Dr. Irwin was a life changer for me. I have always battled with bad skin for as long as I could remember. I have tried spa facials, every face wash on the market, and even tried accutane which I know can be dangerous for some people. A friend of mine who lives in the Seattle area recommended Dr. Irwins laser treatment to re-surface the skin I was having trouble with. It was unbelievable! I can now say with 100% confidence that she changed my skin and my life for the better forever! Thank you a million times Dr. Irwin you are a true master of your craft!

I called to request an appointment for cosmetic and skin disease issue (history of skin cancer and scalp psoriasis) and learned I needed 2 office visits. I was fine with that so I asked for an appointment with Dr Iwing, when the receptionist said Dr was only available around November (it was June) and that the normal procedure was to see a RN first and only schedule an appointment with Dr Irwing in case of a cosmetic procedure. I was uncomfortable but scheduled an appointment with the RN as well as asked if it was possible to have a referral to the UW skin clinic for the skin cancer exam and scalp psoriasis treatment. The receptionist ( in an extremely rude way) said no, and if I wanted to see a dermatologist for that purpose I could schedule an appointment with Dr Kristen, who was available on the following week. I agreed and booked 2 appointments. The cosmetic appointment with the RN was good. She was helpful, patient and answered all my questions (I had a list). However my appointment with Dr Kristen was a nightmare! My appointment was scheduled for 16:10, and she saw me at 16:35 past (my 8 months baby was sick on that day). Dr Kristen did the annual skin cancer exam, suggested a biopsy for one mole, and then took a look at my scalp. I explained that two prior dermatologists suggested the Ketoconazole 2% shampoo, which was very effective, until I got pregnant last year and needed to stop using it as it is not recommended during pregnancy. Dr Kristen said that Ketoconazole shampoo was not recommended to scalp psoriasis and suggested a new medication instead, giving me two samples of Taclonex (an expensive new medication that cost U$250+), suggesting it was the best option for my scalp. I agreed with her care plan but explained I was going to Hawaii in 4 days and was worried to try a new medication as I needed something very effective as my scalp was pretty bad. Dr Kristen insisted in the use of Taclonex and said I could call if it did not work or in case of a side effect. I used the medication for 2 days (Tuesday and Wednesday) and it just burned my scalp, creating a big wound. I called the clinic on Wednesday afternoon as suggested and the receptionist said that Dr Kristen was not available during that week, and that I could check the medication instruction on its box (?). I insisted, explained that the situation was serious and urgent, and than she agreed to transfer my call to someone on call. I left a voice message with all my details, name, phone number and etc. No one returned my voice message so I called again on Thursday, next day afternoon, when the receptionist suggested me to go to an urgent care. I just tired of it and asked to cancel the biopsy appointment explaining I was not comfortable w/ the clinic atitude and reliability. After that I finally received a phone call from RN Regina, also suggesting me to go to an urgent care, and that she was going to talk w/ the doctor on call to check what could be done (it was 5pm - the clinic was closing). On Fri RN Regina called me again, very nice, but non effective. On Sat morning (trip day) I finally received a call from Dr Irwin, after almost 4 days with a wound on my scalp. She asked me to buy an over the counter cortisone topic medication in Hawaii. I explained that I suffer with psoriasis for 20+ years and tried all types of over the counter medication and none of it worked in the past. She ignored my statement, said it was going to work, that the sea water was gonna help, and asked to send her an email saying how was my scalp in Hawaii. I couldnt find the topic medication she suggested in Hawaii (i was on an isolated resort in Big Island and was very clear about it the whole time), and was done with the clinic. More than a week later I received another call from RN Regina asking how was my scalp. I also learned they did not cancel my biopsy as I had requested. I asked to cancel it again. The whole clinic was just ignoring the problem, not providing any help or solution. Very disrespectful! Ill never, ever again going to this clinic!

Dr. Irwin is amazing, she knows how to use injectables and lasers in a way few derms do. Ive been to a few derms looking for the right one to give me a youthful natural look and dr. Irwin is it! Look at her! Shes about 60 and barely looks 40!!!She is sweet and knows exactly what to do for acne scars, pigmentation and wrinkles.I highly recommend her! But it will take some time to get an appointment, shes super booked.
