Shanaya helped me with my glasses when I came in. She helped me pick the best ones for me. That is exactly what I wanted was another opinion. She could have not have been any more help to me than she was. She really seemed to like her job. Which is rare these days. The Dr. and the rest of the staff was very nice also. I would recommend this one to everyone.

I wish I could give more stars because the ladies are so nice. But my initial visit was may 3, and it’s now halfway through July and I only have 1 of the 2 pair I bought. Are they on back order? No. They have been met with human error several times between the prescription itself and getting the correct lenses put into the correct frames. I’ve been in there so many times just hoping that this time will be the one where the glasses are made right and I’ll be able to see. It’s too late to go back to my old pair, my eyes took days to adjust to the new pair. So if this pair breaks I’m a disabled mother with a toddler.It’s like one of those nightmares where you can’t get where you’re supposed to go because everything absurd is in your way.

Great place, I love the staff. It does get really busy and you may have to wait a bit, but it’s understandable with a low staff and the amount of customers. Plus if you come on time or even a couple minutes before the appointment and do the paperwork online before your appointment, it will go so much smoother.

Ive been going here for years.The staff in the past was great.I had many rewarding interactions with the staff.My latest visit wasnt shocking..Since my last visit it seems like an all new group of loyal,courteous and may I add adorable,beautiful gals attended my every needGreat customer service in this time of political stupidity and bias.Way to go Americas Best Girls.

I grew up in southfield and like to keep doing business in southfield if I can. I had been at this location twice before. The Exam Dr and the counter personnel were all very nice a cordial.. The problem is when my exam was done I came out and the attendant just handed me a basket and said pick out your frames. When i was done picking out my frames she was no help at all. She acted like I was inconveniencing her. She didnt take any measurements for my bifocals or tell me if the were correct for my face . I asked her for her opinion on how they looked she just shrugged her shoulder. When I came back in to pick up my glasses. They put me at a table in the corner away from anyone handed me my glasses and walked away . 5 min later they came back and said how do they fit. I said i guess that fit all right. At that point she said ok here a couple of glass cleaning clothes in your bag then turn and walked away. After a few days i noticed the nose pieces disnt fit right and the ear pieces where to tightly

My experience today with Americas Best wasnt the best.I was greeted with a receptionist who seem to be an little impatient with me and was rushing me like I was interrupting her or something.As the receptionist lady sent me to the back to have a seat I was eventually greeted by a nice young lady who does the intake I guess. She was very pleasant and professional. She did my preliminary eye screening very well and quickly. I saw the doctor pretty quickly and she was pleasant and professional but seemed a little overwhelmed and was rushing a little. She completed my eye exam pretty good and sent me out back into the waiting room. As I was sitting their waiting I heard very unprofessional not work related conversation coming from the receptionist lady who was rude to me in the beginning. She was very loud with the conversation as well. So eventually I was greeted by a really nice Caucasian lady who was very helpful and thoro. She handed me a clear tub and explain that the glasses I pick need to go in there for Covid related practices. I was allowed to take my time when I finished she greeted me over and went over the pricing cost and other details very well. I finished up and payed but as I was paying the receptionist lady was still having loud and unrelated work conversations. The other ladies working their was chiming in with conversations as well. I felt like the conversations they was having should have been something they would talk about on lunch break but not while paying customers are sitting there. I had to go back to the waiting room so the doctor could finish up my exam. The doctor finished up my exam and handed me a referral to see specialist once we made it to the front. She handed me the referral and didnt say have a nice or anything. She forgot to give me the little sunglasses that you are supposed to receive when you get your eyes dialated. So as I stepped outside ( keep in mind today was a very beautiful and sunny day ) the sun damn near blinded me! So I guess the doctor saw me struggling to see where my wife was parked at. She walked out the door yelling my name asking me if I wanted them little sunglasses.Long story short I will not be returning to this store or the Americas Best stores period in the future. I will be looking for another eyeglass provider just like my wife did. She had a very unpleasant experience with this same location 5 months ago and decided to go to Pearl Vision.

Crooks. Went there for the 2 pairs of glasses for $69 and a box of contacts. Because my eye exam was for contacts and apparently thats different then a normal exam I have to pay $89 for just a contact exam and then price of the glasses. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, they should be AMERICAS WORSTE.

Unprofessional. Had an eye exam as well as contact lens exam. Needed bifocals, but was informed since I wear contacts majority of the time, I could go to a local drugstore and purchase readers. I did however, get single vision lenses too. Decided to purchase no lined bifocals via the website months later and according to the corporate office, someone at this office did not chart my full prescription because I purchased single lenses. Calling local office, I was met by a very rude and unprofessional person, who had the gall to tell me that my prescription expires in a couple months anyways. Totally out of line. Needed to get glasses immediately and decided that I would just get no lined bifocals so I could use them for more that one purpose. If an accurate exam was not charted because someone elected to go another route or maybe not even obtain glasses at the store, what was the purpose of the examination and the cost of the exam? NEVER AGAIN.... Whoever was working on 05/08/2020 around 4pm and answering phones, needs phone ettiequte and an education regarding service.

I’m a customer for over 35 years with America’s Best. The staff was just ok. I’m a genuine professional when dealing with my customers in my profession. I know it’s a time of Pandemic and people are on edge. I get it. But the staff just seemed not so genuine. I lost my glasses so went there to get new glasses. I have a high index prescription meaning I need my glasses when I first open my eyes in the morning. I picked out glasses and went over costs which was over $700. Ok that’s fine. I had $300 and would pay remaining balance within 5 days. The manager (I guess she was the manager) said I needed 60% before they could even write up the order and send out for processing. I just thought that was soo uncaring treatment for a customer of over 35 years. No consideration?? 🤷‍♀️

Price sticker was on glasses, andof the arms was sliding off, and they gave me the cheap clear case. I address it IMMEDIATELY. RUTHIE took a wet wipe to the arms down (poorly), said the glasses are just made with ONE arm loose and blamed a different employee for the poor packaging of my EXPENSIVE eyewear. She refused the name of who didnt handle my glasses with care so I guess it was her. Time to them old eyes ms RUDE-THIE

Nothing happens quickly at this store. I waited for over a month to receive an order of contact lenses. When I called the store, they dismissed me twice and left me on hold for ten minutes on my third attempt. The only reason I shop here is because its the only business my insurance covers. With the exception of the actual eye doctors, the staff seems impatient and uninterested.

Very Unprofessional!!!! I will NEVER IN MY LIFE consider this company. I wouldnt even call them for directions to another location! Very short with you, rude, feels as if the client is not deserving of polite service. Very rushed work! Outside of their surprise pricing they were deliberate in telling me not to contact them before the issued delivery date theyll call me only to never receive a call! I had to labor with them in locating my order and then realizing they had received my SONS PERSCRIPTION 14 DAYS PRIOR!!!!!! They offer no explanation other then they had my number incorrect was very glib and had the kind of demeanor that showed not only did they have no remorse for the inconvenience but they were humored by our frustration. They took no responsibility offered absolutely no sympathy concern consideration or compensation for this either. I informed them I would be letting the world know of my experience and the representative showed NO CONCERN... THE REVIEWS ARE TRUE. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS nonexistent with this company... it seems the representatives and management all have some tight knit relationship that condones rogue behavior with no regard to customer experience. Please advise

I really love their selection of frames. I drove around to all the glasses stores in the area looking for glasses frames that have an interesting pattern or just SOMETHING stylish about them, and this was the only place that carried any. They also carry solid color and simple looking frames as well, because they have a wide selection. Im impressed with them.

Went here instead of the 8 Mile location, well they didn’t add the bifocal to my glasses and I didn’t notice it until I got home trying to read, so I tried to manage using readers I already had, wasn’t working. So when I called about my glasses it is in the script the doctor wrote but they wanna charge some ridiculous price for their mistake!!!!! (8 Mile is horrible too!)

Requested simple repair of eyeglasses which had one arm fall off of hinge. Sofia Vergara frames with spring hinge. Was told glasses broken, take to jeweller to have soldered. It took only re-insertion ofp spring loaded arm to hinge with a screw.Beware: Do not buy glasses since they cannot repair.

Excellent customer service! The staff here is so friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I am newer to the area and needed a new pair of glasses. Bri, Sheila, Brittany, Shey , Kisra, and Amber were all wonderful. The doctor was very thorough and friendly. Highly recommend this location.

Went to this store after the most awful experience at direct optical on Orchard Lake Rd.Ordered a pair of glasses and it arrived exactly one week time. I picked them up and all is well. Their service is friendly and no fuss professional.I will definitely come back next time.

Honestly, this had to be the worst optical experience I have ever had in my life. Ive had a great day until I went to that store. This is the second time theyve been rude and nasty. The Dr. rushed through the appointment, asking me what was on the chart and almost answering for me. What? Thats not how its supposed to be done! If I cant see it, dont tell me what it is. I need the right prescription! After coming out of the exam and waiting for 20 minutes for someone to help me, the optician PRISCILLA, was absolutely horrendous. She started off with a nasty attitude, which made me question,If youre having a bad day, why not go home?. After this we sat down and explained that I needed the thinnest lenses (according to the doctor). I told her I was fine with the ones that I had (standard plastic). After that, she did the calculations. She told me that my bill was $267. Wait a second?! The glasses arent even worth that much. I told her, thats not what I came in here for and that I wanted what was advertised. If I wanted to pay that much, I would have picked designer glasses. After I told her that, she said, *scoff*, well, what can you get then? I told her, I want the advertised price and standard glasses. Let me tell you, this woman started huffing, puffing, and snatching the frames from my hand. She had the audacity to slam stuff down in the back. She came back with my receipt and told me to sign. Also, she told me that I was going to receive the thickest glasses that they had, no warranty, no protection, and etc. She kept going on and on. PLEASE, do not waste your time or money here. They do not call, when glasses are ready! Cheap quality, poor service, and just bad all together! Helen, the manager was actually quite convenient, when I called and complained. She was apologetic and offered me free cases for my glasses! Im going back to Optimeyes to get my next glasses and contacts. I should have stayed there!!!!!

I have been waiting on my glasses for a month and was told by Americas best that I can come in and get them. Im fully covered and paid when I got the exam. When I got there I was told by one of their agents Kisra Wilson that I can either pay cash or get our of her store and she also stated that she can help me but wont. So the next morning I came back to the store to speak with her manager. While waiting on her manager she threw my purse on the floor saying she doesnt care that there are 3 cameras on her. Then she called the police on me as if I was the one being unprofessional.The fact that Kisra Wilson was comfortable to act that way even with her manager and the police in the store is rediculous.

We went for the two pair + free eye exam for $69.95 and it is not true - do not believe it. Even picking from their limited choices of frames included with the deal, and opting for NO lens upgrades, the cheapest price they could offer for 2 pairs of glasses was $180. False Advertising!!!!! Beware.
