This facility is a great transitional facility, this is not let me say again not a rehab. The upper room is used best for someone wanting to get on their own feet and participating in outpatient classes and wanting to change. Using the upper room as a resource for your recovery, not a magic place to take your addiction away only you have that power. I am going on 4 years clean and have my house now with an amazing job and a little family all because I asked for help and took my recovery seriously. I wanted to change I didnt want to live as a homeless addict anymore.

This place is an absolute joke. I love the fact of people changing their lives. People facing their addiction and bettering their overall quality of life, but I will say this and I believe this whole heartedly had my best friend been in a different facility he would still be alive. Its been reported the staff saw him around 1 pm lathargic and did nothing. HELLO! Its a sober living environment! Someone saw it and it raised absolutely no red flags. Absolutely none!? No one thought I should go check on him here in a bit. This makes me so upset. The you are young man had the rest of his life ahead of him. Had already made the decision to better his life to stay their have structure, supervision and support implemented into his life. Anyone that makes the choice to stay knows they cant trust themselves and do it on their own. He had one moment of weekness Im assuming and relapsed (which is apart of recovery) and lost his life in the facility he went to trying to save it. Neglect. If he was seen unwell and then died in the facility shortly after it is 100‰ neglect and its sickening that it continues to run this way. Im also a recovering addict and I dont know how a building full of people also in recovery couldnt spot the signs and have done something. Anything. He was seen LATHARGIC and left to die! What the hell!

I have been here for over a year. Lisa, Deborah and, Richard are some of the helpful people I have ever met. I pray they get many blessings for the help they give. I thank them for everything.
