My husband spent an hour trying to get through the appt routine. He called advice line was told to call podiatry directly to get an appt in the next day or 2 for an open foot wound that is weeping stuff. Sent to an appt line was told they do not schedule podiatry appts and was sent to another line where he held for another 10 mins and was dropped. Tried again to schedule with podiatry they had a phone message to leave a message but was disconnected again. I guess will just have to wait for another month for his next appt. or show up in an emergency room at a much higher cost with infection or blood poisoning. He’s used to excellent service yet This experience has shown him that service is no more. Very sad to hear.

This was my very first time seeking VA health service, and I was so impressed with everyones professionalism. At first, the receptionist told me that I canceled my own appointment; which was rather weird; but we quickly resolved the issue, and I was seen in the optometry department. The doctors were thorough in their examinations, and optical sales rep Tooba was very informational and very helpful. I cant believe I was paying so much for eye care elsewhere. Thank you all

Jennifer and Rhonda at HUD VASH had an admin/paperwork error that could have rendered me homeless straightened out in 24 hours. You have to do your part, and if you do, they will work for you. Thank you

Approx, 2 months ago I had an appointment at the VA San Jose Clinic I arrived with my post card. The attendant in the parking lot said, my appoint was canceled. I received no notification. On another occasion I had a appointment for a shot. Time 11:00 am, the nurse saw me at 11:50 am. Once again, I had to give blood, one veteran in front of me. I registered then told to wait, a nurse will call your name. The vet before me, gave blood then left. 15 Minutes later...nothing. I approached the window where I checked in, they said so sorry, we Forgot about you. Get Job Veterans Clinic SAN JOSE CALIFORNIA. March 2020 corvid-19 concern, all my appointments were pushed back 3 to 4 months. Now today, 20 Oct. 2020. I contacted VA SJ. wanted to talk to the Optometry dept, I broke my glasses. I also need an eye examination. The messaged said they would contact me within 1 or 2 days. No sense of urgency!!!

Horrible. Just to talk to someone is a task. Then, when I finally do get someone to talk to...I asked her my question which was not a medical one, and her reply wasIm just an operator. Very dismissive. The one star is because someone actually answered the phone.

My experience at the VA San Jose has been great. The Staff is very helpful in making the transition a smooth one for me. They are very friendly to talk to and very professional. I have a tough time with change but the VA San Jose Clinic makes you feel that you are in the right place to receive all you medical needs. Great job VA team.Veteran / Roger Kincaid

This is a lovely building and the staff are all quite pleasant. Its a bit far from the main city and the public transit routes to get here are pretty rough. It would be a fifteen minute drive if you have a car. If you dont, youre likely to need three or more buses and about two hours to get here. Once here, youll probably be in a dead zone for mobile data, and the facility does not offer wifi. In the end, this is a great VA hospital if you can use it.

Absolutely great clinic, I did a follow up after being in the ER. Dr. Dave and his assistant were just amazing, they really cared about what was wrong with me and did multiple examinations. Not even the ER at Stanford Health Care hospital took that good care of me. Im glad my local VA clinic is really good, this is my second time here for a different reason.

Honestly it was kind of weird because when I first called it was transferred the phone just went ahead and hung up Im glad I actually came in though. I have to admit the folks youre actually really cool and you know from a person that doesnt really like to meet new people or anything its actually not that bad. Of course the lady mental health well you know I would say that that person is probably not going to be your best bet if youre mentally not there. ? But she seems to be really unhappy but Im not really sure why that or I creep people out and on the two I dont know.

Grand opening of the new San Jose VA Clinic happened this morning between 10 and 12. Got a chance to find out where everything is located within the building and what additional services are going to be in the building. As a veteran I encourage all veterans to get their Healthcare through the VA if at all possible and any new veterans getting out of service right now youre eligible as long as you got 2 years in.

The new VA clinic in San Jose is very nice and the employees were very friendly and helpful. There were no lines to check in because they have several kiosks for a self check in, there was plenty of parking available too.

Fastest and easiest lab draw Ive had in 20 years. Was in and out in 15 minutes.

Great care service. They are have been a great safety net for my health needs.

The VA advisement member I spoke to was very helpful and knowledgeable. She helped talk me through a difficult situation.

Nobody likes going to the doctor, but at least here the people care about you. If you show up on time the wait is not horrible and if you really need to be seen they make the time to do it. Everyone is very very friendly. You might be sick and uncomfortable but you are going to feel better, even if its just a little, by the time you leave.
