Ive been her patient for 13 years, and shes the best by far. I just found out bet office had been closed since February. I was not contacted by phone or by letter about this. A friend just so happen to get a text from someone she knows asking if she had found a new neurologist. She text me to see what was going on. I had no idea either. I called the office and was told she retired and my records had been sent to another Dr that Ive never even heard of. I wouldve liked to have chosen my own doctor. Im going to truly miss her, but this lack of communication was very disappointing. She still gets 5 stars. She had taken good care of me for 13 years.

I was referred by the hospital for headaches that are causing me to fall down. I called them the same day I left the hospital and several days more, never did receive a return call. I called back today and after being put on hold immediately was told that the paperwork I had been given for referral was no good and it has to come from the hospital itself. The hospital is not that easy to get ahold of. I saw Dr. Saad 15 years ago and I think she’s a wonderful doctor but her office staff could use some upgrading. I pay to see a doctor, they don’t pay me. When you pay for a service you should be treated a certain way. This is not the only neurology office available.

No one goes to this type of doctor unless there is a problem. The fear and possibility of permanent damage is real. My doctor sent a referral to Dr. Saad on July 10, 2019. I waited a week for them to contact me about an appointment but never heard anything. So the following week I called them just to make sure they had received the referral. I was greeted with hold please and automatically placed on hold for over 5 mins. Referral was there but I was told they had no idea when they would get around to making appointments for referrals. As of today, 8/5/2019, still no word from this office. I took care of my elderly parents for years and I myself have visited several doctors. NEVER have I had an experience like this. Even if you have to wait a month or two for an appointment at other offices, at least they contact you and not blow you off on the phone like how it was here. The surgeon my doctor referred me to on the same day contacted me within a week. This is a messed up situation all the way around. A little care and compassion goes a long way in this type of business. If a person doesnt have that, maybe should find a new line of work.

Dr. Saad is, by far, the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of meetingShe is remarkably very well educated, precise in her explanations, and awesome in her dealings with her patients. Her staff has never been any less than 100% polite and knowledgeable. You folks who may have experienced a bad impression; I suggest you find a mirror. There in, you will find the answer to most of your frustrations.

Dr. Saad is awesome! Yes you do have to wait awhile when you go but her caring and compassionate nature is well worth it. She is also very knowledgable in multiple areas of neurological issues . My husband and I both see her. Her staff has improved from way it was a year or so ago. They do answer the phone and return calls! Best neurologist!

Dr. Saad is well respected by her patients. Its a busy practice, but she is experienced and cares deeply for everyone. Neurology is tough, but she works hard for the best diagnosis.

Great physician; but, patient support services could be improved. It is very difficult to reach the staff by telephone. I suspect the root of this problem is how busy Dr. Saad is rather than incompetence on the part of the staff.

My 80 year old mother who had suffered a stroke in August of 2018 was referred by a cardiologist to Dr. Saad in early December of 2018 for a head MRI review to assess any possible damage. She couldnt be seen until late January. When my mother saw Dr. Saad, she was told that Dr. Saad had received no information from the admitting hospital where my mother was initially treated and as such could do nothing for my mother other than attempt to receive this information and schedule another appointment which is what happened. My mother was scheduled to see her again after about 6 weeks at which time my mother was in the front waiting room and had a coughing fit from a lingering cold at which time an office staff member came out from her desk and demanded, not asked but demanded my mother wear a mask to prevent spreading the flu. My mother did not have the flu and had seen her family doctor about her cold and had been diagnosed with a cold. She explained this to the office staff member and was basically told to wear the mask or leave. My mother put it on and about an hour later after not being called back to see the doctor she asked the staff person when she would be seen at which time this same staff person told her that she could not be seen on this day but to come back another day. My mother became livid and ripped the mask from her face and told the staff member she would not be coming back at all. On her way out the door the staff member came out and told her that though the doctor would not see her a medical trainee could work her in. My mother reluctantly agreed. My mother was put in an examination room that had two doors which were propped open and staff people kept walking by looking in at my mother making her very uncomfortable. Eventually she was seen by the trainee and although he did perform a fairly thorough office exam he told my mother that they had not received any medical records from the admitting hospital my mother had originally been to and that she would need to reschedule yet again until such time as they could receive these records. Again my mother became very angry and told the trainee to just forget about it that she wouldnt be back. He was very nice and subsequently did try to access the admitting hospital online to access her records without success and he apologized but still said she would have to come back a third time. After hearing this story I admit I became extremely agitated. This has got to be a prime example of callous indifferent incompetence. At the very first visit with Dr. Saad they should have had every piece of pertinent medical information to treat my mother or should have had common decency to contact her prior to her driving 40 miles for a waste of time. This happened exactly the same way the second visit only this time my mother was treated like an animal by office staff prior to finally being taken back to an examination room and being told again that basically Dr. Saad could do nothing for her. This doctor took money from my mothers insurance as well as her copay not once but twice to only tell her to come back another time to be ripped off again. This is absolutely absurd. This doctor should not be practicing if this is the way her office is run. A complete shame. I hope that if anyone reading this needs to see a neurologist that you find someone much more compassionate and competent.

Dr. Saad, in my opinion, is the best Neurologist in Spartanburg for MS patients. Yes, you do have to wait a while when you go in for an appointment. But, I would rather wait & have someone I know is competent in their field & keeps up with the latest technology, drug regimens, etc. The wait time has improved over the last 6 months. I love Dr. Saad. She treats you not as a patient, but as a friend. Valarie, the Infusion RN, is awesome and so efficient!

I saw Dr. Saad for several visits in 2017, after a head injury left me with severe aftereffects that were disabling. Her staff is very kind, and on the first visit, Dr. Saad left me with a positive first impression. She listened carefully to my symptoms and gave me a thorough neurological exam, which has not always been my experience with neurologists. Subsequent calls to her office, however, revealed problems that became an inconvenience not only to me, but a source of frustration to my family doctor. Dr. Saads office is very busy, and she is understaffed for the number of patients she sees. I am aware of a shortage of neurologists in the Greenville area, and it is very difficult to find a neurologist who will see Medicare patients for general problems, like migraines, falls, and dizziness. That being said, in my opinion Dr. Saad has taken on too many patients. Her phone went unanswered on at least half a dozen occasions when I called. My family doctor reached a staff member after several attempts to speak to anyone in the office. He left a message that went unreturned, which was eventually an insurmountable problem for him, since he could not discuss the results of my CT scan after he received a copy. The decision to leave her care was made on my third visit, when my husband and I waited almost three hours to get the results of the scan. Without giving me a specific diagnosis or treatment plan, Dr. Saad advised me to quit driving, and she told my husband I should not be left alone at home because of my risk of my falling. I was 53 years old and stunned by this life altering news along with my husband. Dr. Saad picked up her file and rushed from the room without another word, and her assistant came in to hand us our bill and walk us out. We had to insist on speaking to Dr. Saad again, and had to resort to speaking to her in the public area, with other patients and a medical student she was training. My husband told Dr. Saad it was not possible for him to stop working and stay home with me. I was in tears and he was very concerned and serious when he asked if there were resources available to help us find care. Dr. Saad said no, not unless we hired a visiting nurse or a service of some sort. Failing that, she advised him to strap your wife into her wheelchair and leave her in it when he left for work. It was difficult to see the humor in her remark, and I did not see her again. I can see the value of a sense of humor for anyone in the medical profession, but a seriously ill patient should not be the butt of your joke. Potential patients are cautioned.

Wait time to see Dr.Saad is over 3 hours which is not worth the 10 minutes that she is in there to see you. I have had several times where my prescriptions are written incorrectly. The nursing staff is very rude. I do not recommend her to anyone unless you are a Stroke patient.

Unfortunately she is another to add to the list of terrible neurological care in Spartanburg SC. Her wait time is over 3 hours with no regard to others that work and have to take time off to go there. You cannot get a refill to a prescription because you have to come in even if it has been less than 3 months since you were there last. Her staff are the rudest most incompetent group you can ever come across. The doctor herself is ok in the less than 10 minutes you get to see her but as a professional it is a horrible experience especially when I have to take a disabled person there with no patience.
