I was referring to Dr. Baze because my primary care doctor require that I see a dermatologist prior to refilling my medication. Ive seen a different dermatologist previously but unfortunately they are now out of network so I ended up having to go to Dr. Baze.First off, I want to talk about bedside manner. Dr. Baze is not rude but the conversation we had was so awkward. He has terrible social cues and avoided eye contact for the entire appointment. I felt like I was talking to a robot. Im not doubting his intelligence because I believe he knows what he is doing, but as a patient trying to earn the trust of a new dermatologist, I was instantly turned off.Now onto the examination...In the past, Ive been able to manage my condition well with medication. It was my understanding that this appointment would be for the same. Upon Dr. Baze doing a brief inspection, he jumped to conclusion and said I needed to start a series of injections. I was extremely surprised when he said this as I stated my condition was manageable with the previously prescribed medication. While Im not medical doctor, I do know that my condition is not life threatening so I refused to do the series of injections. By the end of the session, he agreed that I would be able to manage with my previous medication. So then off I went. I did not request a refill or anything but he prescribed me a medication that he never explained and that was $500 with insurance. This is absurd as my previous medication was $30.Long story short, after $800 in medical bills. Im in the same place as before my appointment. Will I be back to see Dr. Baze? Absolutely not. I made the dire mistake of not going to my previous dermatologist even though she is out of network. Lesson learned, stick with the good doctors you trust and know even if they are more expensive.

I had the worst experience at Swedish with Dr Baze. It took one week for them to send me medication. The made a mistake at first by sending the med to wrong pharmacy and then ignored me to correct their mistake and at the end my pharmacy corrected their mistake. If you are looking for more caring doctors and staff don’t try this place.

My daughter loves Dr. Baze. She’s had good success with him but recently she had an incident that was extremely frustrating. She has a bad case of eczema on her fingers, but her fingers are detrimental to her work so the cream Dr. Baze prescribes is extremely important to her. Her prescription had run out so she called to have it refilled. She checked with her pharmacy several times and finally three days later she called Dr. Baze’s office again. The office staff was extremely rude and blunt and told her the doctor was busy and hadn’t gotten to it yet. By this time her fingers were on fire!!! By the end of that day she still didn’t have a prescription! She was in tears. Unfortunately a wonderful doctor doesn’t have the staff to support his business.

Really just an all around great guy! He was very caring, attentive and did not rush me at our appointment. He addressed all of my concerns and removed two moles super fast! He was not judgmental at all and extremely professional. I will continue coming to Dr. Baze until he retires!

I’ve been to a number of dermatologists. Most treat their patients as if it is a McDonald’s drive thru. Not Dr Baze. My appointment was laste in the day and he took the time and care to listen and evaluate a number of environmental and allergic related symptoms that created a terrible skin rash to explore the root cause and to recommend appropriate treatment. He is diligent and exploratory in his search for the best possible answer and is patient along the whole process. I am so glad I found him after dealing with the drive-thru seems in this city and wholeheartedly recommend him!
