I made an appt with this office over 3 weeks ago. At the time of my appointment I advised the gentleman that the patient was in foster care. He said no problem and to bring the paperwork. When I arrived for my appointment I handed over the only guardianship paper all foster parents receive from the sheriffs office at time of placement. This doctor turned us away and refused to see us for our consultation because she wants a court order with a seal on it stating that I have guardianship of the child. I asked if she needed the CW to fax paperwork over like a shelter plan but nope! Only wants a court order. Anyone that knows anything about foster care knows that we are given 1 piece of paper and that is it. For the 100s of foster parents in the New Tampa and Wesley Chapel area, do not waste your time making an appt and coming to this office. I took time off from work and took him out of school for nothing. Because apparently she refuses to see children who are under the protection of the state. I have already reported her to the state, CMS, BBB, the child’s health insurance and to OSHA. But please feel free to do it as well and spread the word. To the doctor of this practice: you should feel ashamed of yourself!
