A great gym. Beautiful place. Makes me proud to go there and be a member. Staff is super nice. Trainers are excellent, supportive and helpful. Classes are well organized and plentiful. Kyle, head trainer, is a phenomenal trainer and the other trainers are great as well. Try Kim’s serious sculpt, Bev’s body pump or Kyle’s bootcamp classes. 5 stars.

Horrible service for potential members. My husband and I were interested in a membership, so I called ahead to ask about a tour. I was told no appointment was needed as long as I came during normal desk hours. We went in and started signing the waiver before touring. While we were signing in, another person came in to ask for a tour as well. The staff member available to give tours came out of the office and immediately went to the person who came in after us with no acknowledgement and took him for a tour. We were told to sit in the waiting area until she was done. We sat and waited for probably 20 minutes (with an antsy toddler) and no update on how long we’d have to wait. Meanwhile, there were at least 3 staff members standing at the desk who were apparently unequipped to give a tour. Frustrated, we left. Will not be paying our money to a place with this kind of customer service.

Normally wouldn’t leave a review like this, but this place has awful service and false advertising on both mailers to your home with the same info on their website. SaveStaff was aware and rude about it. I’d called earlier in the day they said they were too busy to give info prices then they made sure to let me know it would be “awhile” before they could give me a price.

Hands down the best gym in Ballard. The price is great, particularly considering the amenities it includes (classes, pools, etc). Some parts of the gym are more dated than others, but overall it is clean, well maintained, and the staff are friendly. Also, I was very impressed by their level of communication to members as policies/billing changed during COVID.

To be honest, due to the heat, and the club not having air conditioning in most of the spaces where I would like to work out, I have to drop my review from five stars to two stars. This is one weight room that has good air conditioning, the rest are hot as hell. Depending on when you go, the one room with air is the crowded room. This would be a great club if the figured out the summer heat issue. Maybe purchase more fans at least. With so many options nearby that do have air conditioning, and many of the same facilities and amenities, it’s a hard sell to stay. I wish them the best of luck and hope they can change that issue.

I am so excited and happy that they have opened back up. The gym is so clean, they have done such a great job of making sure we have a safe and clean place to workout. They are cleaning after the gym after ever hour open gym appointment, and the staff is really understanding if you still have a few minutes on your timer. It is odd to only have 9 other people in the cardio room.

The gym is great. Plenty of equipment options. I’ve never felt shorted on my workout although Pre COVID it was always over packed so difficult to get in a get your workout done in a timely manner. Post COVID things are a little different now, obviously, but they seem to be handling it okay with their reservation system. Reason for 3 stars is due to the front staff, they are always a hit and miss before global events and it seems more so now. I get that people can be a**holes sometimes, but you can still be friendly and helpful and not make assumptions about every person you talk to. We always get conflicting information from them on how things work. Generally, front desk attitudes are abrasive and very off putting. For folks that have a hard time getting to the gym as it is and then who have to face the front desk, it can be incredibly demotivating. I’ll probably keep coming here despite this cause I like the physical space, but come on, be friendly and helpful and don’t assume everyone knows what’s going on. These are weird times for everyone, not just you.

Great mix of exercise equipment, basketball court, studio rooms, pool and TRX training areas. Towel service included and sanitation stations. Lindsey, Hana and Eva are very nice sales agents. Did not get that impression from the front desk folks who seem to show more affinity to themselves and regulars. Personal trainers and instructors seem attentive. I think they should sweep or clean some of the workout spaces more often.

Predatory staff that makes assumptions during a pandemic and will charge you without asking. One account manager lacks sympathy, empathy, and remorse, and uses phrases like, Im sorry you feel that way. Youre not here to apologize for my feelings. Youre here to apologize for your actions and words, and being thoughtful about how to express that is paramount to helping me feel acknowledged, not belittled.A person with empathy will response with, I want to help you and understand the problem you are going thru, This is what I can do to help

Love a gym with amenities and service! And the floor plan is massive as well. Several weights and cardio rooms as well as pools, individual spas and saunas in the locker rooms— so nice. Would definitely recommend! My only gripe is that the weights are spread out in 6-8 different small rooms across 3 floors. Makes it a bit hard to use variety of machines during one workout because you would constantly have to leave to go to other rooms. Ex. Plate loaded machines only on 1st Floor, Pin loaded machines only on 3rd. Still a great gym though.

I’ve been a member for years, it’s not the least expensive, but it’s a very nice gym. I was disappointed when they changed their hours and began closing earlier, but it is what it is. Since COVID they have been closed, then they opened to scheduled visits but availability was sparse and I asked that they put my account on hold as the gym was not available for more than 25% occupancy and I didn’t see paying 100% fees for no available times. Then they charged my card anyway but when I called to explain that as a cardiac patient I didn’t see the benefit in the risk of contracting COVID during a pandemic. Unfortunately they have no one on site to deal with billing because the risk to employees is so great, that they work from home... so I should pay 100% for no access to a gym so contaminated that their own staff won’t come into the building?

I love this gym. It met all of my requirements to workout during Covid.First, they require masks ALL the time, even when working out. This to me is a no brainer and yet other gyms only require a mask when walking around. Second, they split their people into reservation slots, spreading out the crowds a bit. Plus literally every room has a ton of sanitizer bottles. Its much more expensive than the LA Fitness, I pay double at $88/month after tax. But for now during a pandemic when I cant find a safe gym to workout at, these extra precautions they put in place make it worth it and I’ll continue to go unless they lower their standards.

I found Olympic Athletic Club to be very unprofessional and will not be going there again. I booked a massage through a referral a friend of mine sent me and received a confirmation email in my own inbox. I made it to the spa after a 1hr+ commute today to find out that I’m not on their schedule. Apparently 2 days ago they reached out to my friend to confirm my appointment as if it was his, and then cancelled it after he said he didn’t book such an appointment. I was told I could reschedule at a discount, which I found very frustrating due to the double standard. I’d have to pay the full price if our roles were switched here - if I cancelled last minute. I spent ~2hrs in rush hour traffic because of their mistake and wanted to share my experience with potential customers.

I have no complaints. If youre a member theres free parking and a dry sauna, hot tub, eucalyptus steam room, racquet ball courts, pool and showers with basic amenities included (even hair dryers and a machine that dries your swimsuit in 20 seconds). If youre high maintenance and expect staff to wait on you youll be disappointed. Doesnt bother me, the desk staff are always in a good mood despite what some might say.Ive had one incident with a member (not staff) asking me to leave a machine mid-set so she could get on. Entitled attitude comes with the area I suppose, told her no. Just be weary if youre shy and stand (or lift) your ground. Most members are very kind and respectful. This was a singular incident. Its a bit warm but not over bearing. The windows in the building are easy to open.Gorgeous, historic building. Mostly 24 hr. access.

Ive been a member for several months now and I love it. As I read through the negative reviews, most of the criticisms dont really bear out. Im sure, like any place, there have been mishaps and confusions, but this is a very solid gym. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because one of the group exercise rooms is dimly lit and doesnt have good mirror coverage. This is because they are preserving some gorgeous wall coves. Also, I love Zumba and the classes here could definitely be better. There are several different training areas with different styles of equipment. Theres even a bare bones, no frills free weights room on the ground floor, which is my personal favorite. The womens locker room has its own hot tub and sauna and a small work out room. Its downright opulent! Pro-tip, Hatties Hat, across the street, serves a couple of really good, healthy after-workout meals :)

There is NO order, NO energy, NO music, NO corrections or encouragement. Just several cliques loudly talking, laughing, socializing and being disruptive during what is supposed to be a group EXERCISE class. The front desk demanded that I fill out a 2 sided sheet with all of my very personal details as well as provide them a copy of my drivers license. Lord only knows what they plan on doing with this information - a credit check? Sell it to other companies? Use it to harrass me for years on end in the form of tons of junk mail? No thanks! When I told management that I wouldnt provide it, and they just lost a customer, their response was a simple OK, no additional explanation of why its needed, no assurance it would be kept safe and my privacy respected, nothing. Even car dealers are better! I mean a car dealer will at least show you around before requiring license and insurance for a test drive! My opinion: If you are concerned about your credit and your privacy, steer clear of here!
