Best dentist I’ve ever been to!!!! And I’m not even saying that to say it. The front staff is super friendly and efficient!! The dental technician was excellent, makes great conversation, has good manners, definitely makes you feel welcomed. The doctor was super friendly, explained everything she was doing, and even asked if I had any concerns I wanted to share with her!! They play lovely music like Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, Al Green, Marvin Gaye. The vibe is just unique!!! The hygienist is very explanatory, super gentle, and very friendly! Dr Avila and her entire staff are just amazing! They are professional, gentle and kind! From the front desk to the hygienists and to the doctor, it’s a first rate, well-run, clean and amazingly compassionate practice. All of the staff members learn your name on the first visit! They strictly follow CoVid procedures from the moment you arrive at the door. Everything is explained in easy layman’s language (not made overly complicated with technical jargon) and you are given a recommended treatment plan, if needed, without needless and ridiculous up charges! Everything from routine exams and cleanings to cavity fills, dentures, complicated crowns and whitening are available (and more) and can be done in this one stop practice. This is the place you would recommend, without reservation, even to your mother!! Dr Avila and her staff genuinely care about each of their patients! After years of living in Tampa, I have FINALLY found a practice I trust!!! I cannot say enough great things about Dr Avila! This office is a Tampa gem!!

What Ive experienced since having the partials put in has not been good, its difficult to swallow my saliva and I tried to eat soup and was unable to. I hope it works better as I wear them awhile, but pretty traumatized right now.

Unclear about prices, didnt remember all the services included when I got a whitening kit with my cleaning. I had to remind them both of the deal (they posted online) and what was included. Additionally, the person doing my cleaning was pretty rude when I asked for a break because she had my mouth open for a really long time.

I called on a day that the office was closed and the dentist still picked up. Although they were fully booked, she managed to squeeze me in the next day because my insurance was expiring soon. Ended up needing two fillings, it was quick and painless. Dr Avila explained everything she was doing and made sure I was comfortable. The staff was very nice and patient. I love Sunshine Dentistry!!! 2 years ago I went and the experience was great! After that visit I started going with both of my kids and husband. My 3 year old son now loves going to the dentist. The staff is always so welcoming and happy! The office is cute and cozy. I recommend it to anyone!!!!

They made getting established and first time visit to the office easy and efficient. They are very caring and very concerned with your care and comfort. Ive been getting dental care here for about 5 years. The staff is great ! They are always friendly and very knowledgeable. Most importantly, Dr.Avila never tries to push unnecessary services or deliberately upcharge. She explains the work needed and gives an accurate estimate before starting procedures.

I gave 1 star as I did have an appointment, however went in to have my teeth cleaned since it has been 2 years. When I got there one person was showing the assistant how to put together the mouth xray film holder, and then I had to listen to them talk in Spanish behind my back. The xrays were more painful than normal and when I got done was told I would need to return to get my teeth cleaned! Since I went there only to get them cleaned, I did not figure they would basically attempt to extort more money from the insurance by billing two separate trips. Other dentists are doing this scheme also in the Tampa area I have discovered, but this is bad business any way you look at it. It took a while but I found a much better dentist.

The best detal office in Tampa. I had two appointments with Aspen Dental and they canceled them both. Canceled one because I didnt confirm my appointment on time. I called Sunshine Dentistry they saw me right away. The staff and service was very excellent. I would highly recommend.

Dr. Avila was great, very gentle and made me feel comfortable. What I liked the most was how honest she was. I went to her because I thought I needed two fillings in between two teeth. Dr. Avila explained to me that after removing the first cavity she could see better the other suspicious area and that the good news was I did not have a second cavity there! So I only needed one filling! That made me very happy😄

It took me a long time to find a Dentist that I could trust. Dr. Avila is a very caring, compassionate and skillful dentist. I appreciate that she is conservative with my treatment and does not try to sell me on stuff I do not need. The office staff is also very nice. You will not regret giving Dr. Avila a chance!!!

Waits were brief, and fresh coffee and TV made the time fly by.Dr. Avila is so kind and knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all my questions. Such a great experience, compared to the Corporate dentists nearby, where you never see the same dentist twice and where my time is not treated with any respect.Three crowns later and two fillings later, I have a brand-new smile. Dr. Avila is great and turstworthy. Other dentists suggested me to get deep cleaning and four fillings for no reason and she provided a true opinion and suggested alternatives to get my gums healthier. Instead of four I needed only two fillings. I really like her and would go there again.

I wish I would have found this place sooner. I have been at this office a little over a year and its always a pleasant experience .The office is run efficiently, the staff is so nice and accommodating and the pricing is fair and reasonable. They never try to over sell all the bells and whistles. They tell you what you need to do and let you make decisions based on your schedule and finances.

Dr Avila here is very good at explaining the pathology and procedures. I have been to two places before I came here for the second opinion. The doctor at previous place wanted me to get extra unnecessary procedures on my theeth/gums and never explained why. I am glad a found this place and they took care of everything. I highly recommend this place.

Went here for years with my whole family. Now theres a whole new staff it feels like. It wasnt as welcoming or quick as before. I waited for over a half an hour after my scheduled appointment. Then the cleaning was the worst Ive ever gotten. My front teeth were visibly cleaner than the sides, I got water sprayed all over me, they didnt seem to know how to use the tools properly, and they made my gums bleed like crazy. I take pretty good care of my mouth, and yeah, Ive bled a bit at a cleaning, but she was soaking up blood with a cotton ball and it was a lot. Ive never been through anything like it and I was highly disappointed. I miss the old hygienists and I probably wont be back.

Everyone there were so nice and helpful, and they answered all my questions, they didnt rush me in and out like most doctors do which is very nice, I would be glad to refer people to their office.
