What is up with this office? I am hopeful that the actual doctor is far better than the staff. Requires patients to obtain and deliver their medical records before even allowing an appointment to be made. Worst MD office experience that I have had ever.

The doctors office is packed with patients and the doctors are only trying to get them in and out (no social distancing). Please do not waste your time. I have been to this place twice and will not return. Each time, the PA was quick to prescribe my child a medication without any test or examination. They request for you to return in 3 months to only do the same thing. I do not feel they care about the quality of care they are providing patience’s; only seeking to get you in the office just to file a claim with your insurance provider. A complete waste of time and gas. Google provides more help with diagnosis then they do! You deserve 0 stars.

Terrible office. Like others said no respect for anyone’s time at all, past appointments have run way over and today was the straw that broke the camel’s back. We had an appointment at noon and drove all the way from Lakeland. Arrived at 11:17 (a bit earlier than expected) so we waited in the parking lot til 1145 and then walked in and checked in. I was told some provider (who?) wasn’t there today, and that we have to wait in the car. The lobby was full and there were seats available but they don’t seem to care about social distancing because it was crowded. Not sure why WE had to wait in the car when no one else had to but ok. By this time it was nearly noon. We returned to the car to wait for the call they said I would receive when it was time to be seen. We waited. And waited. And waited. At 12:45 we’d had enough and proceeded to make the long drive back home. Tho the person at the check in counter said she’d call ME and confirmed my phone number, they called my husbands, who’s phone was on silent. We got home at 2pm and they had called at 1:15. An hour and 15 minutes after our appointment time. How long do you think people have to wait on you?? I can’t sit in Tampa all day! I wasted an entire day and gas going to and from this office for absolutely no reason, because we live almost 40 minutes away. I could have gotten important things done and sent my son to school. It’s obvious care here isn’t reliable and I will now be finding another neurologist. This is unfortunate because we have little to NO help with the asd issues my son has been having and these appointments only come once every 6 months. Driving so far to talk to someone who obviously knows nothing for ten minutes is again a complete waste of our time and gas. They only tell us to get him therapy (most places of which do not take his insurance) but it’s impossible as waiting lists are well over a year (and they’re aware of this). Hopefully I can find him a better doctor somewhere close to home so we don’t continue to deal with this ridiculous excuse for an office. Don’t waste your time here. WE were on time for your appointment and respected your office, do the same for your patients! If you’re lacking providers don’t make appointments for people that you’re unable to handle in a timely manner.

If I could I would put a BIG ZERO for his office. Dr.Jacinto wanted to do a test but did not even bother to let us know it might be expensive to do so... now it turns out that lab charged us over $2600 for a swab test and they are out of our insurance network (thats what I was told by my insurance). Only words I got from Jacinto office was well we dont have that pricing info and sorry cant help you. Thats sounds like a big BS cause it wouldve been much helpful if someone either Dr. Jacinto or his office staff , told us hey buddy the test cost a lot!!!!!! So Im stuck with this bill and in a pandemic how hard it is to pay this amount of money???? My suggestion????? If you can DO Not go to this guy, find someone better.....

He has been my doctor for a very long time he is by far the best doctor I can recommend. He will listen and take all your concerns very seriously. He is dedicated to the well Being of all his patients. I do not mind waiting in a doctors office since I know doctors need to take there proper times with all patients and all doctors offices will have a waiting time. So waiting has never bothered me . But he is a great doctor.

Dr. Sergio Jacinto, I am genuinely thankful for the referral which connected my daughter and me to your office; approximately eight years ago. Day 1, using the appropriate level of empathy, you never sugar coated my childs neurological condition and the long intensive journey ahead. Your direct, yet caring approach prepared me with the tools to help my child. Your experience, thoroughness, and critical thinking skills provided me with a step-by-step guide while advocating for her educational and health needs within the school systems and beyond. Several years later, with your guidance, she has made significant improvements which are allowing her to earn her standard high school diploma and attend college to become an agent fighting for equal rights and justice. Recently, she raised money in the community and purchased over one-hundred and sixty dollars worth of laundry detergent and donated to Grace Point Homeless Center. All in all, we need more dedicated, passionate, knowledgeable, and professional physicians and specialists as you!

We couldn’t have been more impressed with the quality of care we received today! Everyone took their time with all of our questions and concerns. The nurse Jessie was patient with our wiggly one year old. Dr Jacinto spent at least 30 minutes with us. His exam was thorough. He made it fun for our little guy as well as us. We felt at ease leaving having all of our questions addressed. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a pediatric neurologist! 😊

Amazing staff and service. Was referred to Dr. Jacinto by a family friend for our son who has slight developmental issues, and I see why she did so. It started with Jessie, who was the nurse who took us back to our room. Funny, practical, and made us feel like we were at home. Then came the doc, a slightly dry but 100% genuine and funny dude. HE SPENT ALMOST 45 MINUTES WITH US!!!!! Not sure where all these bad reviews are stemming from but I’m guessing these folks want to have their hands held through the whole visit and have facts sugar coated to them. He’s gonna give it to you straight whether you like it or not. I’ve never looked forward to the next visit with any doctor but this is the one I will be. Hope this helps in choosing your pediatric neurologist

We never had a chance to see the doctor himself. I had my referral in hand for both of my sons, the receptionist that answers the phone for scheduling, said that they do not accept TRI-CARE Prime, but they do accept TRI-CARE standard. That if we wanted to see that doctor we would need an out of network referral. How many potential clients did this girl lose for this Doctor? She really doesnt know what she is talking about. I have the referral numbers in hand. TRI-CARE already approved them to be seen there. When TRI-CARE APPROVED them to been seen there, the out of network referral WAS ONE IN THE SAME. TRI-CARE APPROVED IT PRIOR TO US GOING THERE! I even called TRI-CARE to verify. The representative said the same thing as I did. She even offered to call this front desk girl to explain what I what I was telling her. smdh. TRAIN your people, Doctor. Contrary to other beliefs, people look at your ratings before making a decision on choosing you. Especially those of us with kids.

Totally horrible. It is nearly impossible to make an appointment. First I call and they say I need a referral. No, I dont (my insurance doesnt require it even though I do have an HMO) but OK, whatever, I will get it faxed over. My pediatrician did it the same day. Then I call back, and they will not make the appointment without my sons social security number over the PHONE. Who does that? The insurance isnt even under his social, its under mine. Maybe most of his patients are Medicaid so it goes by the social, but we are not. Whatever, again, I hang up, go home, get his social out of the safe where I keep it because I dont want his identity stolen, and call back AGAIN. Now, they cant find my referral! You have GOT to be joking! I get the pediatrician to fax it again. I call again. Now they tell me the referral is not good enough because it doesnt include an expiration date and how many visits the primary care is allowing me. Um, excuse me, but that is NOT how my insurance works! You cannot treat people with a one-size-fits-all approach! And its great that he is good with kids but you have to deal with the parents too you jerk, we are the ones paying the bills after all! I do NOT recommend. His staff sounds very uneducated on the phone (they are probably horribly underpaid while the doctor lines his pockets) Two thumbs WAY down!!! Find ANY other doctor unless you want the run around. Why didnt the staff tell me EVERYTHING they needed the FIRST time I called instead of making me run around for a week?!

Sees the patient as an individual.I saw him as a child. I remember him suggesting I had ADD and though I wasnt allowed to keep him as a doctor, I havent forgotten that. He was the first doctor to ever address my psychiatric health.I have schizophrenia. Though he was technically wrong if I had been able to stay with him he could have helped lead to an earlier diagnoses through admitting there was a problem.I had since seen another pediatric neurologist who had me on a drug for epilepsy that caused psychosis as a side effect, and I lived with psychosis and seizures for years of my life. And why? Because other meds made me obese and the side effect for that drug (along with psychosis) was weight loss.I really wish I had stayed with this doctor instead.Parents need to keep in mind that their children are individuals that are going to have their entire lives effected by their choice in doctors.

Fast forward a few more years, I got a referral from his pediatrician to see Dr. Jacinto but they wont see patients back if theyve gone elsewhere. What kind of practice is this???? It was always the longest day, because we always waited for at least 45 minutes but usually more like 1-2 hours. Also we always had to pay cash, no checks or credit cards which seemed sketchy to me. I am also adding a review for this doctor due to how unacceptable his behavior is and was. I completely respect a Doctor that wants to spend as much time as needed to attend to his patient’s needs vs a quick diagnosis. However….there is a correct way of handling a patient’s question(s) when they inquire how much longer (after waiting 2 hours from the original appointment time). A Doctor should not raise their voice and yell “if they don’t want to wait, they can leave” especially around children. We are all adults and professional. The only person that gets hurt in this situation is the child. Now my son, needs to wait another couple of months until he can see a different doctor and practice.Being this was the first time we had seen this doctor and his reaction…it questions his true character and how he views his patient and the care he performs. Regardless how intellectual the gentleman is, it is certainly a negative mark on the practice and the relationships.

I would put simply a dislike but after todays rude behavior from his staff, I cannot even do that much. He overworks his staff to the point of illegal (no lunches, no breaks, late hours) consistently. He overbooks his patients daily and not just 1 or 2 but most time slots. Expect to wait hours, not just a few minutes no matter what appointment you go for. And the worst part is that this area EXPECTS to go to a neurologist for basic medication management. How ridiculous! So they overbook so many of those appointments that true neuro issues cant be seen for months at a time. Dont miss your appointment either - you wont get back in for months. And, he diagnoses a childs true medical issue as its in your head. Really? I cannot believe thats what all your years of medical practice are summed up as. I dont know why I wasted an entire month screwing around with this particular doctors practice. I should have just gone back to the pediatrician to get moving in the right direction. I love Dr. Jacinto and hes actually one of the best if not the best neurologist in Tampa. My problem is his office team in North Tampa specifically appointment schedulers. To put it nicely hes got incompetent people making appointments and reviewing referrals. I once sat at his office in Brandon for two hours because the North Tampa didnt think it was important to review a pre-faxed referral ahead of time. The Brandon team was apologetic and someone even admitted that they (Armenia team) usually dont know what theyre doing most of the times. My latest issue with them is charging me for a NO show free when their system failed to send out a reminder. The woman whom I spoke to even admitted that their records show that I didnt get a reminder but according to her her manager insisted that I had to pay $35 for a no show. Wheres your responsibility ms. Office manager? No one carries with them appointment cards anymore and IF I am responsible for confirming an appointment via your automated system (which I never did because you never sent a reminder) then YOU should be responsible for sending that reminder. Love the doctor, love the PA...cant stand the office people who make appointments and manage referrals!!

I been going to Jacinto for 3 years. the first year was every six months after that it became once a year, its obvious to me now that he is just keeping my son around for a check not because he cares. Everytime i left that office i left uniformed and confused, he was always in a hurry , gathered the information i had from my child wrote what he wrote and didnt explain much and never told me i can get a copy of his evaluation. I know now that the reason he didnt have a clear diagnoses was because everytime my child saw him he was exceeding and was right on track. He evaluated my child and it was clear that he did not have Adhd. The most recent visit he diagnosed my son with an unconfirmed diagnosis, which means its not certain he has that type of disability. He also put that my son has Adhd. Now here is where it gets crazy. NOT ONCE DID THIS DOCTOR MENTION TO ME THAT HE THINKS MY SON HAS ADHD, TO TOP IT OFF MY SON SHOWS NO SIGNS OF ADHD AND I NEVER HAVE HEARD ANYTHING FROM MY SONS THERAPIST OR TEACHERS THAT WOULD MAKE THINK HE SHOULD GET EVALUATED FOR ADHD SIGNS. I FEEL LIKE THIS DOCTOR HAS GIVEN MY SON A FALSE DIAGNOSIS ON PAPERWORK SO HE CAN KEEP HIM AROUND.P.S I NEVER HAD ANY ISSUE WITH THE LADY WHO WORKS IN THE FRONT DESK, SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN NICE. BUT THE LAST ASSISTANT TO BE TAKING MY SONS VITAL SIGNS WOW, MY SON WAS BEING SHY AND SHE TOLD HIM SHE DIDNT HAVE ALL DAY.WHAT IF MY SON WAS AUTISTIC OR ECT. THATS OBVIOUSLY NOT THE JOB FOR HER IF SHE DOESNT HAVE PATIENCE FOR CHILDREN.

The doctor immediately saw there were abnormalities in the brain waves on the left side of his brain and promptly started him on anticonvulsants. This should have been done two months ago when we saw Jacinto after his first seizure. He didnt pay enough attention to detail to the results of my sons EEG to notice that there were abnormalities. And he didnt give a crap enough to even call us and tell us the results. And now Im stuck paying this quack tons of money that I should be giving the doctor thats actually helping him. LOVE Dr Jacinto AND his staff. I have 2 kids with ADHD and one of those 2 has epilepsy. They are very thorough in their testing and explain the results immediately. We have tried a handful of medications for my daughter with epilepsy, Dr Jacinto didnt stop until we found the perfect med and dose. He would call me personally every time she went to the hospital with a seizure to check on her and to explain any changes in medication. I have never had a problem making an appointment, they are very accommodating. My daughter has been seizure free for 6 months! They are both doing extremely well in school due to their ADHD meds. We couldnt be happier.

Horrible esperience, wait time is at least 1 hour when running on time, and just to be seen for 5 minutes. I assume is due to double booking since is one of the few places that take mcd ins.

When we first met Dr. J in January of 2012, my son was just 3 years old and went unconscious with no explanation. We were rushed to the hospital and admitted for testing, both neurological & cardiac, and in that same hospital stay he diagnosed my son with complex partial seizures after a 48 hr EEG. I was a scared and sensitive mom, and I admit at first I found Dr. Jacinto abrupt when explaining my sons diagnosis, but he was amazing with my son so I remained neutral. We saw him a few more times in his office, he was never rude, but definitely to the point. He also always reached out to connect with my kiddo. We moved out of state for 2 years and saw 3 different neurologists under my sons SSI; One who barely looked at my son and was incredibly rude to me, another who never returned calls or had time to see him, and the last who I had to take out extra student loans just to pay extra for because he wasnt in network, but I was desperate for someone to care for my son and treat him properly. Admittedly, the 3rd doctor was amazing (imagine that)...but I went broke in Georgia trying to get my son help. After experiencing those doctors over two years, I moved back here 6 months ago and immediately made an appt for my son to see Dr. Jacinto, appreciating what I couldnt totally before. He was accessible, he was competent, and he cared about my son. He spent 20 minutes or more with us just catching up on everything my son had experienced, both connecting with and evaluating my son, and then formulating a plan of action. I know now that as long as we are here, I will trust him completely with my sons care. His job is to evaluate, treat, and care for my childs needs (not mine) which he does an exemplary job of. I highly recommend him and would refer anyone I cared about to his practice.

The Worst person ever. Rude and feels like he just do not care. I went to see him from referral through Dr. for some advice regarding ASD. my son is 2 and not yet speaking. He was crying in clinic and the moment Dr came to office and look at my son he decared him ASD. He did not check him well or try to break a conversation with kid. I will never ever recommend or tell any one to stop at his office. I felt like I want to punch him on face when spending 30 seconds with a kid and says he is ASD. I would not give him single star. Please see some other Dr. for any Neurological issue or any kids care.

Worst experience ever! I finally have the emotional strength to write a review. The subject was just so sensitive to me two years ago. I was very hurt and bitter about the resulting further mental and physical delay my son experienced because of his offices lack of urgency and mistakes. Went here for about a year and was severely mistreated and disrespected. Dr. Jacinto is rude and sarcastic. I had to endure it that long because I was putting my sons needs first and didnt want to change doctors in the middle of his seizure treatments. Staff is irresponsible. Dr. Jacinto called me a bad and unfit mom and threatened to call social services because I was a day late ordering inportant meds that arrive from a natial pharmacy. I was well aware of the gravity, but my son was having so many medical issues at the time! I acted ahead of time, and contacted his office to secure the proper meds. He was not out of meds yet, and I had time to secure them meds locally with his help. My sons therapists, doctors, my family and friends were absolutely shocked at this because theyre all too familiar with me and how much of an advocate I am for my son! Im not perfect, but I certainly go above and beyond to ascertain that my son is happy, healthy, and taken care of. He made me cry in his office and was un-phased by me. I will add details when I have time (edit this). I am so relieved we never have to go here again. My toddler is better off with a more thorough and caring staff. They are dismissive and make lost of mistakes. Im happy to travel down to St. Petersburg to see Dr. Winesette!

My son had a seizure the day prior and we had never experienced this before. We were referred here to get an EEG and further diagnosis. We waited an hour and then when we were called they refused to see my son as he was not vaccinated. What kind of a horrible person would refuse to see a child who is possibly having seizures just because they were not currently vaccinated. This offices doctors perhaps need to go re read the hippocratic oath.

I felt very bad this doctor treated me horrible I took my child with one year he told me that he saw something but he was too young to diagnose it and he did not diagnose it I waited when my daughter was born I took her one year for the same symptoms as my child already He was older and I went with the two of them, I had no one to leave my 3-year-old son with, his father works and in this country he cannot stop working, when I came to the office my son would not stop moving and he told me It is impossible that he can evaluate La Niña like that, I told him that I had no one to leave him with, and very contemptuously he told me and where is theFather of these children, I answered working, that is not a way to deal with patients and it is a 3-year-old boy with characteristics that he must be used to dealing with every day. We do not all have the same possibilities of paying a person as take care of us Children, I do not recommend him at all in the end he did not attend me for that

Super recommended, I have a child with autism, I was diagnosed when I was 18 months old, I went to another neurologist and they were quite cold and cruel to me, I had millions of questions and a lot of confusion and sadness, they changed their sleeping medication over the phone, without even give me an appointment, thank god I found Sergio Jacinto, and although I already had a diagnosis, with the clarification of all my doubts, I think it was the longest consultation of my life, he sat with me and told me everything I wanted to know and much more, I think about that day and even tears come to me, he was very kind, I understand, I really feel calm that he is the doctor of my son who is also called Sergio JJ, really if he could give him more stars I would give them to him, and I recommend it ufff with his eyes closed, the girls ahead are super great, the cleaning everything, without so much waiting, I say the best, thanks Jacinto, for taking so many years of study to give him the attention to your patients of super quality and about all tranquility to mothers, blessings

I only use it, because I dont speak English and my daughter needs the service, it has always been deficient and sometimes the assistants put a bad face on you, for a sleep study, the person who did it was cleaning in the same room and entered the light through the windows, while my daughter was supposed to fall asleep, another time, when I asked the neurologist about a medication adjustment for my daughter, she answered haughtily, you tell me Im here to do what you Tell me, you are my employer! What do you want
