Great experience! The staff is always so friendly and Dr. Jim Tasto did an amazing job of setting expectations and explaining what was going on with my cracked tooth. I was relieved that I only needed a filling and not a crown or root canal. The best part was that there was ZERO pain throughout the entire procedure.

Top shelf operation! Outstanding, state of the art technology. The Docs are excellent - personable and keenly interested in your dental health. The office staff is efficient, competent, and they answer the phone! I want to specifically call out Vivian, who has been my dental tech for nearly 10 years. Shes the best - thorough, detailed, and proficient. Add to that a sparkling personality to makes you feel at ease. No one likes a dental drill in their mouth, but when its time, Vivian is my go-to. This clinic is remarkable. I drive 45 minutes and past 20 other clinics to come here. Parking is always available, and you can swing by Crust-1 afterwards for a slice. Win-win! You wont be disappointed.

I’ve been a patient at Torrey Hills Dental since 2005, and I have had a great experience every time. They are friendly, efficient and professional. They always make sure that my particular dental issues are addressed and if something is ever off, they address it right away with a smile. I don’t work in the area anymore, but I’ve been making the drive to see them for the last 10 years because they are great :-)I can’t recommend them enough!

For over 15 years Ive been visiting THD and love their service. My 3 x annual cleaning are covered by insurance but the two Dr. Tastos always take an interest in the health of my mouth. No aggressive upsell and great preventative advise and very professional staff.

I am the kind of person that is so afraid of dental work, it gives me such anxiety, but whenever I need any work done, the entire staff makes me feel so at ease. After crown job done.It is very surprise to hear that the original cost was not correct and I have to pay more than $500 more on top of more than $800 I already paid at first visit. The reason was dental insurance didn’t approve. I think they should bear the unapproved cost, not customer. Especially it is not on the original treatment estimate.

Dr. James Tasto is the best dentist I have ever had. It started off on the first visit when I had not been to the dentist in years, and I told him I just wanted me teeth cleaned and nothing more. He said Great, we will start with the denial exam. His good sense of humor and skill level has kept me coming back. I am no longer scared of the dentist!

I love going to get my teeth cleaning done here, Vivian its great and very through, she even checks for any throat/neck cancer lumps. Everyone in the office is very welcoming and friendly. I never dread going to the dentist, on the contrary, I get pretty excited once I know my appt date is approaching.

The dental hygienist was really friendly and used the water pick on my teeth (not much digging). They clean your mouth guard for free and dont lecture on how to brush and other things (unless you ask more about it). Dr. Tasto is very thorough with his exam and helped me get rescission surgery setup for a skin graft on my lower tooth.

Ive been going to Torrey hills dental close to 11 years now so I obviously think they’re great. My most recent experience was just yesterday. I had a dental emergency and although they were fully booked I was seen. I walked in with a cracked tooth and walked out with a crown all within the same appointment. I definitely recommend Torrey hills dental. The staff and both dentist are the best!

The front office staff was professional and friendly. The Dental hygienist Vivian was very professional and very thorough explained everything that she was doing made sure that I was comfortable. Dr. Brian Tasto explained the procedures that were most important and what needed be taken care in a timely manner. Glenda went above and beyond the explanation of what my insurance covered, the procedures and broke down every amount of what was going to be covered by my insurance and what my portion of the bill was. We are greeted by the front desk promptly by name and taken back for treatment with in 5 minutes of our appointment (95% on average). Their equipment is state-of-the-art with chair side camera, xrays and magnified tooth details for careful review. They state recommended treatment without pressure, covering options in order of priority to urgency. Now best for last, VIVIAN!! Our hygienist is a professional that has exceeded par excellence in her field. She is practiced at advising her clients in advance as she transitions step by step in her process; and, she systematically cleans derides your teeth of plaque and works over every tooth, takes pictures and advises you NEVER chides you and all within the proper time frame with pictures to show the doc.
