Dr. Cowan is by far the best dentist I have ever seen. I started seeing him for some dental work when I lived in Tampa, and when I recently retired I moved to Dunnellon (about 100 miles north of Tampa). I still make the drive from Dunnellon to Dr. Cowans office for my appointments. I cannot imagine ever going to another dentist. I had a crown placed today and could not be happier with the end result. His hygienists, front desk professionals, and assistants are all great. I am a patient for life.

Simply the best!! From the front desk, (Hope), to the dental hygienist, (Brittney) to the dentist, (Dr. Cowan)! This office has 100% of my confidence. Definitely recommend.

This is one of the friendliest, and professional Doctors offices I have ever been too. They know your name and your family and care about you as a patient. The dental work is always extremely well done.They make you feel like a family member when you visit. I have lived all over the country and have had some good dental care, but none even compares to how good Dr. Cowan is. His staff is extremely well trained.

I am updating my review. I have been coming here for years now. The doctor has done a good job of picking staff. They are very competent, friendly, and professional. They do not seem to have much turnover either. The atmosphere is relaxed and I am always called by name and treated with respect and kindness. Dr. Cowen is gentle and does things right the first time. Keagan has fitted me twice for a crown. Best attention to a crown fitting I have ever had. I know they will be comfortable, strong, and look good upon completion.Tatiana does my cleanings and they dont hurt and she is pleasant. I miss Ashley but I am satisfied with Tatianas cleanings.Note: I am not anxious in a dentist chair. Front desk staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. Dr Cowan is only in it for the money and doesn’t care or take into consideration for what the patient wants and asks for. I will never go back here again and already made a formal complaint to m insurance company. Thanks for leaving me in pain and not caring

Dr. Cowan is top notch! Hes compassionate, talented, and an artist when it comes to teeth. I had several dentists in Tampa over the years but have found my forever dentist. His office is clean and state-of-the-art and his entire staff is warm and caring. They will work with you on insurance and financing. I highly recommend them.

Having neglected my teeth for a few years, I needed a new dentist quick, as I just moved to the Tampa area, and I lost a filling, leaving a large hole in my upper right molar. I was referred to Dr. Cowan, by a good family friend. I just finished my second appointment today, where I got my temporary crown done, my first appointment was xrays, and a thorough cleaning. My experience with the office staff was excellent. They have the covid situation down, took my temp, as I arrived, filled out a simple form, basically saying I didn’t have symptoms of covid. During my initial appointment, the office staff did not push, or try to sell me on a lot of unnecessary dental work, but rather laid out a very competent plan, including my new crown, that was the pressing issue, as well as went over all the costs involved, which was very reasonable. They went the extra mile, and extended my crown appointment , with no hassle, so that 8 could secure new dental insurance, to offset my costs. Fast forward to my appointment today. It was for 10:00 am. I was brought back at 9:58am, which is a very important point, as the dentist is stressful, you def don’t want to wait an extra half hour to an hour, to be brought back. The staff in the back, the assistants and Dr Cowen were awesome, from start to finish, and worked as a team, one cohesive unit. They told me what to expect, what the stages were in getting my crown accomplished, and how long each stage would take. Each part was accomplished, as explained, and I think done to perfection. Dr Cowen is a machine, and certainly made an unpleasant procedure, no problem. My mouth was numbed properly, so that I didn’t experience any pain at all,,,none.....you can certainly tell he is super skilled, and didn’t leave me in the chair, for one extra minute...the hole in my mouth, was not small, or minor, his part of the drilling, and making the mold for my temp crown, Imyhink only took about 20 minutes. The assistants finished up in a timely manner, and took great care with me, as I have neck issues, and siting in the chair itself, reclined, was the toughest part for me. I am a busy person, as are most people I’m not a big review guy, but when I returned home, I really wanted to spend a few minutes, to thank them for an excellent job, as I really appreciate everything they did for me. No one asked me to write this review, I don’t know anyone personally in the office, I am a 100 percent new patient, and this review is 100 percent accurate. If you are reading this, and need a dentist, you have certainly found the right office. You won’t be disappointed, and I hope this helps. I will use Dr Cowen for as long as I am in Tampa, he is an excellent dentist, knows his stuff for sure . Great office.

I have been seeing Dr. Cowan since I was a teen and trust him completely. He and his team always make you feel comfortable and welcome & make sure you understand all options and costs. Dr. Cowan & his hygienists all have a gentle touch. Debbie is amazing and even held my hand through a procedure when I was very nervous. Keagan is a perfectionist and does a masterful job fitting trays and making crowns in the office.Selfishly, I dread the day Dr. C retires! Highly recommend.

I really dont like going to the dentist but so far Dr. Cowan and his staff (Dan, Melissa, Debbie) have been great. If your appointment is at 2pm you will be in at 2pm... and they are pretty quick! I got 2 crowns and 1 filling in 2hrs... it was awesome! I will recommend him anytime!

The staff and Dr. Cowan are amazing. They take really good care of me and my teeth. My most resent work done was a couple of implants and a crown on my left bottom side. After the first set was in I notice my bite wasnt right, went back and doc made a new set and Im doing great! Extremely happy with his work. I hardly ever write reviews, but decided that I needed to in this case. After having a hard time with my insurance company recommending at least 3 different dentists that no longer accepted my insurance, I finally came across Dr. Wesley Cowans Practice. I must say that talking to Debbie calmed me down and really was a huge decision maker in me selecting him as a dentist. She has excellent customer service skills and is a key asset to the practice. Even though I will not be able to afford the root canal that I need to save my tooth, I will definitely be coming back and bringing my children there as well. Thanks Debbie and thanks Dr. Cowan! :)

Dr. Cowan is such a sweetheart! Hes very caring, gentle and actually listened to my concerns. The office is clean and bright, unlike some of the other places I have been too. The office staff is also very nice and overall professional. I felt like all my needs were being addressed and felt like I was in good hands. So glad to found Dr. Cowan!!

Had the best, most hassle free cleaning of my entire life. I think my hygienists name was Zooey, or Z-something, she has only been cleaning for less than a year but did the most thorough job I have ever experienced. And Dr. Cowan is awesome, as always.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cowans for several years now. I am a healthcare professional and generally very picky about my own care. I also have had some very significant dental issues that needed addressing. Dr. Cowan and his staff are excellent and very caring. IMHO, he goes above and beyond to insure that his patients are very well taken care of. Every single one of his staff are very professional and immediately put you at ease when you go in there...whether it is routine care or other more complex issues.

Debbie is always so nice on the phone and in person and Tatiana has given me great tips that have improved my oral health care.

Dr Coward is Dr Jekyll Mr Hyde! I did my research and read positive reviews before deciding to go with this office. 1st visit he was extremely polite as he criticized Dr Williams implant that he had to fix. I had a new flipper made it was perfect and purchased a teeth whitening system in preparation for my permanent crown. He won me over with his consultation. I returned for both me and my son cleanings. Fast forward..I returned to have a flipper replaced being I am unable to have the $3000 work completed for my crown. The hygienist making the new flipper seemed like a student and I knew we would have problems but I allowed her to do her job..I return and as I expect the work was amateur. The tooth was wide amd not the size of my original tooth. Let me add this is my FRONT tooth so extremely noticeable! She made it over and I return today. It looked nice and they fixed the wide uneven tooth but it was uncomfortable. I provided feedback which was my bottom tooth was hitting the back of the flipper..she defended and gave every reason why? The 1st flipper made fit perfect why was this any different..Only difference was the person making it..Dr Coward came and evaluated the flipper and too was defensive. He told me they had spent too much time and repeated many times it would not be perfect and he could give me my money back and I could leave!!! He repeated I can give you your money back rudely! He clearly had no interest in customer satisfaction. I responded I didnt want a refund I needed the flipper. He was very clear he had no intentions of fixing the mistakes. Stay clear if you want what you pay for done right bc this Dr is satisfied with giving sub par work...1st sign he was Dr Jekyll Mr Hyde was my last cleaning.. I truly thought It was a dentist filling in. He was not the friendly Dr he protrayed. I honestly thought this isnt the same guy..his entire mood and demeanor was dark... between seeing patience he sits in his office in the dark...weido! If you want comfort and quality and not just appearance DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! He actually had the nerve when he finally stopped arguing and file the tooth down to ask was it still hitting the bottom teeth. Why ask when you have told me if it doesnt you arent doing anything except give me a refund make me mad and kick me out! I saved myself the frustration didnt answer and walked out! POOR SERVICE AT ITS HIGHEST! APPALLED...BEWARE!

Warning - I called this dentist office to ask if they do the Invisalign retainers (Vivera) they told me that they did. They also said that I could save my impressions (red flag) and come back and have them redone for $50 when I needed new ones. I know with Invisalign this is not the process. I called back to cancel my appointment and asked if they had the Invisalign Vivera Retainers and they said yes, but they called them the Essix Retainers. These are NOT Invisalign retainers they are made in their labs. The women at the front desk is rude and Dr. Cowan is NOT an orthdontist, he is a DENTIST. BEWARE of getting any treatment done at their office.Note to office: The right thing to do would have been to apologize for your confusion between the two retainers (Invisaligns and yours) not tell me that Dr. Cowan doesnt feel comfortable making you a retainer because you may be unhappy with it and to call an orthodontist in the area.I will contact Invisalign and let their office know you are telling patients that the retainers they are receiving are Invisaligns. Please know that Invisalign is a brand it is not any clear retainer or tray.
