Dr Behr is one of the better physicians I have seen. He seems to be genuinely interested in getting his patients the best care available. I would recommend him to anyone.

Had a great experience with Dr. Behr. Had injections on both sides of my lower back for pain. Hardly felt the injections at all and had relief almost instantly. Still have some ache but nothing like the pain from before. Dr. Behr and his staff took care of me from beginning to end and it was greatly appreciated as I was I somewhat apprehensive about the procedure. Certainly wont be for the next one. James Baer corrected my back problem that had been causing me so much pain for over thirty years. I injured my back at Peabody Coal in a rock fall. They offered to pay one hundred percent for the surgery in 1982 the surgery would have been very expensive but the doctor told me that it might be better or worse after surgery. So I declined the surgery. DrFrank Gonda my family doctor referred me to Dr James Baer. He took the x-rays said he could help me and he has. I am now ninety percent pain free thanks to James Baer and Frank Gonda referral was who did me the greatest favor in my life.

I would say that out of all the physician care I have received more my back injury, Dr. Behr has been one of the most pleasant to deal with. When you receive treatment and the doctor tells you thank you for allowing them to give you care afterwards is mind blowingly refreshing. Cudos to your care and outstanding manner.

Dr.Behr, his PA Kelly, and staff are all top notch. Its the perfect blend of not waiting long to see them and getting out fast. But not feeling rushed when you go back. Theyve got the best customer service!

I had an epidural yesterday by Dr. Behr. He, and the staff were very considerate of my pain and limitations. I was waited on promptly and courteously. The procedure went smoothly. Afterwards, he and the staff made sure I was ok before I was allowed to leave. Also, at the initial consult, he took the time to explain all that was wrong with me and my options, and making sure I understood thru my intense pain at the time. Thank you Dr. Behr, my pain level is greatly less today.

Saw Dr. Behr some years ago for chronic neck and back issues- nothing significant could be found and PT was minimal help. Here I am again, still hurting, still miserable so it was time to try again!It was nice to get my X-rays done in office before the doc came in so we could get straight to the issues. Dr. Behr (and all staff) respected COVID-19 precautions while still giving thorough, friendly care. He was patient, attentive and worked WITH me on our plan for my care rather than trying to write me off with a prescription and follow up.Even though the initial X-rays did not show any obvious major issues, Dr. Behr did not discredit my level of pain and increasingly limited abilities simply because it wasn’t visible. We discussed further work ups with MRIs to look deeper into the issues and were able to schedule me for the next week!!He worked with my PCP’s current med regimen and adjusted my dosages rather than push brand new meds. I have confidence that Dr. Behr and my care team will help me get some of my life back from chronic pain. and I definitely recommend!!!! Thank you Dr. Behr and team!NKH

Worst doctor in Spartanburg, avoid him at all costs! If I could leave zero stars thats what he would get, totally unprofessional treatment. Our 1st meeting I was told he didnt trust me, wth! If you dont trust me how am I supposed to trust you have my best interest at heart, and he didnt. I was constantly interrupted by him yelling shes projecting, shes projecting, so loud the nurses could hear him, he sat there glaring at me maybe 10 minutes all while I kept asking him to stop because he was frightening me, I dont know this person, I dont know what he is capable of. He threatened me and Ill be damned if Im going to pay a doctor to abuse me! He totally crossed that professional line with me when he refused to stop, my next step will be to file a grievance with SC medical board, Im sure Im not the only one he has treated this way. By the time I got home my b.p. was 201 over 120, I was on the verge of a stroke or heart attack, it took me 30 minutes to get home so Im sure it was way higher than that. I had a cortisone shot 2 hours earlier which caused my b.p. to go up anyway and he knew this, he could have killed me that day just by the stress he imposed on me. Never again, if anyone thinks about going to this so called doc think again! He only cares about himself, worst doctor I have ever seen😒 avoid him at all costs 😕

I took my father to see Dr James Behr for a work related back injury. He also has nerve damage to his leg. For this reason my father cannot work and is practically bed ridden. He cant even get out of bed without help. During his visit Dr Behr very rudely suggested that he is being lazy and he just needs to get up and do more. Very easy to say when you arent injured and have no idea the amount of pain someone is going through. My father has always been a very hard worker and and amazing provider or his family. So for someone (especially a specialist who is supposed to be helping) to make assumptions like that is absolutely ridiculous. My dad told him that he was not going to talk to him that way and the Dr started yelling that he wish my father would leave and not come back. Finally the Dr walked out of the room. Worst care physician ever! Nobody deserves to be talked to the way my father was. This man should not be treating patients!

Dr. Behr is very thorough and attentive. He explains his diagnosis and treatment plans effectively and has a good and caring bedside manner. I was surprised to see his bad reviews and frankly I dont believe that is the way that it happened...I cant imagine Dr. Behr yelling at anyone. Theres one in every crowd.
