Definitely the best food I got during my weekend stay in San Diego. Good price and definitely worth the wait. My only feedback would be to add coffee and tea. Also for anyone ordering a small is totally enough for a human being.

My daughter loved her açaí bowl. The fruit was incredibly fresh and delicious and the portion was huge as well! A great and healthy breakfast!

This is my second time here but love it. The potion are a lot and everything is fresh. Sometimes I even shock that my potion are worth more than what I pay. No fake food here.

I love açaí bowls, but there arent many places im Seattle or Vegas that have amazing açaí bowl places. Now that we are in San Diego, there are way more options to choose from!We came at around noon, and the line was pretty long. I immediately thought that this place must be legit then, and I sure was right. It was definitely worth the the 10 minute wait in line, plus 15 minutes to get our food. Hands down the best açaí bowl I have ever had!You could really taste the freshness of every single component inside, from the juiciness of the sweet strawberries and raspberries. To the delicious, crunchy granola and almonds. Then to the refreshing, smooth, and tasty açaí sorbet! I can really go on about just the açaí because it was so good. It wasnt too sweet, and it was perfect for the warm and sunny day ahead. Plus, they really packed it with a lot of fruit too, which I absolutely loved. This was definetly the best place to kick off our first day in San Diego! I really hope we I will be able to come back before we leave San Diego!

This is one of the best places in San Diego to get an acai bowl. This place is pretty small and it can get busy at times but dont let that discourage you. You can customize what toppings you want to include and I highly recommend adding peanut butter, its a game changer! I love that this gem is in Point Loma!

I would totally recommend this Acai place in San Diego. I love their acai large bowl, definitely a good deal. The large is $11 and they pack it with a lot of fruits and toppings. Their acai is great and the line can get pretty long but it goes by pretty fast. They have a small parking lot but people go in and out every few minutes.

Best tasting acai bowl that I have ever had. The coconut base was so amazing. Only shortcoming is that they close at 3pm. Would love to have their store open till atleast 10 pm. Good run for the money if large bowl is chosen and pretty much good enough for 2 people.

There is a reason this place tops the best smoothie bowls in San Diego. Great prices for the amount of fruit you get (its unlimited toppings!) and only the freshest, sweetest fruits. We added cacoa nibs and organic almond butter and it took our bowls to the next level of deliciousness! Unlike some places, the base layer here was sweet but not overly sweet or artifical tasting. It tasted brand new fresh blended in the back and a refreshing sweetness. Grab a bowl and head to OB beach to enjoy!! Staff was SO helpful and friendly too!!

This place has 5 stars for a reason! The workers are so nice and you get your order really fast. The fruit is fresh and soooo yummy! The acai large bowls are soo worth it ($13)! I dont go anywhere else because the bowls are so small at other shops and almost the same price at the ones here. Come here and you get more for what you pay!

WOW! I’ve lived in SD for 5 years and this is my favorite acai place I’ve found. It is so fresh and they top it with endless ingredients. There is a large variety of fruit, but butters and dry ingredients including granola, almonds, chia seeds, flax seeds and coconut. They also offer a coconut sorbet made strictly from coconut meat and water which is so delicious. I like to do half coconut sorbet and half Acai with all the toppings plus peanut butter. I have to limit myself to only coming twice a month!!

I cannot tell people this enough - almost unquestionably THE best acai bowls in San Diego. Only complaint about this one vs the North Park location is parking, if you dont order ahead theres not a lot of space around to wait depending on how busy they are vs when you go and so on. Nevertheless, TRY THEM OUT.

The best acai bowl in San Diego I have ever had!!It was recommended by a friend and even though we drove to Point loma from North county San Diego. It was most definitely worth it!They were very friendly and the menu is straight forward with Vegan options.Parking can be tricky and the line can be a little long but it goes by fast.The price is reasonable and they make everything fresh with wait line for your order between 5-10min.There is benches where you can sit and chat while you wait.I will definitely come back because of their fresh product and very friendly host!

Is there a direct correlation between how much a smoothie costs and how long it takes to prepare? $8 or more plus tip and it takes 20 minutes to prepare. One has to be wealthy and have no particular place to be. Also, I have brainfreeze as I type this.

I had the large Acai bowl here and it was seriously good. The sorbet matches perfectly with the perfectly cut fruit, granola and coconut. The large turned out to be more than I needed but I couldnt put it down.

It really depends on what you’re looking for in an açaí bowl. If you want a fruity treat, it’s pretty good for that. If you want a healthy meal, you should probably look elsewhere. The açaí and pitaya tasted heavily sweetened. In fact, the açaí has a distinct grape juice flavor to it. So, I was very disappointed in the health department.Ingredients? The fruit was fresh so everything had it’s own flavors. I’ve had much better ingredient combinations elsewhere but it worked.Price? People talk about how much there is, and that’s true about the fruit. I had slices of strawberry, mango, pineapple, kiwi, grapes, blueberries, and bananas. However, ended up paying $11 for a small. That’s a couple dollars more than I’m used to paying for these. The fruit looks like it’s more because it’s all stood up on its ends. Admittedly, their fruit combo doesn’t go that well together. It’s just a bit too much all over the place.Conclusion: given the sweetness of their açaí mix and the price, I probably won’t be back.

I rarely leave reviews. This place is incredible. Visited from the east coast. The açaí bowls are the best, the fruits are fresh, portions are generous with the perfect balance of ingredients and the price is good. The people who work behind the counter are incredible too. It puts every other “fruit bowl” to shame. Keep up the good work. If more of these places existed people would be a lot healthier.

Everywhere I travel I try to find the best açaí bowl. The açaí bowl at North Shack was one my favorites of all time- thick consistency, tons of delicious toppings, great size and super affordable. Wish I lived in San Diego so I could have one all the time. Definitely worth checking out and the staff was super friendly!

Pamela is awesome and super friendly! The Northside Shack has wonderful recipes to try but allows you the freedom to customize however you want. I wish there were more places like this that truly have the customers well being at heart. Supporting local farmers and businesses is important and Pamela does so whenever possible with fresh local strawberries and whatever else she can get her hands on. Definitely a favorite of mine.

The best açaí Ive had in the United States by FAR. fresh tasting ingredients, delicious granola, a treat all around.The only suggestion I have is around the layering of the bowl. Ours was in a large cup and we werent able to try all the ingredients together. I would recommend more of an actual bowl. Other than that, a divine experience!
