As far as the staff on the day of my procedure, they were great. They kept me informed of any delays, very friendly. However, it was brought to my attention that I wasnt supposed to be charged such a high copay. I was told that I would get a refund. I was told the check was mailed out. After a month & no check arrived, I tried to alert Sylvia. She started not answering my calls & never returning my messages. Im still waiting a month later. This has been so very frustrating.

Nice and well kept place like most Scripps facilities are. Parking is expensive although after validation it was down to $6/day. Organization of patient queued up for surgery could be managed better to allow sequential order. Would also help if they took Covid test results from other Scripps facilities across in San Diego counties as patients come from all over San Diego and we heard one patient family had to drive a very long distance prior to the surgery just to get the Covid test done from Scripps in San Diego.

Due to covid-19 they dont allow anyone in the waiting room, they dont tell you that over the phone, they dont have any place for you to wait or even use the bathroom. The parking fees are beyond robbery they dont even give disabled placard discounts and wanted $12 for 15 minutes. Do not use this place run far away. I will update after the surgery is done.

Worst discharge instructions ever . Had kidney stone laser surgery preformed by Dr from Genesis Urology across the street. Never saw the Dr after recovery because like Elvis had had left the building before I woke up. He did tell my wife he fished around up there with a wire and had trouble getting in discharge instructions advised me to take a shower , not do any heavy lifting for a week and call Dr for a follow up appointment . At no time did any one caution .:hey if you have a hard time urinating, or say you are passing blood clots the size of a nickel and your stomach gets distended so you look like a Biafra baby you may wish to get your self over the the ER (Grossmont) because you soon will be doubled over in indescribable pain because your urethra is completely blocked with blood clots and your bladder has exceeded all capacity levels ( in my case 980 ML ) and the results could be permanent kidney damage That part was not covered . by the way if you think you can just pick up the phone and contact Genesis Urology ,think again . I pretty much guarantee it will take you 5 times on hold and 20 minutes of persistence before anyone picks up the phone. The Genesis Dr did not write my pain prescription out in a fashion acceptable by Walmart pharmacy so I had to drive back to Genesis to get a re written prescription . When I arrived there were 5 gals in the Genesis urologists office I told one of them I called 5 times and you guys never answered she confided our phone rings all the time .I told her even McDonalds answers the phone. If this experience sounds like something youd be interested in then Scrips Surgery Pavilion is the place for you. To their credit the Scrips nurse was able to get in contact with Genesis Dr s office using the doctor phone option otherwise I would probably have never gotten a pain prescription that anyone would actually fill . Pretty 3rd world if you ask me .
