The studio is always very welcoming. They have a lot of class times so I can almost always make one work even with my varied schedule. I have yet to meet an instructor I didn’t love! Even with all the sweaty bodies the studio is always clean without lasting odors. I wish the locker room was bigger but that’s so minor, and I can always find a locker- just squeezing past people when it’s crowded. But hey, no big deal for that 3 minutes. The classes themselves are just awesome, I always feel like I’ve gotten a good workout, and always feel welcome to rest anytime when I’m having a tired day. I love the core component in each class, it is a unique feature of these yoga studios that keeps me coming back. I can’t say enough about how much I love CorePower!!!

Got to this studio at 2:01 on Christmas...their last class had already started, still I prayed I’d see someone who’d let me in, “in the spirit of Christmas” or perhaps because I’ve been a member for over THREE YEARS, thousands of dollars later on Christmas 2019 I did see TWO people appear behind the glass doors but I could NOT enter CPY’s last class on Christmas—they had plenty of room—since ONE female, a mean**girl with glasses and curly reddish hair that was behind the counter said, NO to the other nice* lady that WAS going to let me in...

I attended 30 classes there in 2 months, most of which were Yoga Sculpt in the morning. I feel fantastic after the workout that trains my core muscles along with some cardio. Louisa Hes Sculpt was even more challenging and I attended her sessions a lot more. They have first week free, definitely worth trying out.

Awful instructors who dont seem to have basic yoga training and so teach terrible classes. I dont know what they learn in their 8 weeks of teacher training. The sculpt classes arent anything special either.

I found it overpriced, and overheated.Almost every class available is HOT yoga. Respect to anyone who wants to dehydrate themselves, but I do not believe that doing yoga in 103 degree heat is good for you at all. I dont understand why it is so hard to find a studio that practices yoga in a 70-80 degree room in Seattle. This fad is out of control to the point of inhibiting my practice.

Very new place. I like the studio. Great atmosphere with tea at the resting area. Parking is tricky, do get the passcode, go to the garage behind the studio. The garage is for resident and retail. Remember your parking lot number, go to the parking machine, key in your lot number and select yoga student. After that, enter the code from CorePower so that you dont have to pay parking, put parking ticket on dashboard, take the elevator up! Do give yourself 10 mins to do this.

I believe finding a yoga place is a personal experience almost like finding a church to attend. I have a list of pros and cons for this studio, take them for what you will. I do not plan going back, but maybe this place will be your cup of tea.Pros:- 2 Studios- Good variety of classes and times during the week.- Clean: Locker rooms are always clean and they mop the studios in between classes.- Free locks for lockers- Free tea- Instructors were nice- I learned some new posesCons- Repetition of classes: I went to three Hot Power Yoga classes in the same week, taught by three different teachers and the classes we EXACTLY the same. They went through the same exact sequence and used the same language, almost like a script.- Windows to the outside in each studio. There was a lot of noise and light coming into the studio from pedestrians and buses.- One studio has a window to the front desk. For people in the back of the room this is really distracting.- Teachers dont demo the positions, they just talk.- Sometimes it is very crowded.

Most core power yoga instructors I have interacted with have a holier than thou attitude when in reality they are arrogant terrible instructors who are ignorant about yoga and dont really care about the customer- read below for my experience in Lauren Golshans class that led to a ligament injury. Wanted to walk out of her class after 10 mts.August-December 2018 : took class with Johnna White, Lee Mezistrano Cheyenne Allen and Lauren Golshan ( only because she was sub for another instructor I had already paid for the class and I didnt know about the substitution in advance ) .April 2019 : did a couple of drop in classes with Jennifer Koenig and Juliana Sloper.1. Jennifer was trying to portray an image of someone or something she is not and it was obvious that like other instructors ( Lee Mezistrano and Johnna White) she was still confused about what a yoga class is even after a few years of completing teacher training. She should be honest and stick to being a fitness instructor if she is certified in any discipline.I believe she gets away with her classes with a decent rating because majority of the clientale are young impressionable students who just want to get a good workout and leave with the satisfaction that they did something good by going to a yoga class.2. To Core Power Yoga management : please provide your female instructors with guidelines of proper yoga attire. They shouldnt be wearing inappropriate revealing clothing that makes clients uncomfortable. I have taken class with Johnna W Jennifer K Cheyenne A. and Lauren Golshan and all of them seem to have a very strange view of professional yoga attire.Juliana : Sunday 12 pm class. She is very friendly with the customers and I believe this is just a way to mask her shortcomings and lack of solid knowledge as a yoga teacher. This is similar behavior as Lee Mezistrano but the difference is that she is able to listen to feedback and criticism whereas Lee M. is unable to deal with any criticism. Like Cheyenne Allen, Juliana gets passive aggressive sometimes when she is insecure. The positive things about her class : she was appropriately dressed for a yoga class unlike Johnna and Lauren Golshan. She respected my privacy when I asked not to be assisted unlike Lauren Golshan who invaded my practice caused a ligament injury that still hasnt healed properly. I hope Core Power yoga retrains Lauren Golshan before letting her teach unsupervised and cause more serious injuries to clients. To anyone who is considering taking the Power Teacher Training program at Udistrict studio here is a piece of friendly advice - please think very carefully before you sign up the instructors who are coaches ( like Lee Mezistrano at U district and Trent Nivala at Capitol Hill ) make misleading statements just to get you to put your money down for the deposit. It seems they do not really care about ethical standards and have a wierd concept of good business practices.Lauren Golshan : did her teacher training at U district studio in 2018 and I took her class at both Queen Anne and Udistrict. Both times she was sub for another teacher and was teaching unsupervised.Worst instructor I have ever met.She appeared to lack understanding of basic concepts of yoga, did an unwanted adjustment (inspite of me asking not to have assists or adjustments ) during one of the postures causing pain and a ligament injury. She was arrogant, obviously doesnt listen to directions, did not apologize for the mistake or show any empathy and acted as if nothing happened.

Catherine Buech, the assistant manager at U District CPY, doesnt show the slightest evidence of any managerial ability. She doesnt demonstrate any critical thinking, seriously lacking common sense, clueless with priorities and problem solving, in addition to attitude and listening problems. When approached with issues, she first ignored the information offered, then refused to observe the problem with an attitude. When an issue involves classroom setting arose, Catherine Buech believed the adjustment should be burdened on the customers. She thought calling students at 10pm weekday is appropriate. If the participating students happened to be teaching there, the studio will be taken over like a private function.Even as a yoga instructor, Catherine Buech doesnt have any right traits for customer service work. She appeared to be agitating, lacking the tranquility and stillness yoga teachers normally possess. She often is the rowdiest and loudest person chatting at the front desk whenever possible while we are in the studio meditating and preparing for session. Catherine Buech is turning U District CP into a middle school clique. The facility, however, is top-notch in the area.
