until i visited this dentist. I cant really eat because im in soo much pain right now & its been over a month since my last visit. I Pray to God that this does not happen to anyone else. I Cry everytime i think about that horrible PAIN and torcher i went through and no one same to care. Not to mention the $300 plus bill i received for a deep cleaning etc that i didnt want or need. I Pray that can find a dentist to reverse all this pain in pressure i feel everytime i eat. I wish i would have done my research before i went to this office. Its All about the $$$$$ and no one cares. No Need For A Response !!

I was 10 minutes late which led to them having to reschedule me. I know I was late and thats on me. Im just annoyed I called twice on the way there to tell them I was going to be 10 minutes late and ask if I needed to reschedule and no one answered the phone despite it being work hours 👍

I absolutely loved my experience with them this week and I will definitely be coming back. I saw two dental assistants, a dental hygienist, the dentist and I’m not sure his official title but someone who went over billing and my insurance with me. I’m one of those people who hasn’t been to the dentist in 4 years until this past week, and they were all very polite, informative, and friendly, and there was no judgement whatsoever which I’ve always hated about going to the dentist in the past. They told me exactly what was going on with the tools, what was going on with my teeth, and were very thorough with covering billing.Aspen Dental blew it out of the park. We’re a military family and when we PCS I wish I could pick them up and take them with me, but I’ll enjoy them while I have them. ☺️

I went in thinking I had a cavity..turned out I didn’t I was grinding my teeth at night. They said I needed a night guard so I got one it works amazing! The office was very clean. The doctor was very kind and professional as was tha hygienist and all the girls there. Except one. Her name is SHEA! She was the rudest monster ! And she seemed to also bully her co workers. She is a assistant. What she really is is a true life horror show. When I told her that I never had someone talked to me the way she did. Her response was NOT TO YOUR FACE. I actually she was so scary I almost left afraid she would contaminate the tools on purpose. Its a shame because if it wasnt for her I would give 100 stars. My option she needs to guit and get a job at the zoo. She does not know how to deal with people. Huge chip on her shoulder. I feel sorry for the people she works with and clients who have to deal with this whatever she is.

I love all of them at Aspen Dental. Simone was amazing and Whitney is so friendly. Everyone I have come in contact with has been great. It’s so nice to be treated like a human, Aspen could give a lot of companies, training in how to treat their customers.

I went to aspen dental in virginia beach for extraction but they didnt do anything because I didnt have insurance at the time they were more about the money then helping me. the dentist didnt even do the extraction because I didnt have insurance at the time but I had cash. So they increased the extraction price. Aspen dental are not dentist that care about the patients they just want the money

We appreciated all the financial information for any future work he may need done. Dont trust them , they have the worst customers service ever , they have hidden billings , i went there twice and i did a full payment same day , then received a bill by male request more $ 110 , and when i called them they said you are fine , then another bill , and when i called they keep telling me that they will call me back to solve this , and they didnt and istead they send the amount for collections, they are cheaters and liers,i dont recommend them at all .

I had one filling done and tooth that had a filling that had falling out when the doc started to extract it and several complications he continued to resolve problem in a professional way with hardly no discomfort yes I will continue sevice with them

Great Customer Service, knowledgebase. Staff pleasant and I felt this was the right dental establishment for me because of the aforementioned compliments to Aspen. Glad I found them. Switching to a new dentist was not easy but Aspen made it happen!

Initially they give X-rays and financial consultancy to determine what needs to be done to your teeth and how to get it done. That was great. I felt confident about this company doing the work on my teeth. However I go in for my first visit after the consultation and loss my confidence. First I get my teeth cleaned which was fine but then I was informed that my teeth could not be polished (which is apart of the cleaning) because the equipment was down. This information should have been told to me prior to the procedure in order to reschedule so I could have the a full service. Then I would have had the choice to or not to leave out my polishing. However I had no other choice but to accept that I was not going to get the polishing because my insurance was not going to cover another cleaning. Then when I sat up I saw the tool he used for my mouth(which Im so sorry I didnt get a picture of) and they werent clean. I pointed that out to him(sorry didnt get his name) and he passed it off as corrosion. Then proceeded to scrape it off with his finger. It was coming off as he scraped it. This did not set my mind at ease because whether or not it was corrosion or dirt I didnt want it in my mouth. Then I go to a different room with different doctors for another procedure. However before they started the procedure I had to use the restroom. I was directed to the rest room in the waiting room(which I did not use)and it was filthy. Overall I would not recommend this place to anyone. Especially with all the money you pay for your teeth for areas in the facility and the cleanliness of the tools not to be up to pair is a waste.

I was very pleased with my experience at Aspen Dental. I have a very bad and painful infection and the staff (x-ray, hygienist and the dentist) were very gentle and caring. I will be getting dentures and Dr. Engle explained the whole process to me. I was given a prescription and Dr. Engle called the next day to check and see if I was doing alright and not having any side effects. The prices and options for the dentures were explained to me and I have a fantastic finance plan through Dental First Financing. I would highly recommend Aspen Dental to anyone!!!!

I showed up as a walk-in with a dental emergency. I fractured my front tooth and was anxious/worried about leaving with a missing front tooth. Not only did they care, they also made sure I was comfortable and had a front tooth to leave with. They made arrangements for me at the General Booth location, immediately, to achieve this as they didn’t want to rush. I highly respect that I wasn’t made to feel like a chart number but a patient who mattered. They don’t rush but they are prompt and get things done efficiently. I highly recommend them for anyone who has dental fears, kids, on-site denture needs or anyone looking to call them their dental home.

The Dentist and his assisting staff made me feel very comfortable. To say the least there were awesome. On the other as I was waiting in the lobby for my ride to leave the building I was approached two different time by one young questioning as to who I was waiting on, and went as far as to say, they was closed and it was only 1:00 p.m., closing time is 5p.m. That was inappropriate, and I took it as though she was rushing me out
