Dr. Ward helped me tremendously in the couple visits I had, recommended exercises so it would not happen again, and was overall very helpful and intelligent in addressing my problem.

Nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Word and Derek! I have some chronic back trouble combined with post-partum specific postural issues and have been turned off by some of the chiropractic practices that are like factories and can use torture devices, etc. I came to Dr. Word looking for a gentle approach to body work, he heard all of my concerns and Ive been so pleased with his technique and my progress. I get immediate and lasting relief and the rehab work and postural tips hes given me have made a big difference in just a couple of months. Well, Im a chiro convert. Ive always had a pretty low opinion on chiropractic medicine (sorry Dr. Word!!), but after 6 weeks with a combined lower back/SI joint flare up, I was ready to try anything. Dr. Word is incredibly good at what he does! Starting in week 20 of my pregnancy I started experiencing significant SI pain and other back pain. I tried PT for several weeks (which helped a little) and massage (which made it worse) and finally booked an appointment with Dr Word who is certified in the Webster technique thats typically used on pregnant women. In just one visit he helped relieve much of my pain. I could finally walk for more than a half mile! Since then hes worked on various pregnancy and postpartum issues for me as theyve come up.I would HIGHLY recommend Central Wellness Chiropractic to anyone looking for a chiropractor or for a second opinion on how to deal with an injury or chronic pain. Dr. Word is a phenomenal practitioner. Before meeting Dr. Word I was a bit skeptical of chiropractic medicine but I cannot say enough about how much his treatments helped me. I started seeing him when I was pregnant, suffering from intense hip pain. After the first visit there was a marked difference, immediately after the treatment my pain was more manageable and I could walk with a normal cadence. Thankfully I received a referral from a trusted friend or I would not have made my first appointment. Dr. Word is also a consummate professional. I was very impressed by his thorough examination prior to administering any treatment. I have visited many professionals for pain, including massage therapists and physical therapists, and I have never experienced such a deep examination of both my pain and my state of being. I would recommend Central Wellness Chiropractic without reservation...in fact I referred my husband and now he is also a patient!

Jeff is a magician! I drive all the way from Bothell to see him because I have never met a chiropractor who cares about his clients more than him. Every time I walk out of central wellness I feel like a new man. After multiple snowboarding accidents that have taken me off the mountain, Jeff has not only relieved my pain, but also gave me things to work on at home to maintain that proper alignment. I have been to multiple other chiropractors before and they just get in as many people as they can in a short period of time. I went to see Dr. Word for some chronic tension / low-level pain in my hip. I have significant scoliosis which is the main reason why my left hip tends to store tightness and tension. Dr. Word adjusted me and gave me some stretches and exercises for my posterior chain that I can do in order to stay pain-free. It was really cool to see my strength and flexibility improve over the course of a session! His adjustments not only provided relief, but I was able to see immediate improvements in both strength and ROM. Dr. Word is extremely knowledgeable about the human anatomy as well as natural movement patterns.The clinic is beautiful and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. Dr. Word and his staff treat you as a whole person, not just a symptom or specific body part. I’ll definitely be going back soon!

My experience with Dr. Words office has been world-class: they are knowledgeable, professional, and best quality / value for money overall.I moved to Seattle three months ago and was looking for a chiropractor due to pain in my neck and shoulder areas. I used to travel for work, so I have a good deal of experience with chiropractors in other parts of the US as well as in Europe.After some Google-ing I shortlisted three chiropractors in Seattle for consultations. The first one I visited ended up being a complete turn-off as she suggested that I commit to a 6-month program (approx. $1800 cost) before she even properly diagnosed me. The second one was OK. But, Dr. Word ended up being an easy choice as he seemed really eager to understand my condition and was able to articulate his assessment very well. He also laid out a treatment approach that was not pushy in any way; he seemed confident that his treatments would deliver, so he basically left it up to me to decide whether to continue after each treatment.And deliver he did. I felt increasingly better (less pain) as well as generally more relaxed and energetic after each visit. Dr. Word would combine different techniques to achieve the results depending of the type/location of pain, which impressed on me how experienced and knowledgeable he really was. He was also able to manage my expectations well. I was made aware that some of the pain would come back a few days after treatment, but that this would occur less and less with each visit and if I followed through with simple exercises. This is exactly how it all evolved. The result: 4 weeks into treatment, my pain is pretty much gone and for a fraction of what it could have cost me elsewhere. I now go back periodically simply to feel better and to make sure nothing else goes out of order. I never understood how chiropractic care really worked, but it somehow works for me.I think it is important everyone do their research before picking a clinic. I am happy I did and that I chose Dr. Word. I am also grateful to Derek for being so responsive in trying to accommodate my unpredictable schedule along the way.

I went to Dr. Word for an ITB issue and was in great pain. I had an upcoming race that I had been training months for and I was disappointed in the state of my knee. Dr. Word was great in helping me understand what the problem was and how he was going to try and fix it with his various methods. I was SHOCKED at how great my knee felt after ONE visit with him. I can not say enough about Dr. word and my experience at central wellness. I did a general search for work related injury chiropractic specialists after my chiropractor was not helping or explaining my pain and injury thoroughly. Dr word got back to me very quickly and it was so easy to make an appointment with him. After being in constant pain for a year and dealing with some numbness in my arm I was a little skeptical and nervous going in for my first fists. Both Dr. Word and Derek were so great at making me feel comfortable and really understanding what was going on with my shoulder and neck. After a few visits my pain was drastically better and the more I see them the better it gets. Their approach is more proactive than Ive experienced in the past (heres some pain meds), theyve shown me how to work out my back properly and stretches to minimize my pain and prevent it from happening in the future.
